The shop is located in a back alley, if you find the Doylestown Brewing Company it's right around the corner. They are not a large shop, but it is stocked from floor to ceiling. Another different item is a large amount of collected comic sets. The selection of collectables and board games is also good, with Magic: The Gathering cards also stocked. Overall, a great small comic shop that could be easily missed by many, like we did, unless they stop in.

For modern bookstores (in our post-Amazon world), it's an enormous independent bookstore: well-stocked, expansive, well laid out (not crowded). They also had an area of goods and tchotchkes, making it a great shop for buying gifts. If you need a book (or want a book - since you can never have too many?) and are in the area, I highly recommend Doylestown Bookshop for a browse.

ZERO STARS!! Extremely disappointing experience at The Mole Hole in Peddler's Village…read more I came in with my family, including my daughters, and admired the store's many wind chimes. As a consumer, I love the sound of wind chimes, and yes, I tapped a few while walking through with my girls (there were no signs anywhere saying not to). Instead of kindly addressing it, the man who said he was the owner came up and told me to stop, repeatedly ordered me to leave the store, and went so far as to say I "couldn't afford" the wind chimes anyway. I found this insulting, unprofessional, and frankly discriminatory. I could afford the items (I even bought a $35 bracelet despite the treatment), but no customer should be spoken to that way, especially in front of their children. When I asked the front desk to get the manager, the staff refused. Peddler's Village is supposed to be a family friendly place, but this was one of the rudest encounters I've had as a paying customer. If management cares about customer serviced and inclusivity, they need to seriously rethink how people are treated here. I was humiliated... told to leave immediately and that I "couldn't afford" anything in the store. Disrespectful, condescending, and felt outright discriminatory because YES IM HISPANIC! Families beware: spend your money elsewhere!

Looking for an inexpensive thumb ring for yucks. They found or ate ones, ones too small, then finally one for neatly $70.00, beyond my lark price range. Finally when we exhausted all efforts, they referred me to Anna on Union near Coryelle and I looked all over that area and gave up - ducking into the 5 & 10 and guess who was there?! Bohemian and kind Anna who couldn't help either - lost interest when it was apparent I wouldn't order something at a high price to be resized. The. i walked across the river using the bridge of course and wandered j to a more touristy store. You guileless shop clerk with no interest to upsell me or zeal to get me to buy something casually pointed me to an area of rings and wished me cheery good luck! Bingo! I bought a bushel of reasonably priced rings and couldn't be more relieved at completing my silly pointless quest. I've been frequenting both towns as a patron for decades and i'm surprised how I always associate kindly persistence to sell me items at the cost of my getting what I want versus just laid back helpfulness with no agenda. Great selection of toys, comics (current issues line the walls, lots of back issues, and lots of wall books for serious collectors), a lot of trades (which are really well organized which is something that I think a lot of comic shops don't do nearly as well as they should - these guys do!). They also have a nice selection of Hot Toys and statues, as well as tshirts. What puts this place over the edge? The staff. This is not your stereotypical comic shop staff (which, to be fair, is not as common nowadays as when I was a kid) where the clerks would look at anyone who came in that wasn't a regular as an outsider to be shunned. These guys make all feel welcome, even those who know nothing of these nerdly delights. I've seen them help moms search for something for their kids as intently as regulars looking for a new book to try. The best thing I can relay, though, is a time I went with my son - we walked in, were greeted as we did, and went about perusing the store. As we walked around, one of the clerks came over to us, asked if it was ok to give something to my son, and gave him a little plastic Flash ring. It wasn't fancy but it was a touching gesture that made me and my son feel welcome, even moreso than we already had. So if you're looking for a comic book shop, this is your place!
