Like so many people in the US, I have watched Bobby Flay on the television so was grateful to try one of his signature restaurants. Remember that the rating here is in the context of burgers and airport food. Order as you walk in, they bring you your food, and then the server makes sure that you have everything you need. Burger was cooked as I liked it, the sweet potato fries were tasty, and there were free soft drink refills. The person taking orders was especially friendly and helpful. I hope to find one of these restaurants "out in the wild". If they did well in an airport, I would expect a restaurant outside the airport would be even better. read more

Got a guy who spent more time hanging out by the bar. Had to call him over to ask for missing item. Had to call him over to ask for check (literally checking in on table in front of me but kept his back to me and never turned around. I finally had the opportunity to try Bobby's Burger Palace! More than a few years back, I'd always see the one in Las Vegas on the strip when I was in town but when I finally made the effort to visit, they were closed. There are Bobby's Burgers (no Palace) in other parts of town such as Caesar's, Harrahs & Paris (which offers a similar if not same menu). Seeing they had Palace locations-some of them in random places-I stumbled upon them while during a layover in ATL. Grateful for the tram since their digital screen showed what shopping and dining was at that terminal, they were also right across from my gate so it was meant to be. Besides the regular lunch/dinner menu, there is also a breakfast menu. Ordered at the side for 'dine-in' (there is also a to-go area on the opposite side) and was given a number. At the tables and counters there were generous amounts of mustard, ketchup and mayo packets along with napkins. There is also bar seating towards the back of the space, and it was pretty full but I was able to find a seat at one of the high counters. Someone brought over water, and my Crunch burger was delivered shortly thereafter. Simple as it is, it's a cheeseburger (American cheese) with Bobby's Sauce and basic chips (maybe original Lays) layered on top. Yes, it's a messy one even though I opted for the sauce on the side but it was good, and hit the spot. The only downside is that I actually didn't order fries since I thought the chips would be enough, and for me it was. Looking forward to trying those too. No one ever came over to take care of the check as I saw this happening with others, so I went back to where I ordered. They accept cash and cards, and the ladies were very nice! I enjoyed my brief time at ATL, and I wouldn't mind doing a layover here again, especially if I'm in this specific terminal since I'd have access to Bobby's again... read more

Quick bite during a layover over a long travel day and looking for fast, easy spot to appeal to everyone in our group. This spot was close to our gate, which helped lessen some travel anxiety. I indulged and went all in with a Bobby's blue cheese burger and sweet potato fries. I requested medium and it was cooked on point. Fries were crunchy and had a seasoned coating. Service was fine. My favorite restaurant in the airport. I love the veggie burger, one of my favorite veggie burgers anywhere. My server today, Caitlin, was excellent. She had a warm and friendly manner, and was very efficient. The only problem I ever have with Bobby's is the seating. Customers are supposed to place their order BEFORE sitting down at a table or the bar. But some customers who hadn't ordered yet had "saved" tables by putting backpacks or bags on them. Then there were customers who had already ordered their their food but couldn't find a place to sit because of the "saved" tables. I wish that Bobby's would find a different way for customers to be seated and order. Every time I have dined here I have found that customers are confused about the process. One of the servers was trying to find places to seat customers who hadn't even already placed ordered. A server tried to seat me at a long table with bar stools on both sides where 3 people were sitting but one of them said, "She isn't with our group!" Even though there were several empty seats, and people normally share these tables. The server did find an empty two top and seated me there. My food was excellent as always. I do wish that they did not use plastic silverware. I don't like single-use plastic ware, they use paper straws so why the plastic utensils? Kudos to Bobby for having a veggie burger option here; I've been disappointed multiple times at his other restaurants, where he often seems to thumb his nose at anyone seeking meatless entree options. And for the most part he got this burger right. Bad veggie burgers are most often bad because the patties are mushy, flavorless globs of vegetables having no business between two buns. This burger had some chew and a little crunch, and the flavors were meaty and rich, with more umami than one might expect. The sauce was nice, and plentifully supplied. Really needed some dill pickle tho. And for 14 bucks, the side of fries should be included. Fine, up-charge for onion rings or cheese fries, but not throwing in a small side of regular fries with a burger seems un-American. The cheese fries came with an ample dousing of Velveeta or some similar industrial product which doesn't particularly taste like cheese, but is familiar enough to be oddly comforting. Service was wonderfully sassy and personable - loved it. High-top dining isn't my fave but hey, at least I found a seat. Ambiance was loud/festive. read more

We landed at ATL in Terminal B, which was convenient since our connecting flight was also departing from the same terminal. With about a two-hour layover and an early start to the day, we decided to grab something to eat. Bobby's, located right across from our gate, caught our eye. Upon entering, we learned the setup: order at the counter first, then get seated while a server takes care of you. The menu was posted on the wall, and after a quick look, we placed our order. We were given a table marker and order ticket but didn't pay until the end. My wife ordered the Greek Yogurt Parfait with a side of sweet potato fries, while I went with the BBQ Smokehouse Burger. Most of the seating was at large communal tables, so we grabbed a couple of spots at the end of the only open one. A server soon came by to take our drink order and confirmed they would be handling our table. The music was noticeably loud--more of a thumping dance-club vibe than an airport restaurant--which wasn't exactly ideal for our tired heads. Still, our food arrived quickly, looked great, and tasted excellent. We lingered while finishing our meals, then our server brought the check and cashed us out. Overall, Bobby's hit the spot for airport dining: quick service, good food, and prices that felt fair by airport standards. Trying to find a decent meal at the airport is always a challenge and this actually felt like somewhere we would choose again when flying through Atlanta. read more

Ok Bobby Flay, you got me. I tried your place again and was not kicked out this time. Now you order as you walk in and sit anywhere you like. Much better. I tried the burger of the month which was a mushroom bacon burger. It was cooked properly and overall enjoyable. The bacon was actual bacon (not nonsense microwave bacon) and the mushrooms were reduced down nicely. Fries were hot and crispy as well. Slightly disappointed that it didn't come with a side of blue corn tortilla and crispy rice encrusted Fresno chiles with a tangerine reduction but I guess we can't have everything. I used to go to the one in Montgomery Mall before it closed, and so far everytime I'm in Atlanta Airport I go here. Their burgers are made fresh, and come out hot and at the temperature you wanted, and the fries are crispy. Service is good, they checked on us multiple times and were speedy when we asked for the check. Ambiance, I mean, its an airport so it's loud but you'd except that in an airport so I am giving it a slight pass. However it was clean and tidy. Came in craving a good burger and they delivered. I ordered the bacon barbecue burger and was pleasantly surprised. I could taste every element of the burger. Strange to say, but it had really good cheese, that didn't get drowned out by the bacon or barbecue sauce. The fries and "Bobby sauce" were ok, they came piping hot and lightly salted. Was in the airport with friends, and I have never eaten here before. Big fan of BF, so excited to get a chance to try the food! Not super busy, we got our orders into Emmanuel who was very friendly and helpful with what we needed to do and how everything worked. Pleasant and professional! Sat down at a table and it wasn't an issue. Mecca was our server and she immediately came over to check in and see about our drink orders and we asked for some extra sauces for the fries and onion rings we ordered. I went with the Bacon Cheeseburger which has potato chips in it to "crunchify", adding to the texture. Cooked perfectly to medium, the way I ordered it. The bacon was spectacular, cooked to perfection and a great complement to the burger and cheese. The Bobby's sauce is like a spicy dipping sauce. Not thick like 1000 island dressing, but not thin either. Great for fries and onion rings. Their ranch dressing is garlic forward, and it's really also perfect for anything you order. Mecca was great! Refills came and we had to-go cups but I needed to wash my hands after eating so I decided to leave my drink on the table. Very glad I came in today. For an airport it's a small oasis where you can relax and get a good meal in without breaking the bank. I say that tongue in cheek because I didn't pay for lunch haha! Don't put your name on a product that doesn't live up to the hype. So had time between flight and always looking for something new to try. Saw Nobby's Burger Palace and had that moment of is it Bobby Flay?! Nah, it can't be. But then I was the giant Bobby head on the outside of the restaurant and figured out it was. So head to the bar and order a Grey Goose and soda. The bartender asks if I want to make it a double. Okay. I've gotten doubles at other Atlanta airport bars and it's usually not too bad on price. Well I could have bought a small bottle of grey goose for the $30 price but lesson learned. Not the place to have a drink. For food, I order the Nacho burger and onion rings. On the website the menu also had a green chili burger, which is what I planned to order but the real menu was different. The food was $20. Not too bad. The burger came out and was a grayish premade patty and the toppings were meh. The bread was stale. The onion rings were good but there were 5 so essentially $1 per ring. I definitely Will never eat here again. Burger King has a better tasting burger. Sorry. Not sorry. Don't do a money grab when you have a reputation to uphold. So far I've tried 2 Bobby Flay restaurants and neither was a place I'd go to again. read more

Arriving back into the states, I was craving a burger. We ended up at Bobby's Burger Palace. When I perused the menu online, it should a gluten free burger option (with lettuce) and that the fries were gluten free. As I approached the counter to order, I was met with an extremely rude NO about the fries. I went ahead and still ordered a burger. I was asked for medium or well done in which I replied well done. My food came out before my drink or silverware. I feel sorry for the server because they were definitely busy and appeared short staffed. She was trying her best. My burger and my friend's burger both came out completely pink. I pushed through with mine, but she opted not to go beyond a bite of hers. Maybe this was an isolated incident, as a lady next to us said it was the best burger she ever had and she'd be willing to drive 1.5 hours for it. Great airport burger at ATL. Burger was delicious and meat seemed to be top quality and cooked to perfection. The bun was soft and flavorful and the burger was put together well. The fries were great and the portion was large. Price was very reasonable for an airport restaurant. They had a to-go option if you are in a hurry to catch a flight, but the service was quick and efficient if you have a few minutes to sit and enjoy your food. And if you have more time, it's a nice spot to sit, ample seating and a bar with beers on tap (I didn't have a drink), and they don't make you feel rush if you are trying to kill time before, say, a delayed flight. All in all a great option for a meal before or between flights (and I guess perhaps after a flight). read more

Your staff deserve 5 stars. Your manager on duty Friday evening deserves this review. Front-line team: exceptional. Warm, professional, attentive. This is entirely about what happened when we asked to speak with a manager, and I'm writing it because someone in leadership needs to see it. Layover dinner. My mom, my 13-year-old son, and me. He ordered a vanilla bean milkshake. One sip, no more... completely out of character. I tasted it. My mom tasted it. We both immediately picked up what tasted like a liquor flavor, similar to Kahlua (may not be exact just providing a descriptor). Our waiter handled it beautifully. Replacement drink, new milkshake, no charge. The new shake had no such taste. It was also our waiter who explained that the restaurant does make alcoholic milkshakes, glass only, and that blender cross-contamination was the likely cause. Staff: 10/10. We asked to speak with a manager before closing out. That's where things went sideways. His first words were not an apology. They were "we don't serve milkshakes with alcohol" -- which painted three people at the table as liars. This denial is even harder to reconcile given that his own staff had already explained to us exactly how it likely happened. He wasn't even working from the same information as his team. He then said, twice, that he wished he could have tasted it himself. I NEED THAT TO LAND: a manager told a mother, twice, that he wasn't sure he believed her. About potential alcohol. Served to her child. He also mentioned remaking the milkshake twice, seemingly unaware his own staff had already resolved it, and misgendered my son in the same conversation. The staff here are genuinely great. But a manager who responds to a potential alcohol-to-minor incident with defensiveness, increasing volume, and repeated doubt toward three guests has a leadership gap that someone above him needs to address. Raising it here first. If I don't see a response from corporate or regional leadership, my next step will be to take this through the appropriate channels. read more

Best airport food I've ever had. Ate here today at the airport, ordered a meal to go, but then realized my friend was going to walk all the way over so I asked the nice girl if I could switch my order to dine-in. Although I did not have food here (on a layover, it was getting late, not much open), they were getting ready to close... the bartender was nice enough to allow us a drink before closing everything up... Had a simple vodka cranberry on ice, and then noticed off to the side the "If you poke you get soaked" sign and it really piqued my curiosity.... I just had to know what that was about... So asking around and then to the bartender, apparently, they have special glasses and special beer taps that fill from the bottom.... WHAT?! How weird and interesting! This is such a great spot for burgers and drinks! I sat at the bar and was greeted by Bria! She was so personable as soon as i sat down. (I am also noting that there were multiple guests that sat at the same time) The bar is clean and continuously wiped as each guest left. You can either order your burger through their kiosk and keep it moving or seat yourself. Bria was patient, and gave every guest the best attention. In Terminal B on a layover, my friend & I wanted a wanted a quick drink. But we found the pickings slim around our gate. Though it was only a few minutes after 10pm on a Monday, all of the restaurants were closed, or trying to close & turning away customers. But we spotted a couple of open stools at Bobby's Burger Palace and hoped we could get a quick drink. The bartender was quite agreeable & promptly served us our drinks, after warning us that the kitchen was closed. Not an issue for us on this layover. Also affable & friendly, we asked our bartender if Bobby Flay had ever stopped in to check on his ATL namesake. He replied that Bobby had visited for the grand opening 5+ years ago but has not returned. Our bartender went on to tell us that Bobby did linger during that appearance & the restaurant team was able to chat with him for a bit. Since the kitchen was already closed, we couldn't try any food. We weren't really hungry, though, since we'd eaten at TPA, but we did see several travelers longingly staring at diners who'd arrived before closing time. I'm not sure if this was a typical Monday evening in Terminal B, but it was quite crowded & it seems like a lot of these restaurants are missing out by closing so early. For context, our flight wasn't scheduled to leave til 11:05pm (& ultimately was delayed for over an hour). My cranberry & vodka was about $10, so quite reasonable for any airport bar. Our efficient bartender was chatty as he multitasked closing down his bar area, which made our short visit fun. I'll definitely stop by again if I find myself in Terminal B ever in the future. read more
