Maddi absolutely loves her time there--she comes home happy, tired, and full of excitement every day. The team truly understands her playful and sweet personality, and it's clear they go above and beyond to make her (and all the dogs) feel loved and cared for. I'm so grateful we have found a place where Maddi not only has fun but is also safe and well looked after. We especially love her occasional add-on "Beauty Days" we can include. The process was was very professional and I was confident Beau was in good hands. They offer short and long walking adventures that include trips to the beach, local rivers or lakes, hikes, and generally way more fun outdoor experiences than I offer my buddy. The staff is incredible. Colby and Racheal are our two primary walkers. They care for my guy, Burrito, like they care for their own dogs, who accompany them on all adventures. They also offer overnight care - we did this in late September for a weekend and were so thrilled with how it went! I recently moved to Maine and contacted Kara's Petcare on the recommendation of my vet. I was so…read moreexcited because it seemed like they would be able to offer daycare for my dogs and some auxiliary training if needed. They also said they did transport to the daycare facility and boarding on occasion. It seemed perfect. I should mention that there are Kara's pet care facilities in Portsmouth, Berwick, and Falmouth. First I was asked to set up a meet and greet with one of their associates at my home so she could meet my pets. It took me many tries to get through many unreturned phone calls, but finally we did set up the meet and greet and that went well. Then I was asked to set up an app and an account before we could actually schedule any dog care. So I set up the app and the account. Then I was asked to drive my dogs to their facility to see if the dogs would "be happy there." So I drove my dogs 25 minutes to the facility. When I got to the facility I was told that they were supposed to stay there for a day assessment and then I should come and pick them up. This was not communicated to me earlier, and I had not budgeted an extra hour of driving back-and-forth. Then they would reschedule the assessment and they would come and pick up my dogs for the day-long assessment. All before any dog care could be scheduled. So, still not on the calendar. So to summarize: you need to go through a long process of scheduling a meet and greet, then you need to have the meet and greet, then you need to sign up for the app, then your dogs have to be assessed to see if they will be happy. I'm just thinking that anyone who's busy enough to need dog care is too busy for this multilayered, multi-step, poorly communicated process where phone calls, texts, and emails are returned only about half the time.

Great experience, my dogs were cared for and healthy. I will return…read more I came to Saddleback late April 2021 to board my 2 Brittanys for a week, referred from a friend. They used to go to my parents but I've accrued to many dogs for them to take them all! I appreciated that the owners also own a veterinary practice, training services, and live on property. The latter is very important to me. I found the pricing to be affordable. They were very friendly and accommodating overall. I made a few changes with no hassle. When I got there, they let me take a tour on demand to see how the kennels were (which I thought were nice). I was able to leave their special toys. I chose not to bring food as they provide it as well if you want. They also provide the bedding. All of the notes I provided via e-mail and verbally were obviously taken into account from feedback when I returned. My dogs were having some problems with each other the week prior and they were careful about keeping them in separate kennels and giving them supervised play time together. 3 people helped me check out and they were all very knowledgeable about the dogs individually which made me feel like they were cared for well. I returned early and called to alert them with an hour notice that I was coming to pick them up sooner. They quickly gave them their baths before I got there...which must've been quite a task to do 2. I feared my boys would have been unhappy because of separation anxiety and my past experiences with other dogs were that they'd come home thinner as a result (not a reflection on the caretakers, just the anxious dog). But they were definitely fed and had eaten their treat toys.
