For a while I have been meaning to try one of their facials, and did so yesterday and l-o-v-e-d it. This was a Guinot Luxury Facial, by Laura at the Beloit location. It was an hour of total relaxation and luxury. I kept thinking, "I´m in Beloit but I feel like I made a trip to Europe!" because the scent, the feel of this facial, and the Guinot brand of products used (France) reminded me of facials I have had there. The very fine exfoliation beads were wonderful, and another plus: the oils used did not make my face break out. This facial also included neck and shoulder massage, hand massage with Aveda ream, and terrific foot massage also with Aveda lotion. At the end of the service is a scalp massage. The facial room has a warm, cozy atmosphere woth a warmed table and knee lift which makes your back feel great while lying there. I felt that the price for this facial was fantastic, and will definitely do it again. I've been going to WM Day Spa for the past couple of years for various services and love the serene setting overlooking the river, the choice of products they use in their services, and the lines of product sold in the spa store; I also love everyone who works there. Since they reopened post-lockdown, I am very happy with all of their Covid safety protocols. read more

0/10 do not recommend for your wedding hair/makeup!! My wedding was September 3, 2022. It has taken me so long to post this because of how completely furious this experience makes me. I had been going here for a few years for my haircuts and loved this place. I will not be going back anymore, as I do not want to give WM any more of my business. To start, I was double booked at the Beloit location. She told me she would "see what she could do." She offered me to switch to the Rockford location. I ended up settling. That was definitely the first RED FLAG. Then as I was doing the wedding services, I realized it was going to be way over the advertised $500 for the "package." When I inquired about it, the wedding coordinator said the price varies depending on who does the work, and also a tip is automatically added on. The wedding package seems like a scam to get more money. They really need to note $500 or more on their website and make sure customers realize this. Also, my first trial run for hair and makeup was pretty much a disaster. I had planned my hair down or partial down. I showed her what I was wanting. It didn't even look slightly like the picture and it was falling out while I was still sitting in the chair. I left feeling like I needed to find a new place. All of these red flags and I should have listened. I talked to the wedding coordinator and she let me have a second trial. Still wasn't a huge fan of the style but the stylist assured me it would look better on the wedding day. I didn't think I could find anything else so last minute so I decided to trust her. I had such a bad feeling about it, though. Now fast forward to my wedding day. The day I've looked forward to since I was young. They did okay work, but they were not mindful of the time, which made my wedding 45 minutes late. I was supposed to start my hair at 10:30. I showed up at 9:30 as my 3 bridesmaids started at 8:45 and I wanted to be there with them for most of it. When I showed up, they were just starting on their hair or makeup. My bridesmaids were not late, as I confirmed with them and with the stylists themselves. It should have started at 8:45 as scheduled. My hair was supposed to start at 10:45 but it didn't start until noon. Then my makeup was supposed to follow at 12:15 but didn't start until 2. By then, I was sitting around waiting for makeup that was supposed to be COMPLETE by 1/1:30. My bridesmaids had to leave to start getting ready so they could be ready to help me. I didn't get to the ceremony location until around 3:10... THE CEREMONY STARTED AT 3. Schedules are made for a reason and there is no wiggle room when it comes to a wedding. I didn't walk down the aisle until 45 mins to an hour late. I had a corset dress and it wasn't tied correctly, but I had to deal with it as everyone was waiting on me. I do not like the way I looked on my wedding day because of this. Because we were running so late: - Pictures ended up being rushed, and didn't get all that was wanted. - No sunset photos. - We paid for a specific time frame for our reception location. We were over an hour late. The reception place was clearly frustrated and we ended up wasting $450 on the extra venue time we paid for but didn't use. - Food was sitting for a while waiting for us resulting in dry meat. - Guests waited forever, people had to leave early due to children, so didn't end up getting to eat. - Didn't get to play our planned wedding games. - Groom had extra unnecessary stress waiting for me and so did our son. - Created extra stress for minister, pianist (extra hour of music), and church helpers that had to stay late to clean up, etc. Now fast forward to after our wedding. I receive an email asking for a review. I gave an honest review mentioning the things stated above. I get a call from the wedding coordinator who seemed to listen. Then she offered a free pedi. I asked for a complimentary one for my husband as well and she told me no as he was not the one affected, I was. ALL of the crap WE went through and we get offered a single free pedi, and get told that my husband wasn't affected by all of their crap. I booked the pedi as I was in shock, but ended up canceling it. Your wedding is supposed to something you look back on with amazing memories and happy thoughts, but this experience really messed things up for us. It completely snowballed one thing after the other and we were left with a disaster. read more

Unbelievable. They cancelled my appointment the actual DAY I had it. I waited an entire MONTH for this appointment and they even called just two days prior to confirm it! Why would you cancel after confirming it?? No percentage off for the inconvenience or anything- I even got time off work for this appt which is hard to do. The toner they put in after bleaching was gone after 2 or 3 washes. The place is a waste of money. read more

The actual massage was great! The waiting area left room for desire. Not cozy at all like the Rockford location. It is actually right by the area they do nails so if they are giving nail service you will have that smell or noise going on in the area while trying to relax before the massage. I personally prefer the Rockford location over this one. Rockford offers a shower room, nice cozy relaxing room while you wait, no outside noise heard in room. read more

Rude, horrible and disgusting manager! Sat August 22nd My partner and I had an appointment that had been set for over two weeks. We have been going to this location since it opened to support local business. Not to mention the amount of referrals I give out when attending business functions in town as I am a business owner myself. Saturday we arrived with no attendant at the front counter. We stood there for a while, so I ran into the restroom and noticed someone eating their lunch in the break room. She then must have come out to the counter while I was in the restroom to speak to my partner. When I arrived back at the counter, the manager had come out to tell my partner that she would not take us because we were 6-8 min late for the appointment. She said she would do nothing about it. EVERY appointment we have had at the Beloit location we have had to wait in the waiting room 10-15 min, but that is ok because we're only paying customers. (our time is worth nothing apparently) We are definitely not in the habit of arriving late to appointments, but I do not feel 6-8 minutes is a huge chunk of time in a situation like this. We were the only two in the waiting room---there was no one else waiting for their appointment. WM Day spa obviously does not want or need our patronage. There is no way I would ever go back to this place. I placed a call to the owner Howard Morris with no return call. We will go back to A Glo Spa and Salon in Janesville from now on. read more

I wish I could give them a minus One Star rating but unfortunately it is not possible. So my partner and I had two Spa Pedicure appointments and while we were driving came into some traffic and got to the Salon about 8 1/2 minutes late from the scheduled appointment time. When we arrived, there was nobody at the reception area but a short while thereafter someone (one of the associates I believe) came from a little room on the back, greeted us and checked us in, not even ten seconds later another "young" woman came from the back and said that because we were "LATE" she couldn't accept our pre-scheduled appointment. Well, here's the problem with that, we have been gotten pedicures at least four (4) times before since they opened and each time we wait in a little waiting room for at least 15 minutes, which I was more than happy to point out, however; the one time we ran UNDER 10 minutes late we were just simply rejected from being serviced. While we both have been at ACTUAL luxury spas all across the country where service, attention to detail and common manners are a staple and most certainly a hallmark within their corporate credo, I have never been refused of a service ANYWHERE for being 8-9 minutes late and what was most concerning to me was that little miss congeniality who represented herself as the Assistant Manager had a permanent SMIRK on her face during the entire time that she (in what we felt was nothing more than a grave case of discrimination) rejected and cancelled our appointment all the while there was not a single other client inside. In today's word when people have choices I would like to think that #1 bigotry is certainly not allowed and #2 downright bad customer service from someone who represents themselves as part of management, should be scrutinized. It is clearly unacceptable that in today's world someone with an 8th grade education (or lack of thereof, which to me is more of the case in today's example) poses as the front face of ANY business. After we were denied service we asked to speak with the actual manager and again, little Miss Congeniality very triumphant informed us that nobody was above HER and that we could call the owner if we wanted. We are both business owners in town, if ANY of our employees would dare to treat a customer of ours in such a disrespectful manner, we would certainly make sure that it would be their last. Not really sure if this is the way in which business is conducted on a normal basis at this establishment, but since we are able to exercise our freedom of choice, it is highly unlikely that we would EVER set foot at that salon and needless to say, we will MAKE SURE that all of our friends in town and those who come and visit from out of town with actual money to spend, are aware that unfortunately we cannot support this particular local business on the bases of what we feel was nothing more than a terrible and disgusting case of discrimination and hatred towards hardworking successful men. Mr. Morris (the owner) was contacted over the phone but we are yet to hear from him. Shame, shame, because despite of the fact that each time we go there, there is new staff and we can almost never get the same girl to do our pedicures, we had a genuine intention to like and support this local business. A word of advise for little Ms. Congeniality: Just because you have a "pretentious" tone while answering the phone doesn't make you anything else other than what your job really is, and that my friend is nothing more than being an order taker at a beauty salon; so get down from your high horse and accept the harsh reality that you are being employed to SERVE people like us, with disposable money to throw away on foot rubs. read more

Originally I was not going to review WM Day Spa and Salon because based on other reviews I have read about their Rockford, IL location the owners and management seem to give zero f**ks about if their clients have a good experience or not. I wrote the email Sunday morning and today is Tuesday. No one at their place of business has bothered to call me to apologize or inquire anything. Excellent way to do business! Maybe the owner, Howard, will respond here since he does that sort of thing. After my service I received a survey in my email from WM Day Spa & Salon Beloit. Initially I deleted it but the next morning I decided to be as diplomatic as possible and write a detailed account of my experience. When writing that email I had not yet even bothered to style my hair so I was unaware of how insanely screwed up the cut was as well. Here is the email I sent with unimportant parts removed due to Yelp character limits. I was nice. I took the blame on my end because I am a reasonable and honest human being. Too Bad folks at the WM Day Spa Company are not the same way. I am removing the name of the stylist to protect her identity. "D has been doing my hair since July 2014. She repaired my hair after a bad haircut and I was very thankful. She also did some great highlights on me. I continued to see D and have enjoyed my visits with her. On my visit in September she was cut my hair and after I got home I realized I had a pretty decent gap on one side. I decided that these things just happen and I will work with it through a small grow out period. I delayed my next appointment to 6 weeks to do so. At my next appointment on Friday, November 14th I was ready for my "partial highlight and cut". During our consult time I told D what I saw for my haircut because I am getting married on Friday November 21st. Nothing radical since it was getting colder outside but a nice trim. My head piece for my wedding is a headband with caging so length for a style is not an issue (I have short hair anyway). D asked me about color. Because she had always done a wonderful job in the past and could be trusted to make good decisions I foolishly responded with something to the effect of "I don't know - what do you want to do?" This is where things went all wrong. I am willing to accept the blame although I would have NEVER expected what happened to me to have happened. I have one or maybe two photos of what my hair looked like after D effectively ruined my hair based on my trust of her previous work. Operating on what her description was of what she was going to do to my hair with color I would have never expected the outcome to be so...edgy? Shocking? Extremely inappropriate to do to someone's head a week before they are to get married even if I had full reign? Yes. All of these things. I even smiled when I left and told her I liked it because I did not want to hurt her feelings and I did not want to have a complete breakdown in WM. The breakdown happened when I was at a radio remote broadcast visiting friends of mine who work at a local radio station and they were appalled. I had another one when I got home and my fiance saw what happened....and another one when my daughter and a few others asked me about my spirited and colorful new 'do. The lower half of the left side of my hair was dark brown. The top of that side was my normal highlights but with a heavier brown tone. The back of my hair was similar. The right side of my head and front of my hair were mortifying. My bangs and one set of my sideburns and down the side of my head were bleach blonde - a BAD bleach blonde like I had attacked my hair with a bottle of peroxide or Sun-In. The top of my head was a solid brown dot like a large polka dot on my head. It looked like I had 4 different color processes done to my head. Had there been a mirror at the color station this would have never happened because as soon as I saw what was going on I would have stopped her. The top of my hair ended up in a pink tone and when I looked in a mirror I almost died because one set of my sideburns and side of my head was dark brown and the other was cheap hooker blonde. My first sign that something was amiss was when D kept rinsing and rinsing and then told me she needed to tone me and after 5 minutes or so she returned and, for lack of a better term, toned the shit out of my hair. It still turned out orange blonde." I ended up having the botched job repaired and the cut repaired as well but at a different salon. Based on reviews I have read about WM, what others around the area say about WM, and my experience - do yourself a favor and find a real local owner involved salon with skilled staff - not this place. It is the WalMart of the day spa and salon world. read more

I came in from Orange County CA, not being a novice to the spa experience, I left this spa in sheer relaxed bliss. I have to admit I was very apprehensive about a spa in Beloit WI and for all my unspoken thoughts, I apologize profusely to the staff. Best spa experience I've had yet. I really love this place! I've been getting my hair done here since going to college. Everyone I've met has been extremely nice and talented. The cost can be a bit steep but it is not unreasonable compared to other salons and the ambience is so beautiful. I usually get nervous before haircuts, but right when you walk in, they ask if you want tea or coffee and you get to sit in front of the fireplace and relax. I would definitely recommend going here! read more

I have been there a couple times. It is a very nice dayspa. When you walk in there is spa music going. However, when you get to the waiting spa area you hear county music playing from the hair salon area. It would be nice to hear spa music while you are waiting for your relaxing spa appointment. The ladies that work there seem nice. The last apt I had there was a bikini wax. She did a very nice job. However, she had to keep going out of the room for supplies. It was fine but a little weird because....I was half naked with the door opening and closing several times. She did say she was going to make sure next time everything would be set! I would recommend WM Dayspa! It's a nice spa to have in town! read more
