I have to say that I wasn't expecting much when I stopped in at Wok V but I was pleasantly surprised. They were welcoming and took our order right away. We had the combo plates, the spicy chicken teriyaki with an egg roll and the chicken teriyaki with beef teriyaki combos. First, the beef teriyaki was tender and tasty and so was both the chicken and spicy chicken teriyaki. I could tell they had both been cooked fresh. They were very good. The only thing that was unusual was the the fried rice which had onions in it and couldn't they be removed since it was precooked. I picked out the onions since I had already paid for it anlong with some extra teriyaki sauce. The restaurant was a little chilli but the food was nice and hot except for the fried rice. The salad was crispy and fresh but without the usual dressing for a teriyaki restaurant using ranch instead. I won't order the fried rice or salad next time I visit. It was a learning experience for my first trip. I did enjoy the spicy chicken teriyaki very much. The spice reminded me more of Chinese than regular spicy teriyaki but it was good and I will try it again. Overall, it was a good experience and the ADA parking is just around the next to the building and there's a nice smooth entry into the restaurant. I'll try it again when I'm in the area and hungry for teriyaki. read more

Tonight we ordered in for shrimp rice ! It is delicious and definitely plenty to share! If you have a big appetite, this tray of shrimp fried rice will fill you up. Again it is amazing and I had to add my picture of our family's favorite. It was date night and we both craved that rice. This place does quite a job sending out piping hot food! Thanks Wok V for making our date night special with having your shrimp fried rice as an addition to our meal. I want to tell the driver thanks as well for taking good care of the meal in keeping it hot! Amazing place is all I can say. read more

Wok V Teriyaki - Chicken teriyaki & Beef Teriyaki Combo and Chicken Teriyaki and 4 Piece Gyoza Combo - Japanese Near Me - Tacoma, Washington

Ordered from Grubhub. Ordered 3 different meals. Only 2 arrived. One of which was burnt. Do not recommend.

The food was delicious and the owner was so nice and accommodating! You get a lot of food, which is great!

This is my go to for Teriyaki. Friendly service & really good chicken Teriyaki. I also love the ranch dressing that they put over the salad. Never disappoints. read more

I've been trying to find good Chinese food in Tacoma for years. And thanks to a coworker, I've finally found it. After I placed my order Over the phone, they told me 10-15 min. I arrived 13 min later and my food was already bagged and waiting for me. I ordered: 4 egg rolls that were really good, chicken fried rice that was my favorite and came in a huge portion, general chicken that had a nice tang and good crunch, and finally Kung pow chicken that was my least favorite, but still good. I will definitely be competing back to this place in the near future. read more

Love this place! The food is delicious and the portions are huge! My daughter and I split a meal and we still have leftovers to take home. The workers are always so friendly as well! We eat here at least once a week, love it! read more

The service is excellent. The food is definitely delicious too. Chicken and beef is fresh I would definitely eat here again.

Visited today, dine-in instead of take-out like usual. I've never had an issue with togo from here, but both my Cashew Chicken and my guests entree were primarily dark meat chicken that was either old and/or poor quality in general. Protein shouldn't be gamey and unchewable, but yet it was. Very unappetizing but I was hungry... so I left about 15-20 pieces of uneaten chicken behind, and scraped the plate clean of rice & sauce. Not worth $30.00 It'll be a minute before I try here again. read more

Excellent customers I took our 20 cheerleaders before our game and she was so sweet and accommodating! Good food and amazing service!

Good, fast fare. Nothing overly pretentious or pricey. But it does offer many simple things done well.

Had the chicken teriyaki and short ribs and egg rolls. Your basic teriyaki sauce--sugar, soy sauce and water. Didn't taste any rice wine vinegar or acid or sesame. Definitely no aromatics. lacked flavor. Egg Roll was definitely a Frozen out of a plastic bag Food Service type roll. Will pass for a lot people. All good, but probably won't be ordering here again. read more

Customer service was terrible. girl at front counter gave immediate attitude for no reason and this has been the second time. food is great so i recommend ordering online. read more

Food itself is alright, but the portion is so small for the price I pay. I didn't want to drive to the Teriyaki place where I usually go so I decided to try this one. 16$ bucks for a small portion, are you kiddin? I pay 14$ for the portion double of size of what I got in Wok Teriyaki. read more

Hands down THE BEST CHICKEN YAKISOBA EVER!!!! My husband got their kung pao chicken and said it was AMAZING as well! Egg rolls are on point too! We were in the area meeting with some friends to pick up our kids and decided to stop in. Best decision! Anytime I'm in the mood for yakisoba we will drive out here from Lake Tapps, that's how good it was! The gal in the front was very pleasant and even brought our food out to our car when it was done. Top of the line service and food, we couldn't have asked for better!! read more

I started coming here totally out of convenience... they are close to my house!!! But now I'm hooked. Daily special is always great... and anything with tofu never fails to satisfy. I also consider myself an eggroll snob (having moved from Salt Lake City, where they are all battered before frying - ugh!!) and think this place has some of the best!! It always seems a little pricey to me... but the portions are huge, and I always get greedy when I order. In reality, you can eat well and quite reasonably. They have a rewards program... but I used an older number- and we can't seem to switch over to the new one- But I think that's more on me Stop in !! You'll be glad you did read more

Had a great experience at Wok V for dinner tonight. Didn't expect much for just one of another thousand or so Teriyaki joints around here but Wok V was a tasteful change from the regular norm. The portion sizes were just right, the flavor tasted scratch kitchen made and the service was extremely polite and attentive. What I liked most: the chicken yokisoba was excellent What I liked least: the yelp rating; felt it should be much better than a 3. read more

Hands down, the best teriyaki chicken & yakisoba!! Service is fantastic & quick! Prices are fair, good portions!

My husband has been here in the past but it was the first time I have. I am quite mad at him for keeping this place from me! We came around lunch time and each had a daily special. I had the orange chicken, the Wednesday special, and my husband opted for the sesame chicken. First off, I was amazed at how much food we received. Each meal came with the entree, fried rice, salad, three gyoza and an egg roll. The orange chicken, egg roll and gyoza were really good but, for me, the highlight was the fried rice. It was sooooo good! I would come back specifically for the rice and can't wait to try the other entrees! read more

They got some top tier Mongolian beef. Them portion sizes ain't it tho but the food's great

When I moved to a new area of town and ate from this place it became apparent fairly quickly that I'd found my default teriyaki option. I can't say that EVERYTHING here has been perfect in my handful of visits, but almost everything has been wonderful. read more

On Jan 15th 2024 I arrived at Wok V Teriyaki to pick up an online order. I approached the counter and let the women behind the counter know I there for an online order but we were early. She checked her tablet and told me there was no order. She then told me I do not have a Doordash order to which I told her I was not a Doordash driver. I then showed her my online order and that the online site says I can do store pick up.Then she says no she does not even do that its only through Doordash. Why its an option if they do not offer that service then does not make sense. I said okay and went to table to just make a order while I was there. As myself and my son are sitting at the table the women inexplicably asks me if I was just in and tricked their employee in to giving me a refund. I look up perplexed and told her No, I have never been in here before. She squinted at me and said are you sure. To which I said yes, I have never been in here. At that point I decided to leave. This women just assumed that my mere presence and blackness must mean I am some sort of scammer trying to get over on her. I will never spend money at the business and strongly suggest that if you are a Black person you do not spend your money here. In the future do not make assumptions about people. read more

The rice was good and the teriyaki was good but my katsu was definitely not what I've had before.

Called an order for teriyaki and gyoza combo. Chicken wasn't over cooked and the teriyaki sauce they use is what I like; rich but not too tangy and over drenched. Gyoza was good. As some have reviewed, the portions are not huge but not small either. Kinda surprised that they only put two scoops of rice, as I like to eat a lot of rice to counter the teriyaki sauce; just my preference. A lot of parking and the restaurant looked better then what I typically see with teriyaki establishments. They also offer virtual punch cards. For a new person eating here, you have the potential to earn 6 punches off the bat. You just need to give up your name, phone #, email, and blood sample....JK on the DNA Looks like with 10 stars you get 7.50 off you next purchase. read more

Tacoma doesn't have a ton of great Sushi, but this is definitely one of the gems. I haven't even tried the teriyaki here yet because there are so many different rolls to choose from that are delicious. The outside of the building doesn't look like much, as it is hidden on the end of a little strip mall, but the decor and furniture inside are comfortable and clean, and the sushi bar is not only fantastic, its' one of the few I know of that plays Mariners' games almost exclusively. Recommendations: Their Rainbow Roll is a combination of two kinds of tuna, salmon, shrimp, and whitefish. Gorgeous presentation and everything is always fresh. I know that seems like a necessity for sushi but it seems like only about fifty percent of the time I have sushi is the avocado actually that perfect yellow and green and I really appreciate it when a restaurant takes pride in the whole roll, not just the fish. The dragon roll is great as well, and needs no explanation. One of my friends recommends the spicy teriyaki chicken with persistence as well, and i definitely trust his judgement as I believe he's tried spicy teriyaki chicken in about 60 restaurants across three states. I posted the dirty bowl and plates. I mentioned to the owner about my concern and I was told the the top part of the bowl is clean. Those are bowls that they stack together. That was the answer I got from the OWNER without any sense of responsibility to do anything else. Staff really needs education food handling. The food is mediocre. I'm upset I paid to eat in dirty bowls. read more

Ordered pickup, was ready promptly and the service was good. Went in on Black Friday around 6:45 and it wasn't very busy. Got chicken teriyaki with a side of gyoza. Gyoza was extremely average, sauce was good. The salad dressing was bland, not sweet like most the side salads you get with teriyaki. The spicy teriyaki was satisfying but average. Would have again, but all in all pretty average. read more

I had to give it 1 star to write a comment. There is nothing worse than going somewhere to eat and feeling like you got ripped off. Small portions and dry food. I wouldn't be surprised if they pre cooked their food to make it faster service. Will not go back here again. There was one person in there eating so that should have been a warning sign. What a waste of money! read more

I absolutely adore this place! I am not a huge teriyaki fan and I like that there are many other choices on the menu. It ranges from Chinese to Japanese....they now have some sushi options too. I usually go for lunch and order the spicy chicken and tempura combo. It is very tasty and plentiful....all for around $8. They also serve egg drop soup with all meals. I don't know if she is the owner, but the lady who works there is SO friendly and always remembers you. Very good customer service here unlike other teriyaki joints. read more
