When I lived in Holland, BCR was a 20 minute walk, and I took heavy advantage of that. Didn't need reservations to look around and any purchase was always appreciated by a neighbor. Now, it is a 10 minute drive, so I have to plan more thoroughly to make the cruise over, and those monthly cut long stems on the kitchen table binges are are thing of the past.
