Items for sale at flea market
    Bill P.

I have to update my review with a warning to early bird shoppers. I went to the final flea market for 2024 on Sunday Oct 27 at about 4am and paid my early bird fee of $5, which is fine but I was told that I could not park in the rear lot by the vendors because of an event that day. I was told to park across the street, which turned out to be a desolate lot that is not patrolled by any security. I saw people urinating between cars and I was accosted by someone who wanted money for my parking. I told him to getaway, he was wearing a radio like an employee but he did not have a Yellow Staff shirt on, then I asked other employees across the street and nobody knew this guy. Wolffs Flea Market needs to get more early morning security and/or Rosemont police officers at that separate parking lot to,protect the visitors/shoppers. Very disturbing incident.

I can't believe I am just hearing about this flea market now. I work in the area I live pretty close by and I had never even heard of this massive flea market. It is well worth the trip. It only cost two dollars, you do have to be mask the whole time but it's worth it. The variety of goods and products are incredible. I was in awe by how big the market was! I had a great time searching for a deal and finding some great items! Great place to buy discounted body wash, shampoos, conditioners, makeup, shoes, decor, and one of a kind items! Enjoy! I'll be back next week!

I love flea markets and knew about this one for decades, just never got around to it. I live in the city and assumed the prices would be higher than in WI or IN. I was so wrong! $20 got me a huge haul! Decorations, needed supplies, and even furniture! I was pleasantly surprised and did not even mind the early hours. Just $5 to get in and free parking. Can get there before 6@ and thrift in the dark for $3. So fun and great way to get your steps! Food available and get to use the theater bathrooms. It's only around during the warm months, in Chicago that means very limited window. Try it once and you'll be a regular. You can find anything and everything. In these times of inflation , a great buy is hard to find, not here! Staff are helpful and place is kept well organized for flea market chaos . You'll love it!

The flea market offers an impressive view of planes landing at O'Hare.

I'm surprised by the good reviews for Wolff's. Save for the impressive view of planes landing at O'Hare (see my picture up top), I was majorly underwhelmed by this flea market. I expect overpriced crap at all flea markets, but usually, with time and effort, you can find a few gems for a good price. Not here -- not for me, anyway. This reminded me of a garage sale -- you know the kind -- where the home owner thinks they can get a 70% return on that knife sharpener they bought in 1983. People: you're at a flea market/garage sale -- price your stuff to move, not to sit around in your junk van for several years. Even if your stuff is brand new in-the-box, why would I wait to buy it at full price at a flea market? If I'm paying full price, I'll buy it somewhere that I can easily return it if I have a problem. I even saw underwear selling at full price. WTF? That said, the place is HUGE and there's no way I closely inspected every single booth, so there's probably a few deals to be had. I didn't see any though. Lots of fun people watching, too.

It's hard to review as are you reviewing the vendors or the Wolffs Management. The management are okay but they have a little attitude to start, but warm up fast once they know you. The vendors are definitely a variety of stuff and types. The types are described as having clean or dirty stuff and prices of over or at market value. There is definitely not a good deal anywhere anymore. It's a place to find stuff, but not unique stuff. It you need the following, they got it: toys, cosmetics, cleaning, bathroom, laundry, clothing, tools, video games, movies, sports, furniture, nuts, fresh baked goods, fruits/vegetables or random junk. The best booths are people who are having their garage sale at the Flea market, instead of their home. Great traffic business for them and good prices for the customers. The fast food vendors are over priced with okay food. If you are looking for something specific, you won't find it. It's mostly common stuff.

Weird is is my middle name, so naturally this place is right up my alley. Wolff''s Flea Market is located outside the Rosemont Arena. You will find the most random things, like antiques, books, makeup (I would never buy makeup from a Flea Market, but different strokes for different folks) comic books, unusual art work. Some things are awful, but still fun to look at. Vendors sell fresh baked goods, honey, fruit. I never actually bought anything here unless food counts as a purchase. My brother on the other hand bought few pieces which allowed him to triple his money. You will find many vendors trying to sell you complete junk for way too much, but that comes with the territory. I come for the atmosphere, it's great to surround yourself with the craziness of weird objects and strange people ( like myself).

It's a flea market. It does cost $2 each to get in. Free parking. It's located in the parking lot of the Allstate Arena. There are people selling New stuff and junk. Little of his little of that. Food too. Bathrooms are inside the arena and they keep them clean. Major bonus. Took us about an hour And a half to walk the whole thing, so it's pretty big.

I visited the North Branch Market a few weeks ago and this weekend decided to check out the Park Ridge Farmer's Market, and it's another great market. Honestly, I don't get the popularity of something like the Green City Market and though the Lincoln Square Farmer's Market (which used to be my usual) isn't anywhere near as good. There are lots of vendors here. The portion of the market where I entered had a lot of food and goods vendors--pizza truck, ice cream company, bakery, kettle corn, olive oil (there were two!), textiles, soaps & scents, and more. I thought that street was the extent of the market, but when I neared the end I saw that it extends into the parking lot on the street and that section has a lot more. There were at least five different farm operations represented, a man selling meats, and there was a cheese stand as well. It's the height of summer, so I ended up with plums, blackberries, blue cheese and curds, some bread, and a couple other goodies. This market was a really great balance of the Farm in Farmer's market with so many selling here and various other sundries. A four-piece classical quartet serenaded folks as they wandered the market; I assume that the musical entertainment changes from week to week. They had a children's activity booth where this weekend kids were playing with clay with a local artist, and there was a community booth where a local food pantry was collecting donations (the market was also encouraging folks to buy two of an item to donate one to the food pantry). Again, their schedule changes, so I got the impression that the children's activity may be different on different weekends. The market opens early (7 a.m., I think) and the kid's booth starts around 9. Parking is excellent. There's a lot off the street where the market is held with space for a great deal of cars--I think its primary function is as a municipal lot. There's also copious amounts of street parking around as well. If you're in the area on Saturday while the market is in swing, this is a fantastic one you should put on your agenda.

There's no entrance fee, but of course the vendors cost money. When you enter, you have to get a wristband if you plan to have any alcohol; they will check your ID to confirm your age, so bring that if you want some spirits or wine. The other option is to purchase a "passport", which, as of 2024, costs $26. The passport gives you the chance to get a sample at the various booths that are offering alcohol. It's my understanding that you can't buy from those booths--just get a sample--but there is one booth where you can purchase individual glasses of wine/beer. I have seen at least a couple of these vendors here at the farmer's market but there were several that were new to me as well. I ended up getting a few different things for us for dinner; I picked up something from the food truck selling Philippine cuisine, and I got a burger for myself. I also had to get an elote for the babe since she's a huge fan of corn. My burger was fantastic, even after bringing it home. It was a smash burger that had Munster cheese and apricot jam. Makes my mouth water thinking about it a few hours later! I didn't try any of the BBQ plate from the Philippine place, but my significant other said it was really good... and the little one seemed to like the pork bun I bought for her. I was really pleased that the prices, though a little high, really weren't bad for this sort of event. The portion sizes were good for the money--I was stuffed after finishing my burger. There was a band playing this evening and they were pretty enjoyable. The organizers had at least two compost/recycle/trash stations set up, which was helpful (and I was impressed they include the compost option!). I also appreciated that there were several tables set up for folks to listen, eat, and socialize; there were also folks who brought their own chairs, too. Overall this was a fun event, and I'm looking forward to returning for the 2024 finale in September.

The wife says we came here once before many years ago but I don't remember it.  They've been at it here for 53 years since 1972. Normally, we avoid it due to the madhouse scene that is usually here (like when traffic can't even enter the parking lot from busy Milwaukee Ave because the parking lot is overflowing lol).  Well, it was -3F on a frigid Friday night and we were across Milwaukee Ave at the Jewel, and it was eerily quiet in Jewel, and we thought it was as good a time as any to also visit Jerry's lol. Well, it was relatively calm, and we found a close by parking spot, but there were still plenty of shoppers in Jerry's.  Their inventory is huge and truly impressive as are their prices.  No wonder this place is so super popular.  We picked up some cherries for $2.49 per lb and strawberries at a promo price of $0.79 per 1 lb container.  I would say 4.5 stars for our visit tonight, but really on their normal super-crowded shopping basis, I would still say 3 stars overall.  I don't personally think the hassle factor of shopping here for fruits and vegetables is worth it for the savings and the variety of offerings, thus the 2 star deduct.  But you have to decide for yourself, and apparently for many others, Jerry's is well worth the trip, and kudos to Jerry's for that and continued good luck and success to them.
