Was craving teriyaki and just happen to be at the TJ max close by. Decided that this was worth a shot. Walked in and the place in near and clean for the most part. Was greeted right away. They have a large menu and a lot of great options. They took their time making the food which was good. I would always rather wait for food then have it come out immediately after I order it. That's never a good sign. Food was nice and hot and I can tell the sweet and sour chicken was fresh. The spicy chicken on the other hand...was not great. A lot of people seem to enjoy this place but I wasn't too bowled over by it. I got a California roll, Chicken Teriyaki and some soup that they provided and my dining experience just came out as "so, so". I wasn't too impressed with the sushi. It wasn't as fresh or flavorful as it could be. The teriyaki was okay. It was by no means the best that I had but it was fair. I enjoyed most everything including the chicken yakisoba, chicken teriyaki, and the calamari. The one thing I was a little disappointed with was the chicken broccoli. It was really sweet. I mean like, too sweet. I've never had chicken broccoli that was sweet, especially that sweet. Wasn't my favorite. Everything else was good though. My husband got spicy chicken and said it was almost too spicy, which he was surprised about. He enjoyed it though. Also he said the fried rice was really plain, but good oddly enough. Walked in for to go order with my two kids. Usually this is our favorite place but the woman told me they're too busy for them to put sauce on the side instead of ON the chicken. She had to check with the cooks if they'll accept that DIFFICULT request and we've been doing that for years. Then she was sidetracked taking my Order and messed it up. The teriyaki was great! The chicken was perfect, the sauce has the perfect touch of ginger (and I'm not really a ginger fan). I'm a huge fan of the teriyaki and would give that dish 5 stars on its own. This should be more like 4.5 stars as an overall review. The prices are perfect for a quick lunch while shopping in the area. I wasn't a huge fan of the tempura shrimp - it was a little heavy breading-wise and pricey - but my kids liked it. I had more than enough chicken teriyaki to share with two kids and everyone left full. Very kid friendly, too! It doesn't quite have that extra something that I love about my favorite teriyaki place, but it's definitely worth the stop and better value for your money.
