Small selection of clothing without many sizes (almost no plus sizes - was looking for a gift). Was informed that there was an increase in prices because of an Jrish tax. I've been to other Irish stores - most memorably Donegal Square in Bethlehem. If you're familiar, this store is a fraction of the size but has some more unique pieces. Donegal Square has more variety and options. Purchased a hat for $21 as a gift, a magnet for $5 and some candy. Pretty standard pricing. Nothing extreme or unreasonable. Most of the sweatshirts were $40-$50. Didn't look at any specialty items like sweaters or capes. Unfortunately the hat I got as a gift doesn't work for the recipient so I'll be calling about their return policy since their online website only states online return policy. I'll probably keep the hat myself since it would cost more for me to drive back there since I'm in Jersey. Reason for 4 stars is mostly due to the experience I had I came at 4:30 on a Sunday night. The store closes at 5. The lady working really didn't want me there and didn't say anything to me until I approached her after a few minutes needing help. We started chatting but she was very wishy washy not giving me clear answers, telling me that I can call back when the manager is there. It was probably a one off thing and she was just tired from the night but it rubbed me the wrong way.

Man, who doesn't love a cute little village filled with shops? I won't hide that I'm proud to say I…read moredo. I mean, a place like Peddler's Village has something for everyone and it's definitely worth a return trip, which is just what my wife and I did after having visited a few years prior. You see, we were spending a few nights in nearby New Hope/Lambertville which makes a trip to PV almost a must as it's only about 10 minutes from those areas. Now if you haven't been here before, think of it like an Old Mistick Village/Kitchen Kettle Village/Smithville Shoppes kind of area (told you I like villages). What's great here though are plenty of shops you won't find elsewhere, at least not in those aforementioned shop areas. There's some crossover, but mostly the options here are unique and honestly pretty vast. What's really nice about Peddler's is the setup as the stores encompass a few greenery areas, but there are also some along a few streets and a whole other small shop area on the other side of one of these roads. Despite having been here prior, my wife and I still spent several hours going in and out of many stores and finding plenty of goodies. Those goods varied from house decor, to spices, to oils and honeys, to a few small gifts for family. Even better than the shopping might be the food and drink options. You'll find a few places to actually sit and have a meal as well as a winery (with some great vino), a brewery (shout out to Free Will!), a coffee/drink shop (Mama Hawks FTW), and a lot more. On top of that, Peddler's does a lot of seasonal celebrations of sorts. Our first trip was in the Fall and so the area was lined with tons of different scarecrows all made by different people. This recent trip was right after Easter and there was "artwork" created using Peeps marshmallows. Both referenced plenty of pop culture favorites and it was a nice added bonus to the experience. Overall, Peddler's Village is a gem of a spot. You're bound to find something worthy of buying and you'll definitely be here longer than you probably intended. Only downside is the place can get crowded, especially on a nice weekend day, so if you can find the time to head over early or during the week, make it happen. I know I'll be back again at some point whenever we find ourselves not too far away, because you can't go wrong with a cute village, am I right?

You can walk along small stone paths with flowers and charming buildings all around. The shops sell many different things like handmade crafts, gifts, art, and specialty foods. It's a nice place to browse and maybe find a unique gift. If you have kids with you, they'll enjoy it too. There's a carousel and some fun games for them, so parents can relax while kids stay entertained. There are also good food options. You can get things like seafood, pizza, and other fresh local dishes. And of course, don't miss dessert--there's homemade ice cream and tasty pastries from the bakeries. If you go during special events like seasonal festivals or craft fairs, it's even more fun. Local artists show their work and there's extra entertainment, which makes the place feel lively and festive. And don't forget, this place becomes special during Christmas time....

It was really nice to see a store like this amongst all the bric a brac shops in Peddler's Village…read more It is located right across the street from the main part of PV, and its low key signage almost didn't beckon us to enter. Once inside my first impression was Wow, where are all the chimes, figurines and other assorted dust catchers that are common in most other stores here. I was also surprised that you could walk around without worry of knocking over abundant displays of gaudy knick knacks. Instead you will see what in my uncouth opinion were very cool accent items. Not that I have any kind of decorating savvy, but the right person could pick out some decorations that would go well in modern or semi modern rooms. A place like this could even inspire a slob like me to redo a room or two in a way that hipster friends would be proud. I think my favorite items were the various vases and containers that held flowering bulbs or dried flowers. There were also some cool long glass things that little interesting votives(?)or figurines could go on. I guess that these could be changed out according to the season. As another.review correctly reported, you can get custom upholstery done here, and the couches on display were fluffy and tasteful too. While you are here browse the perimeters for clearance items. I actually almost bought a few things, but realized that I need to do so much more in my house before adding decorator touches. I actually think I will return again with an advisor in tow, when I finally get my mess less messy.

What an incredible place to visit! We visited this shop while on a day trip to Peddler's Village,…read moreand it made for an incredible experience! First, and foremost, the staff here are wonderful. They are patient, kind, attentive, and answered our questions (trust me, we had A LOT of them). The shop specializes in high quality German items, such as steins, wooden goods, gifts, Christmas ornaments, hand-made items, German meats and treats, and most importantly: hand-made cuckoo clocks. This is what we were here for. We picked up some gifts for loved ones before visiting their VAST cuckoo clock collection. The staff gave us demonstrations of each, pointing out the features and differences. They were truly incredible works of hand-made art. Needless to say, we purchased our very own hand-made clock and were absolutely thrilled to own it. Are prices a little steep? I guess some would say so. However, I'd remind them of the immense quality of everything in this shop, most of it being hand-made. Such types of items rarely exist anymore, and we were pleased to support such a business. Check it out! You won't be sorry!

'Black Forest Clocks'? if you say so but I think of it as 'the German store' in Peddlers Village…read moreand I think of it fondly. It is near one of the main entrances and is easy to reach. Inside yes it does sell coo-coo clocks and so much more. German snacks and candies, knick knacks like plush toys dressed in traditional clothing. books on German and Austrian cooking, Music CD's and books to teach German. All at pretty reasonable prices. Prices range from beer steins costing hundreds to children's books for under $5. Beyond the usual chips and candies seen in many similarly Irish themed places, there are also sausages. The Germans are famous for what Bourdaine called 'meat in tube form' and in a fridge on the 2nd floor can be found many splendid examples. So why only 4 stars? two things. 1) with all they offer I'd like to see some of the more traditional clothes on sale as well. I don't mean a sweatshirt with the German flag but things like Lederhosen. 2) and this is more serious accessibility. The store has stairs. You can get into the ground floor just fine but about half the store is either up or down a half flight of stairs to a loft and a cellar and if you have mobility issues, you are SOL. Over all thought it is great place to have a look round and if you're looking to expand or embrace your Germaness, this is the spot to start.
