Each experience was professional, warm and comfortable. From the moment you contact CP to the end of a session, it is an efficient and thorough process with excellent service. Most recently, I had a bulging disc issue which left me with intense pain and limited movement. Nick B. was my PT. He was courteous, knowledgeable and all around great! I called on 4/1 and was told I could come on 4/3, or the week of 4/15. I chose 4/3. I spelled my name for her twice since she took it down incorrectly the first time. She called back afterwards saying she hadn't taken my name down. I reminded her I had even corrected her, and she remembered and apologized. Then I got an e-mail confirming 4/5. I called back and she said that was a mistake and I'm scheduled for 4/3. I couldn't find the place on 4/3, and called. She said I'm scheduled on 4/10, which wasn't even available when I first called. I actually never got a confirmation for either day. In each interaction I asked about paperwork she said she would send me. Of course I still haven't gotten it.

What I like most is his integrative approach to treating both my specific pain points as well as the alignment and mobility of my entire body to reduce the risk of recurring issues. I injured a finger while rock climbing, and waited about four months before going to see Dr. Q. I…read morewaited as long as I did because I had previously only ever been dissatisfied with the quality of care that I had received from doctors treating my climbing injuries, Dr. Q changed that. He was able to quickly identify the problem I was having with my finger and begin treating it. Within a couple of sessions, I was able to climb on the finger largely unbothered, and after a few more, the pain subsided soon after. Not only did Dr. Q help in my recovery, but he gave me tools to help myself. In one of our last sessions, he mentioned that my forearms were tight and gave me stretches to loosen them up. I didn't do them, and a couple of weeks later, I started experiencing wrist pain. That pain went away as soon as I started doing the stretches that he had previously given me to do. I really appreciate how he looks at the entire body as a system, and does not just offer bandages to symptoms. I could not recommend him enough to anyone thinking they could use some PT, especially climbers.

STAR PT is THE "1 stop shop for all your body's needs!" 1st…read moresection of this review is "my story"; Skip to the end for other details about STAR PT. K, I'm a bit biased: I, myself, was a PT at STAR for 10 years. But, I'm a patient right now: bicipital tendinitis developed as a result of shoulder impingement/rotator cuff arthropathy. I couldn't use my arm worth squat, constant pain, and intense pain with attempted use. What I had tried/done failed. Grew very discouraged/depressed: Husband asked me when I was going to DO something about it (& stop complaining, lol). Saw my doc: He offered an injection, but I said, "PT first please, and I want to go to STAR." (don't want injections to jeopardize the integrity of my tendons, and STAR PT "only"!). Yes, a PT may need another PT to lift one up, illuminate the path, and lead the way to success! Highlighting Anthony for his awesomeness! I specifically requested Anthony because he was the only one who didn't "know me." I know the other therapists, and they are all excellent. In this case personally, I wanted to be "led" unbiasedly: without any consideration/assumption that I "should know" this or that since the others "know" I'm a PT. Visits 1 & 2 proved to me why you see a PT before injections/surgery: immediate positive impact! I experienced a set-back after the visit 3 - of the exact same nature as to why I was unsuccessful when I tried to rehab myself. Anthony got me past this in ways that I'd never thought of! Week 3: still progressing, and Anthony increased focus on other components of my body to ensure long-term success (YES, core/pelvic/hip/leg exercises for my shoulder problem!). 8th visit/re-evaluation: 80+% better! Able to swim freestyle without problems over 4th of July holidays, pain is SO much less (I can handle intermittent dull aching), I no longer hesitate to use my arm (though it's still quite weak), and I'm now asking questions about working out! Anthony is so awesome: He listens, instructs, educates, set goals, and puts the plan into place. Though (as a PT) I think I could "take over" independently at this point, I'm continuing because I want to return to 100% and want him to keep leading me to ensure success. I started a version of push-ups (um, 7 visits ago, this thought was ludicrous)! Anthony reviewed other activities/gym exercises to try (or avoid), reminded me of needed rest/recovery periods and signs of when to back-off/stop. I don't know if I'll need to update this review when I am 100%, because I'm now feeling like nothing's going to stop me from reaching my goals! & Yes, should I experience any "hiccup" from this point forward, Anthony will bring me beyond it (full confidence), but this is why I'm still going to STAR PT!
