Unfortunately the flowers were delivered "late" as described on a phone call I received after the flowers were dropped off. This meant that the flowers I had ordered, on time, were left to sit out in 20 degree weather while my parents finished up dinner and could return home to move them indoors. By the morning, the flowers had browned. As evidenced by the photo. I understand that the shop may be busy this time of year however when calls and messages were left to rectify the situation, no return phone call was received on my end. If I could have been alerted to the late delivery earlier we could have postponed the delivery to the next day when a relative would be available to bring the flowers indoors. I would assume a florist of this caliber would know it is gravely inappropriate to leave flowers in frigid cold without confirming they can be taken inside. I have ordered flowers from this florist for years but this is by far the worst treatment or experience I have ever had.

I am absolutly disappointed with this place. I made an order for Mother's Day and I ordered with…read morethe knowledge that it would be a busy delivery day for them since it was Mother's Day but I am beyond unhappy. I called to get a timeframe of when the order would arrive and was told it was getting made around 12pm and would be delivered once done. I called around 2:15pm to cancel the order as I needed to go out and wouldn't be home to receive the order, I was told that they are able to leave it at the door even if no one was home to receive it. That it wasn't a problem so I kept the order. They said it would arrive no later than 4pm which was fine. I come back home at 5:40pm and the arrangement still hasn't been delivered! I waited all day for nothing. I am very unhappy, this is unacceptable. I have never received this kind of service anywhere. Truly disappointing. Edit: They finally came to deliver the order around 6:10pm. And I am shocked with what they were trying to give me. I ordered the deluxe You're Golden Bouquet by Teleflora (Sunflower arrangement) and instead was about to be handed a small box with small daises and yellow roses that looked like no effort was put in when making it. They didn't even bother to call me to let me know that they had run out of those flowers and decided to make something else. I would have canceled if that was the case. Unbelievable.

Though my wedding was in New Hope, I live in NYC. I was able to meet with Kate only once and knew from the first meeting that she really understood our style and vision. She lives on a beautiful little farm where she grows all of her flowers. After our meeting, she created a Pinterest board for my wedding where we both shared ideas and arrangements for the various aspects of the ceremony and reception. Kate is super creative and really knows her stuff. She came up with some gorgeous arrangements and beautifully incorporated the vintage vases that my mom collected. We planned to have our wedding entirely outside, but the weather had other plans for us :) Everything had to be moved inside of 2 barns. The day before the event, I spoke to Kate to go over the changes. I was initially worried about how everything would translate inside, but after talking with her I felt so much better. She was able to bring the outside in by totally transforming the barns into a magical and romantic floral wonderland. I have no doubt that Kate and her assistant worked incredibly hard that day and handled all of the changes with professionalism and grace. They even added some last second details, such as adding candles to the tables and brought in an awesome chandelier made from branches and flowers! When I walked in to the space, I was truely overwhelmed. It was like a dream! If you are looking for a unique, local, artistic, Eco-friendly and absolutely beautiful florist experience, please go to Kate at Lilies and Lavender. Everything is seasonal (as it should be), so if you are looking for exotic tropicals or peonies in January, this is not the florist for you. The prices are completely reasonable and fair, and Kate will work with you to find options within your budget. Kate: I can't thank you enough for everything.
