I was assigned Anna who was awesome as well as all the assistants showing me the various exercises. The front desk ladies are helpful in booking appointments and running things smoothly. I'd get texts as appointment reminders too. Overall I'm very pleased that I was able to go here for treatment.

Two and a half months later, I was able to regain my range of motion and strength in the affected area as well. I owe my recovery to Dr. Talia Strahler, she was wonderful, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout this entire process! I would guess that people oftentimes have questions if they'll ever fully recover from comparable surgeries or feel that the process might be too difficult. I had similar thoughts and feelings, but once I got here they all went away. This recovery was definitely a team effort and I thank everyone so much for being the absolute best. It was such a welcoming environment, the staff is easy to communicate with. Scheduling is very easy and flexible, it's wonderful to get reminder text messages about upcoming appointments. Again, everyone is so friendly that oftentimes the work you're doing doesn't really feel like work because you're being checked-in on and/or there is great music playing in the background. This was an experience that I will not forget, nor the people involved! I know that if I ever need physical therapy again that I'll come back here in a heartbeat. I wish nothing but the best to everyone there and future patients!

My therapist was Barry, he is an amazing person. Thank you for all your work…read more The one star is about this: I do need to alert of something, the office does medical equipment requests for patients through Zynex. The staff at Endeavor said my insurance should cover and if not Zynex would have a small charge per month. That is not true, my insurance did not cover my electronic pulse massager device and even though I returned the device, Zynex sent me a bill for 317.00 for using it for 3 months. You can buy these devices for so much cheaper than this on the internet. Before ordering it, Zynex staff said if my insurance usually covers this device and if it does not cover it they would only charge me $25 per month. I guess the scammers always need to get creative with charges. Like I said before, the bill received is of 317 dollars for 3 months. I do not have much money and I feel bad for people receive these bills when their insurance does not cover. On top of it the total is way more than they were told. I will change my review/stars if office confirms they will deal with this and alert other patients of how this company will trick you. Update: I called Zynex, and they lowered the charges to I think I heard 125 or 175, I am really upset and I had to hung up. Still, this is not the charges I agreed to. Then Zynex sent me an email and said they would lower it again to 75 dollars. My therapist thanked me for letting him know and said they would avoid using Zynex. I updated my stars because Barry was amazing, my issues were with Zynex. I just hope they make anything possible to protect their patients from this type of company. Maybe just recommend them to buy devices online at discount. Just be careful of these rentals, anywhere. The experience was very disheartening but hey, "This is America".

Blunt in the best way, funny, optimistic, and clearly someone who cares deeply about doing things the right way. You can tell he comes from a military background, not because he's rigid, but because his intent is always about getting the job done with high standards and real purpose. I've been going to him for a couple of years now. I'm 38, play men's league baseball, and I'm definitely not in the best shape of my life. Still, Dr. Davis has made it possible for me to keep playing, stay on the field, and actually contribute to my team's success. More than once, he's done something in a session that made me stop and think, "Whoa... I can actually do that better than I thought." What really sets him apart is his practicality. I have a home gym, sent him a picture of it, and he completely nailed a customized workout plan around my nagging injuries: no extreme stuff, no gimmicks, just clever, realistic, practical work. I tend to play like I forget I'm 38, and he helps keep me honest and functional. He's incredibly knowledgeable, has a great sense of humor, and as a teacher who's on his feet and mentally drained all day, I genuinely look forward to my sessions with him. That says a lot. Highly recommend Dr. Davis and Training Room ATX to athletes, or honestly, anyone who wants to get better. You'll be in great hands.

From the beginning, I could tell how humble & kind Ted was and took as much time he could to understand what I had gone through with previous injuries & pain points I had in my body. He made sure to do his proper assessments and come up with an initial workout/PT plan that became more customized to my body as he learned more from how my body reacted. I mainly communicate with Ted over WhatsApp and we set in person check ups based on how I am doing throughout my workout/rehab program. At first, I wasn't too sure how this would work if our in person meetings were very limited but Ted is a great communicator on WhatsApp by making sure you have everything you need. I send all my videos of different exercises I do in my workout plan to get guidance & tips from Ted & address anything that causes pain. I've dealt with lower back pain for many years and never thought I would be able to do heavy lifts like squats or deadlifts. However, Ted has been the only one to get me past that point and this is the strongest I've been. Even with setbacks at times, Ted reassures me that it is a part of the process and I always bounce back & make a lot more progress. Thanks for everything thus far Ted and I am excited to see how far we will get! If you are like me and have a heavy internet in weightlifting & tried a ton of different PTs, Chiropractors, Doctors, etc with minimal progress on your pain then its time you meet with Ted.

Through videoconferencing, he conducted an initial assessment of my body movements, diagnosed my source of discomfort, and prescribed a set of stretches to increase my mobility and flexibility. After 3-4 weeks, my pain during squatting disappeared and hasn't returned since. In terms of coaching, my goals were to get stronger and more muscular overall focusing on my posterior chain. Dr. Ted created a lifting program that included a mix of exercises to meet my goals as well as a plan for bulking that included tracking my calories and macros. What I like best about Dr. Ted is that he listens to you and thinks carefully about what your goals are because he truly cares about helping you achieve them. He's accessible through multiple avenues of communication. He provides feedback through videos of your lifts, asks about your workout after each one through messaging, and makes changes based on what you share with him. He patiently listens to and solicits ongoing feedback while maintaining a calm and positive demeanor. He helps you cognitively reframe your behavior when you're feeling down or unmotivated to help keep you on track. In less than 6 months, I've gained several inches of muscle everywhere including 2.5" of growth in my glutes. I recommend him highly if you need a professional with a rare mix of physical therapy knowledge, lifting experience, and motivational techniques. He provides a holistic exercise program that you can trust to keep you physically safe while optimizing your physique goals and maintaining your motivation.

She said they cannot store my medical files online. I said that's only if I don't sign HIPAA. She said, "Well then, if you don't sign HIPAA, then you're not good fit with us." I don't have a problem signing HIPAA. I never said I don't want to sign HIPAA. I just know from my chiropractor's office that they store medical files in file cabinets because none of their patients have signed HIPAA. Lady Bird can store all of my medical files online and add me to the system as long as I sign HIPAA. I just don't want to log in to look at my exercises because I already have a gazillion accounts online. I did not appreciate her attitude. I want to express a huge thanks to Dr. Gumbs on helping me race my first half marathon and return…read moreto running after so many years of having being down and out due to injury. Years ago as a teen cross country runner, I had regularly gotten sidelined because of overuse injuries. I experienced multiple stress fractures in both tibias and my foot. Following high school, I suffered from lingering chronic leg pain in my left leg that just never left -- in fact it affected me for over a decade through my twenties and early thirties. Over that span, I couldn't consistently run without the pain overwhelming me. I missed running and racing a lot! However, my journey changed for the better once I started working with Dr. Gumbs. Like me, Dr. Gumbs had been a competitive runner, and he knew what it was like to battle injuries that felt intractable. He had been through a similar situation in college. Nevertheless, I was skeptical of physical therapy in general. I had been to a ton of PT when I was a runner in high school, and looking back, I was so disappointed by it. The experience for me was not personalized at all -- I would get only 5-10 minutes to talk to the PT, before they would send me to do a list of exercises by myself while they moved on to the next patient. Fortunately, Dr. Gumbs was absolutely nothing like that. All of our sessions were one-on-one and his focus was very personalized. Our first session was 90 minutes long, and he thoroughly listened to me talk through my injury history. He asked me tons of questions and examined my movements -- comparing especially the performance of my left vs. right leg. He walked me through the science of how chronic pain is different than short-term, acute pain. He put together a treatment plan that not only targeted my inner leg (where it hurt most), but also my hip and back, which were weak/tight and contributing to the leg pain. He would carefully make sure I was performing the exercises correctly, and as we met each week, he would re-examine my movements, hear how my week went, and add new exercises based on my progress. One week, he filmed me running on a treadmill, and we spent quite a bit of time examining both the strengths and inefficiencies of my gait. He helped me set up a running plan, in addition to an exercise and stretch plan. My pain wasn't solved overnight, but as I stayed consistent with the training plan, it became less noticeable. I started to build the confidence to run again without fear, and eventually I was able to build up to running over an hour non-stop. When I felt ready, I signed up for the 3M Half Marathon and finished in under 2 hours. After years of struggle, I NEVER thought that I could achieve that. But now that I have, my next goal is to race a marathon. It's hard to express how much it means to me to return to running and racing, because it was such an important part of my life that was lost for so long. Without Dr. Gumbs' care, patience, knowledge and support, I would not have gotten this far. For that, I can't express how happy and grateful I am!
