    Their classic. Very good burger.

Great little place inside converted old building for a burger. Really like the experience inside of "the works" with everyone eating and enjoying the many types of food offered. We ate at Pattys and Franks for their classic burgers, patty melt, tater tots, and onion rings. The meat they use is very good. Good flavor and texture. We all enjoyed our burgers and especially the taters and onion rings! If this isn't your thing then take the time and walk around. There are plenty of other choices! I'm going for some Jamaican oxtails the next time around.

This is my daughter's favorite place in the works, when we come here she doesn't want anything else. Her burger is always cooked well and the cashier is always smiling.... will continue to come here!!!!!

Located inside of Chattahoochee Food Works. It's one of the first stalls as soon as you walk in. Looks like it stays pretty busy. Fast and friendly service and the chili dog was really good.

Pretty solid burger. Good meat and fresh. Fries had some seasoning and I ate them without any dipping sauce. Combo includes choice of fries or tots with a glass bottle coke/soda. Overall just a good quality burger but nothing to write home about. Burger combo was $18 and some change. It's worth a try but honestly could've enjoyed a Cookout burger for much much less and still been satisfied.

This is a fun stop at the Chattahoochee Food Works. I had the smash burger and it was good. The fries were good as well. Nothing blew my socks off though the burger was well cooked and had nice crispy edges. The bun was nice as well. I think it could have benefited from a little more tomato. The people behind the counter were wonderfully friendly and cooked the food to order. The food hall is a great location and just being there is fun. I do think Patty and Franks adds to the atmosphere of the place. I think a good burger place anchors a food hall. This is where I do wish we could date with half stars as I would rate this a 3.5.

The foods good and all... but it's on the pricey side... no frills here, just a burger or a hot dog.... This is my second time here... doubt I'll come back

I ordered the bacon cheese patty and probably wouldn't have had the sauce if she'd confirmed I wanted it, but I'm glad I didn't know better. I got to experience the burger as it was meant to be & it's very good! I planned to only eat half since the Chattahoochee Food Works is about exploring and trying various things. I ate the whole thing, right then and there! The burger has the crispy exterior a good burger can have without drying it out. The patty was still juicy and flavorful. The cheese melted just right on it. The sauce made it slightly messy but not too much. The bread was toasted to add another layer of crispy depth and the crispy bacon was good flavorful bacon. I'd definitely order this burger again! The basil mint lemonade is tasty.. I wish I could've saved some to take home & add a splash of bourbon to it. My husband ordered the New Yorker frank and said it was good but a little different due to the toppings.

Quick easy lunch! Just a burger to go. I wanted a great patty off the grill with fresh condiments and I was in West Midtown. Well I went to PATTY AND FRANKS! The Westside Works is located on Chattahoochee and P & F is one of the restaurants in the food hall. There was one customer in front of me so I lovated at the menu for the burger I knew a friend had once. The manager I think, lol took my order and I went with the p and f burger w/ no tomato . Sooooooooo good! The music was jammin while I was waiting in the hall. You can tell when its lunch time because people are on the move!! The smells of food in the hall had me hungry and I was really for my burger. Yall I got my order and took the first bite in the car! Lol I will be back! Thanks Patty and Frank! See you soon.

If you want a solid classic cheeseburger with no bells and whistles this is a good spot. It's conveniently located at the Works and the service is quick. The 4 stars is mainly for the burger, the fries were lackluster and deserve a 2 or 3.

Get the lemonade it's amazing! My husband had a burger and I had fries and they were both delicious they make everything fresh as soon as you order it so it is always hot and delicious

love talk about a mountain of a cheese burger & crisp fries that you only dream about... but it's actually real! not the mention the gigantic hot dog i took my hot dog loving son here as a treat after an appointment & he was beside himself when it arrived. not to mention, nearly ate the whole thing! he's 5 & very picky with his food. my burger was cooked to perfection & topped perfectly. loved that the pickles weren't on the burger, but wrapped on the outside so i could eat them alone or put them on myself. they too were crisp & flavorful. the bun... heavenly. buttered & toasted... my mouth is watering just thinking about it. service was quick & the staff was super nice. loved the old soda shop vibes of the counter bar area & branding. can't wait to come back here.

It seems that every day I read an article about the death of fine dining. Frankly (no pun intended to restaurant's name), I think the movement described is not nearly as extreme in reality. There are amazing fine dining spots that will stay and continue to open despite the influx of some high end casual establishments. Patty and Frank's is one of those places highlighting a fairly new type of dining experience, in particular casual, with high quality ingredients like Piedmontese beef and charging for it at a level of a fine dining establishment. Yet, with higher quality of ingredients comes a higher responsibility to prepare them well relative to, say, a sloppy fast food joint. Many will have a hard time absorbing the prices here. Twelve bucks for a chili dog might seem like a lot, but after considering that the frank costs four to five times as much as a typical hot dog, some of the math becomes clearer. Came to eat here on a busy Sunday afternoon and ordered a couple hot dogs, onion rings and a beer. The wait time was quite long for a dish as simple as this, but that's not the reason that Patty and Frank's disappointed me. Instead, it was a combination of things. After about twenty minute wait of sitting in the ridiculously uncomfortable chairs in the walkway, a brown paper bag gets tossed on the counter in front of me without a word or a smile. Despite eating directly at the counter, it was odd that the food was bagged and also despite leaving a 20% tip on the selection screen. Unpacking what's in the bag, the hot dogs looked like the least appetizing thing that I've seen in a while. Sloppily made, sloppily wrapped and squished, with everything falling out of them. There is something to be said about presentation that needs to exist even in a casual restaurant and while nobody expects a platter topped with micro greens and flowers, some basic attention to put together a hot dog needs to be there. Trying out the chili dog, the first noticeable thing is the proportions are completely off. The tiny frank gets completely lost, drowned in enormous amounts of Chile and squished bread, it just was not enjoyable to eat. The frank itself is excellent and I might buy it to cook at home, but the execution was not good. Moving on to onion rings, the disappointment continued. The batter is terrible, tasting like frozen rings from a supermarket, with the onion slices inside being the thick exterior side ones that are so chewy, they are hard to eat through. One of the worst onion rings preparations I have tried, period. Managed to eat about half of the meal at the end, leaving pretty disappointed. As much as I respect the taste of Andew Z. and praise the quality of some ingredients used here, this was just not a good preparation, service or presentation. On top of it, it was quite confusing why the default selections on the iPad are 18-22% tip, when there is no service at all. It's unfair to restaurant servers in higher end establishments who work very hard for the same percentage tip, creating amazing experiences for people instead of throwing a brown paper bag with food on the table. Thus, although I realize the tip is optional, if the establishment is a purely to go model, a first time visitor has no way to know what to expect and having these suggested options on the screen is a bit deceiving in my opinion. It would be much better if the restaurant focused on paying the employees better directly and charging appropriate menu prices without having to use borderline deceptive tactics to generate tipping on domains that never got tipped before.

Did you know the burgers and hot dogs @ Patty & Frank's are from none other than famous TV Chef Andrew Zimmern, who also happens to consider yelp "useless"? Chef Zimmern once said in an interview: "If you're aggregating a lack of expertise, then when I plug in "best sushi bar in Los Angeles", Yelp doesn't help me at all. So, if you are a huge food geek like me that really believes in quality... not expensive food, just quality, above all other things, quality. If you're into quality, Yelp is not for you." While I don't really agree with his statement, it does become a strong argument when considering the current 3 stars rating of P&F after 11 reviews, five of which are 1 star. I mean seriously, I get people being upset over the cost, but the quality is definitely here. I will say this: There was a time when I made it my business to visit as many restaurants featured on food shows as possible. We visited over 25 from Diner's, Drive-in's & Dives, 20+ from Man vs. Food and more than a dozen each from Food Wars, Best Thing I Ever Ate, Bizarre Foods and Rachel Ray's $40 a Day. Chef Zimmern, despite eating and enjoying the weirdest of cuisines on his show, was SPOT ON with most every place he featured that we've tried. Unlike some of the other food show hosts (yes I'm eyeballing you Guy Fieri), I truly believe he has good taste! So I simply had to visit Patty & Franks. [ THE FOOD ] The design itself looks like a 50's Diner and its plain façade made it seem as if there would be nothing special about the food. However, looks can be deceiving because this was a SURPRISINGLY DELICIOUS burger. We chose the Bacon Cheese Patty ($14) - two beef patties from Pat LaFrieda, American cheese, shredded iceberg lettuce, sliced red onion and tomatoes, Patty Sauce, and pickles on the side + crispy bacon. We selected P&F's Famous Gravy Fries ($9) to go with our burger, which was a mixture of fries, onion rings, tater tots, cheese curds, and a delicious gravy! Surprisingly awesome flavor for such a simple dish. Next time I will ask them to be a little less stingy with the gravy now that I know how much it adds to the overall yelptasticness! PRO TIP - Unless you are a super eater, the Famous Gravy Fries are more than plentiful enough for two or even three people. [ AMBIANCE & SERVICE ] The diner style counters are okay, but something about them left us wanting to eat outside instead. Service could use improvement in the friendliness department, but our meal came out hot & fresh, so no complaints there. [ FINAL THOUGHTS ] THUMBS UP!!! These definitely are not fast food prices so I don't plan on being a regular, but I'll definitely be back! Next I hope to try one of the "franks" as well as the burger Andrew call his favorite in Atlanta - The French Onion Patty. Bon Appétit! 2022 / 121

The answer now, as then, is "What'll ya have?"? Of course you have to get a couple of hot dogs with chili and cole slaw, with a side of fresh chopped onions and some mustard to add to the heart burn. Some onion rings, and a Frosted Orange (ust get one, it's big enough to share with your spouse or sweetheart.) The Varsity claims to be the largest drive-in in the country, if not the world. Maybe it is. It covers two city blocks, seats 800 inside and has space for hundreds of cars. It now has eight locations around Georgia, some of them spic 'n span new, but my heart will always be on North Street in Atlanta, where the restaurant had its start in 1928. Some things have changed. Prices are up. The people that take your order seem a little more patient. And no longer are there special lines for women (and the Athens location, now closed} doesn't have to 'splain anymore why women aren't allowed inside.

And the chili hamburger is an abomination that should not exist. Think a combination of a crappy hamburger and the worst sloppy joe you've ever had. I just assume this place has to be trading off a nostalgia. The service was slow to the point of indifferent. Many of the tables are dirty. The service was ok...just like any other fast food restaurant these days. We really don't expect great service from the front counter workers anymore and Skip's was no different. But I had to do the Coney because it reminded me a little bit of home LOL.
