The housewares section is a bit smaller but I do enjoy the front "Candleshop". There's a decent amount of parking and there are tons of employees working here. My friend and I went the other day on a weekday morning and there were at least 5 women working - there may have been more. The staff is nice and I'll be sure to frequent this location when I'm in need of any speciality gifts! I especially love visiting during the holidays as their displays are always brilliant!

I have had a mixed experience with Budget Blinds... I purchased my blinds (9 motorized and about 10…read moreothers) about 4 years ago, and they worked fine until one of them broke recently. They fortunately have a great return/exchange policy; however, the new products that are being installed lack the quality of the products that were used just a handful of years ago. Budget Blinds now needs to come back for a fourth time in a matter of two months to replace yet another broken motorized blind. The new blinds they sell are not compatible with the old blinds from just a handful of years ago, so the entire system for operating the blinds needs to be replaced, including: - 3 new remotes that only work for specific rooms instead of having one universal remote - a new hub that is extremely difficult to connect to Alexa and unreliable once connected - a new app that does not work nearly as well as the prior app. It's massively inconvenient, and I have lost a significant amount of time with repairmen at my house. To be clear, the service from Budget Blinds is great, but their product is terrible. I never would have bought if I knew the blinds were going to break this frequently. While the local branch may not have control of the products that they put in people's homes, they are ultimately responsible for doing what is right for the consumer. After four instances of broken blinds, I asked the local office to switch out all of my blinds from electric to normal, since those hopefully have a lower chance of breaking. They offered to switch out my electric blinds and credit me a very small amount of money on a per-blind basis. I was planning on using Budget Blinds for my new home, however I'm having a really hard time getting there at this point because the product is so incredibly bad. No amount of service can make up for a bad product, as it's massively inconvenient and is now costing me time to have these blinds in my house (which is a ridiculous thing to say, I'm aware, but it's the truth).

She also went with me to HomeGoods to pick out beautiful decor for the mantle/fireplace area, coffee table, and counter top inside the room and large, anchor pieces with candles for around the outside furniture and porch of the room. It was amazing to see her choose the pieces in the store and then place them in such a coordinated way in my room! I was thrilled with the end product. I will definitely use Kate again when it is time to redecorate my home and recommend her frequently to my family and friends for her communication and dedication to her clients!

In the end she doesn't follow through with her work to completion and your money is better spent elsewhere.

It appears that Newtown Clock Shoppe has closed its business on State Street, Newtown. It had been…read moreat that location for decades, and had an excellent reputation for being a clock master for old time pieces, capable of raising ancient chronometers from the dead with an inventory of parts not available to modern jewelers. Their collection of grandfather clocks included historic machines that had played a part in the American Revolutionary War. Legend tells us that the very time keeper present in the room where Washington planned his Christmas Eve crossing of the Delaware River leading to the Battle of Trenton, had been repaired several times by this master clocksmith, and resided there for extended periods before the local historic commission was finally formed and took possession of this and many other important irreplaceable objects. A visit to the Half Moon Inn/courthouse a few streets away will grant you an introduction to this very clock, where it continues to keep time to this day. So, the clock shop may be gone, but it's most famous visitor still exists a short walk away on Court Street. If clocks could talk, what tales it would tell!

They always do a beautiful job, whether it's a painting, a print, or an unusual item such as a 3-dimensional piece that requires a higher level of creativity and skill. I think I have a decent eye when it comes to art, but they always have an idea or two that would better display a particular piece than whatever I initially thought I would want. Their selection of frames is classic, but also dovetails with current trends, and they are always ready and willing to work within a budget. Oh, and they also very kindly fixed a problem with a piece I inherited, which had already been poorly custom framed by an incompetent framer in another state. They go above and beyond in terms of customer service - their longevity speaks to their all-around awesomeness. I will never go anywhere else. My only regret is that I'm pretty much out of wall space! (The last job I brought to The Frame Game was a gift for my daughter, who is an artist. So luckily, I can still avail myself of their talents.) They also have a great eye for home decor and gifts, and carry a nice selection. I've purchased premade frames and gift items from both the Newtown and Yardley stores over the years. Definitely check them out for cool holiday gift ideas.
