If you're up early enough and have nothing better to do. You should check out Wolff's Flea Market. They now have an overflow lot which makes parking easier, but you do have about a 1/2 mile walk. The staff is always professional and nice. It cost $3 to get in. You can find a lot of stuff from plants, food items, lawn equipment, knick knacks, plants, books and a lot more. They have food vendors on site are on site because you will build up an appetite walking around. It's a sea of humanity at this place. I have been here a few times, they have quite a wide selection of vendors selling different goods and things. They also have a handful of food trucks. Plenty of parking but there is a minimal entrance fee, be sure to get your hand stamped if you want in & out privileges. There's a lot to see here, some sellers have Amazon returns, a number have tools and outdoor equipment, a lot of small trinkets, plants, baked goods, fruit and veggie vendors. I have to update my review with a warning to early bird shoppers. I went to the final flea market for 2024 on Sunday Oct 27 at about 4am and paid my early bird fee of $5, which is fine but I was told that I could not park in the rear lot by the vendors because of an event that day. I was told to park across the street, which turned out to be a desolate lot that is not patrolled by any security. I saw people urinating between cars and I was accosted by someone who wanted money for my parking. I told him to getaway, he was wearing a radio like an employee but he did not have a Yellow Staff shirt on, then I asked other employees across the street and nobody knew this guy. Wolffs Flea Market needs to get more early morning security and/or Rosemont police officers at that separate parking lot to,protect the visitors/shoppers. Very disturbing incident. read more

I can't believe I am just hearing about this flea market now. I work in the area I live pretty close by and I had never even heard of this massive flea market. It is well worth the trip. It only cost two dollars, you do have to be mask the whole time but it's worth it. The variety of goods and products are incredible. I was in awe by how big the market was! I had a great time searching for a deal and finding some great items! Great place to buy discounted body wash,shampoos, conditioners, makeup, shoes, decor, and one of a kind items! Enjoy! I love flea markets and knew about this one for decades, just never got around to it. I live in the city and assumed the prices would be higher than in WI or IN. I was so wrong! $20 got me a huge haul! Decorations, needed supplies, and even furniture! I was pleasantly surprised and did not even mind the early hours. Just $5 to get in and free parking. Can get there before 6@ and thrift in the dark for $3. So fun and great way to get your steps! Food available and get to use the theater bathrooms. It's only around during the warm months, in Chicago that means very limited window. Try it once and you'll be a regular. You can find anything and everything. Place was packed! Got there at 11 am. Took a bit to find parking and there is no rhyme or reason to the parking situation. They charge $3 a head to get in. They had a lot of booths! With a good variety of stuff! And took prob 2 hrs for us to get through the whole thing. There were some food trucks. I couldn't find the bathroom. I didn't buy anything either. Tried to go today after a 10 yr hiatus, only to not even get in. 8AM the whole area was swarming with cars from every direction. I was quickly stuck in nasty thick traffic. Turns out there is a PM concert so they've closed all but ONE parking lot for the flea market. So the hundreds of cars driving around the arena weren't leaving like I thought - they were all looping around looking for a parking spot. Cars were parked illegally all over the side streets. Cops were telling people to come back in an hour or just join the other idiots in a pointless looping parade. Wasted an hour of my Sunday morning. I went home. read more

Place is huge! Bring a wagon or cart to put your stuff in. Some of the venders prices are a lil much but other than that.

This place is a crap shoot. Some weekends we go and there are LOTS of vendors, both "always theres" and new ones. But other weekends we go and there is hardly anyone there. Vendor turn out is NOT contingent on it being a holiday weekend or lack of holiday, but some weekends Wolff's closes early (due to an incoming venue at the All State Arena) and that does seem to affect the number of vendors, as does, for obvious reasons, the weather. On the days when the sun is shining, there is a breeze and nothing planned at the All State Arena, you could spend the entire day talking with nice &/or knowledgeable vendors and simply have a blast. read more

I'm surprised by the good reviews for Wolff's. Save for the impressive view of planes landing at O'Hare (see my picture up top), I was majorly underwhelmed by this flea market. I expect overpriced crap at all flea markets, but usually, with time and effort, you can find a few gems for a good price. Not here -- not for me, anyway. This reminded me of a garage sale -- you know the kind -- where the home owner thinks they can get a 70% return on that knife sharpener they bought in 1983. People: you're at a flea market/garage sale -- price your stuff to move, not to sit around in your junk van for several years. Even if your stuff is brand new in-the-box, why would I wait to buy it at full price at a flea market? If I'm paying full price, I'll buy it somewhere that I can easily return it if I have a problem. I even saw underwear selling at full price. WTF? That said, the place is HUGE and there's no way I closely inspected every single booth, so there's probably a few deals to be had. It's hard to review as are you reviewing the vendors or the Wolffs Management. The management are okay but they have a little attitude to start, but warm up fast once they know you. The vendors are definitely a variety of stuff and types. The types are described as having clean or dirty stuff and prices of over or at market value. There is definitely not a good deal anywhere anymore. It's a place to find stuff, but not unique stuff. It you need the following, they got it: toys, cosmetics, cleaning, bathroom, laundry, clothing, tools, video games, movies, sports, furniture, nuts, fresh baked goods, fruits/vegetables or random junk. The best booths are people who are having their garage sale at the Flea market, instead of their home. Great traffic business for them and good prices for the customers. Weird is is my middle name, so naturally this place is right up my alley. Wolff''s Flea Market is located outside the Rosemont Arena. You will find the most random things, like antiques, books, makeup (I would never buy makeup from a Flea Market, but different strokes for different folks) comic books, unusual art work. Some things are awful, but still fun to look at. Vendors sell fresh baked goods, honey, fruit. I never actually bought anything here unless food counts as a purchase. My brother on the other hand bought few pieces which allowed him to triple his money. You will find many vendors trying to sell you complete junk for way too much, but that comes with the territory. I come for the atmosphere, it's great to surround yourself with the craziness of weird objects and strange people ( like myself). read more

This flea market is a mix of new stuff and old junk, like rusty tools. It's usually a crap shoot as to what you will see here on any given weekend, though one can find some of the same vendors week after week or even longer. My favorite is the guy hawking old 8x10 photos, I always see him there and I keep adding photos for my basement walls. At times it will seem as though you're at some bazaar in another country when you hear the foreign languages and then you're hit with various odors, not all of them pleasant. The $1 admission is nice although you'll find way better stuff at the Kane County fairgrounds. read more

I have been a long time flea market vendor and this place is my best clientele. I try to carry a mix of everything new old antiques and junk because everyone wants a little something different! The staff is pretty strict with bootlegs and knockoffs but I am fine with that because I do not sell any counterfeit goods! I am big on Americana, collectibles, sports stuff and beer and liquor merchandising. The staff is on edge in the morning because most vendors have a hard time following instructions but all in all are nice people. It's great as a buyer because there is a wide variety of stuff to choose from and treasure hunt. Food is subpar but I noticed some new food trucks and I hit up one for iced coffee that was pretty good today! Now the early closing days and all this stupid vendors that leave the place at 11:00am???people don't come any more. It's noon and this place is empty. I sold here. I sell sterling silver jewelry and costume jewelry. I tried it three times and I don't think I'll ever go back. I noticed people here are looking for REALLY EXTREMELY GREAT DEALS (even below market price for silver) and majority of them are going to the flea market hoping to find something to re-sell. It costs $35 to set up a booth at weeeeeeee hours of the morning and extra money for tables and weights. The traffic of the place was very good (but it really depends on where they place you). I noticed JUNK sold a lot better than nicer items in this place. You would see people walking around with the occasional toilet seat they bought from a dealer there. If other flea markets are visited by shabby chic ladies who wear clothing from Anthropologie and decorate their Cottage Living homes like professional designers, this flea market is populated by scary old white guys with stubby cigars hanging out of their mouths and clothing they purchased in 1983 and have only laundered a few times since. Their homes likely look like an episode of Hourding: Buried Alive. But I never want to know that first hand. And yet, I kinda like this place. Soooo much crap. No other word for it. Simply crap. Lots o, lots o crap! And yet, my family found about $50 bucks worth of stuff worth buying. We didn't need any of it. But it's ours now. What did we purchase? Well here you go: a Mickey Mouse hat, an old fashioned pencil sharpener, five assorted vintage glass bottles, a small tapestry, five Holloween Village settings, an iPod case and two MAD magazines from the 1970's. Now I've got ya jealous! It's all mine! You'll have to go and search through the dollar store rejects, dirty stuffed animals, expired Little Debbie snack treats and rusty old tools to get your own. I love this place! So much fun to just walk around and see stuff you don't need. And than buy said stuff because of the great deal. Even if you go for discount cleaning supplies, they have it. The earlier you get there, the better stuff you'll find. Here is a break down of how to navigate. Generally, he tables in the back are newer people. They come on and off. Pros- the chance of them having new stuff is higher. They are still getting their flea market feet so deals can be made. The buyer has the upper hand. Cons- they are flakey. If you buy something and it breaks or doesn't work, good luck returning it. Since they don't go all the time or are always in a new spot. The tables towards the front are the regulars. Pros-more likely to refund you next week if you are unhappy with the purchase. They have a steady amount of goods. They generally have a lot more on the tables. Cons-harder to haggle. These are your seasoned guys and gals. Either way though, you can't go wrong. You will leave with something you never knew you wanted. read more

I recently debuted as a dealer on Sunday at Rosemont and it was a great experience! Don Wolff was very quick in responding to little ole me with accurate directions and even weather info. Considering the enormous scope of this tightly run operation, he did NOT have to care about a first timer like me, but he did, and I was impressed. I got there after my gig in Mt. Prospect, around 2:30 am and I landed about 25th in line. When line started moving, shortly after my arrival, this tight and well thought out operation was handled quickly and efficiently from beginning to end. First word of advice: don't go on Saturday. I did and was so unimpressed, and vendors even told me not to go on a Saturday. On Saturday, only a small number of vendors participate. Ok, now that you know that, now go on Sunday. On Sunday, the entire parking lot is filled with vendors of all sorts. Plan to spend a lot of time if you want to see everything. I mean a lot of time. Half a day maybe. Some people might hate the sounds/sights of the very low aircraft landing at O'hare, but I like it. It definitely gives this place a unique vibe. A fun time to find all sorts of interesting stuff. There is a vendor who has little statues made by a guy in Mexico who creates them out of scrap metal. I thought that was cool. I bought a bunch of little gifts for my dad for Father's Day such as a little tank, helicopter and cannon -and they were super cheap for being so cool looking, recycled and unique. They had some pretty, inexpensive jewelry as well. If you are missing some buttons, they had a "button man" with hundreds of thousands of buttons -you are bound to find what you need. Some of the stuff is straight up junk, but you can also find some unique deals there. The one guy in particular with the silver hair who you can hear screaming all over the place. He wanted to kick me out because I spit on the ground....well its dusty out here as its right off the interstate. And I mean right off. This is definitely if not one of the best flea markets in the Chicago area in terms of it's sheer size and deals. When the weather is ideal and there isn't a Kane County market going on the same weekend, you will find plenty of vendors. A lot of other local Yelpers recommend Kane over Wolff's. But let's face it, Kane is more of an antiques and craft market. That in turn equals higher prices and less chances of bargaining. I know this all too well, because a lot of the Kane vendors are pretty fixed on their pricing. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I love finding a good/fair deal. Granted, a lot of the items at Wolff's are not too desirable but there are many, many items of all categories. The people watching is quite interesting. This weekly market brings out all kinds of people to it, young and old, etc. Admission is $2.00, but, if you follow Wolff's flea market on twitter, it's occasionally free with their discounted tweets. (Come on, who doesn't like free?!) Best time to get there is early in the A.M. Even though there are plenty of free parking spaces, it becomes more of a hassle later on in the morning. If the majority of the vendors leave before 1:30, then perhaps they should consider making that the closing time rather than 3. I was charged to get into a nearly empty flea market at 1:27. Had I been told before entering that it was free after 1:30, I would have waited those three minutes and saved the money I just wasted. When I asked for a refund, I was told it was too late because the money box was gone. I bought nothing because there was next to nothing left.
