I have been to so many places and Haru Salon is the only one for me. I can trust them to do an outstanding job and leave me filling with confidence. I'll walk you through the process. First they don you with two capes and another item for your neck. Is it cold? They have a closet that warms up your jacket. Second they wash and massage your hair and your back in a massage chair. Next they cut your hair to your liking and walk you through the process - they will tell you what looks good and why. With the amount of meticulous care I've seen them take compared to anyone else blows me out the water. Another hair wash (okay this is new to me since I have never seen a second hair wash in the North) and styling, waxing, blow drying your hair. At first, she mentioned it would stay around shoulder length and not too short, but she kept cutting until it became much shorter than I expected and it turned out very different than the picture that I showed her. What upset me even more was that after cutting my hair, she moved on to another customer and left me waiting while working on someone else. In the end, my hair turned out terrible. Honestly, it is the shortest and ugliest haircut I have ever had, and I deeply regret going to this place. My point is this: if you cannot give your customers your full attention or provide good service, then don't accept the appointment--especially when customers are paying full price + tip. I will never come back, and I will share this experience with friends to warn them. I AM VERY UPSET!!!!!!!! I regretted giving you tip!!!!

I came here to get a scalp treatment and had a terrible experience. I paid $100 for someone to…read morespray essential oils on my hair and to wash my hair for a so-called "scalp" treatment. The lady who did my hair was also very unprofessional. She literally sprayed the essential oils onto my eyes and let the liquid drip into my eyes and didn't bother covering them. Also, when she was shampooing my hair while I was still seated in my chair, she got the shampoo into my eyes and it BURNED my eyes. She let me go to the restroom to rinse them out and finally put a visor on my forehead to prevent any more shampoo (or any liquid) to get in my eyes. However, I felt that she should have gave me this at the very beginning. Also, during the time I was there, they did not explain to me the whole treatment process due to the language barrier (since most spoke Korean only and little English). They kept trying to get me to buy their products and to come back once every 3 weeks for this scalp treatment. I understand that English is not their first language but they did not take the effort to explain to me what was wrong with my scalp or why I should come back. Lastly, after the lady styled my hair, my hair was already oily and hard so I had to go back to my hotel and wash it again. Overall, I DO NOT recommend coming here for a scalp treatment.

Unfortunately, the last straightening I received at a Japanese hair salon ruined my hair (instead of making it straight they burnt the top part completely and made it more frizzy than ever). I have been patient and trying to outgrow my hair as much as possible. But the humid and wet weather lately made my hair look more and more like a bad 80s mullet cut that can be only tamed in a pony tail! I messaged Ryan over yelp and he was very responsive. It was easy to schedule an appointment! Their salon is located right next to Walmart so there is plenty of parking! Once you enter you are greeted right away. Their main clientele are Koreans but they do speak English and communicate with you well. So no worries there won't be any language barriers regarding your hair. I asked Ryan if I actually could get a C perm which would make my morning hair routine so much easier and I would not need to curl the ends anymore. But after shampooing may hair and assessing it, he told me that he would not recommend it as the ends are too damaged from previous treatment and it could end up looking very frizzy. Since I have lots of hair and they are very frizzy Ella and Ryan worked together to straighten them and it still took them 3 hours! But my hair has never looked this amazing. Straight, shiny and healthy! Love the outcome. Love their friendliness! Love the atmosphere of their salon! It's totally worth driving over 30 min. I found my new to go salon!
