I love Wok & Roll, I love going and getting take out from them. I normally get General Tso's, which is To Die for. Good amount of heat and amazing flavor and moist chicken. Also their spring rolls are top tier, if I could eat them everyday I would 1000% eat them. The service is always super fast, even when you come with rather large orders; or even lunch rushes. The restaurant look and FEELS like a place that is going to give you a mountain of food for a super affordable price, and they most certainly will. I normally get three meals out of my visits. This was a take-out order. I rated them a 4-star for Northern Kentucky - but they would be a 3-star nationally. Fried Dumplings - hand made! Casing tasted a bit like a pancake, and the dipping sauce was a bit strong, but overall the appetizer was good. Crab Rangoons - nice classic cream cheese and imitation crab. Casing was thin, but could have been cooked a tad bit more. Overall pretty good. Shrimp and Garlic Sauce - sauce was flavorful, but was a bit clumpy/congealed. Shrimp were large. Overall good. Singapore Mei Fun - all the right ingredients, but comes across a bit bland. I added chili sauce at home and it perked up. Overall fair. I will order again. read more

For a carry out Chinese place, they got it spot on. We ordered the Kung Pao chicken and shrimp, sesame chicken, and crab rangoons. The sesame chicken was part of a special combination that also came with an egg roll. The quality of the chicken and shrimp was good, which I feel like is what makes a difference between a good take out place and a bad one. My favorite aspect of the meal was the veggies that were cooked with the Kung Pao chicken- it had baby corn, snow peas, mushrooms, bell peppers as well as peanuts. Both the crab rangoons and the egg roll were fried to crispy perfection. I recommend giving Wok and Roll a try the next time you're craving Chinese! read more

Ok, I'll be honest. I'm a Chinese food snob. Coming from the NJ/NY area, I have ridiculously high Chinese food standards. It's my favorite indulgence and if my favorite dishes aren't up to my level of perfection, I'll never go back. We moved to NKY and this was this first place we tried. A little out of the way, but we thought the name was hilarious so we gave it a go. I. Was. Hooked. Been here now for over a year and haven't ventured out to try anywhere else. No need to! I usually get the shrimp and broccoli and ask them to make it spicy for me and it's perfection every time. Found out on my last Chinese food run that they are from NY as well. Makes sense! Had family come up from Florida (also originally from NY/NJ) and they said it was the first time they had real Chinese food in the two years they had been living down there. They were in heaven! My husband works in the area near Wok & Roll, and decided to stop in and check it out. He was pleasantly surprised, and has gotten soup, an egg roll, ect. a few times for a snack. He said service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant was clean. I finally told him to grab some carryout for supper. And I'm glad I did! I ordered the beef with garlic sauce dinner combo, which included pork fried rice and a pork egg roll. For $7.75, the portion was huge! So much so that I ate half for supper and half for lunch the next day. I opened my carryout container and had to transfer it to a huge dinner plate because, it was so packed full. It had giant, juicy pieces of perfectly cooked beef, and was loaded with a variety of vegetables. The sauce was rich, and had just enough spice to let you know it was there but, not at all overpowering. The egg roll was crisp on the outside, and had a perfect ratio of pork to vegetables on the inside. We got teriyaki beef on a stick for our 3 year old. It was 4 large pieces of beef, awesomely marinated, and cooked so that they were tender and juicy. My husband ordered a large hot & sour soup. Which, for $3.75, is an awesome deal! It was probably a quart size container, that could easily feed 2-3 adults. The broth was super flavorful and hearty, and loaded with vegetables. For his entree, he got the pork pak Thai. It had pieces of roasted pork, with diced vegetables, and Thai noodles (similar to rice noodles) cooked in a spicy fish sauce blend. It was so packed full, that when he went to stir it up in the container, it actually doubled in size! He ate on it for 20 minutes until he finally quit, and he still has enough for 3 more meals. Overall, Wok & Roll is definitely a good place to go if you're in and around the area. You WILL get the bang for your buck! read more

This Chinese, mostly take-away and delivery restaurant has been here for many years. It serves the usual American Chinese fare but it's always tasty, fresh, and quick. It's become one of my favorite "go to" restaurants on many occasions. I particularly enjoy their economical lunch specials which provides enough food for lunch for 2 days. This was my first order for Wok and Roll and it will not be the last. I was sceptical because it is new to my area and some of the other local Chinese joints have been proving to be less than par. We chose delivery on a Saturday night. They quoted 30 minutes, but it arrived sooner than that. Ordered crab Rangoon, it was ok , a bit chintzy. Ordered the won ton soup, very good, full of very stuffed won tons! Next the Singapore Mei Fun, also very good, full of pork, chicken, shrimp and veggies. It wasn't as spicy as I like but I would order it again. Lastly we ordered the General Tso's Chicken, crispy still and sauce was pretty good too, again I would have wanted it spicier I guess I will ask if they would kick it up on the heat!
