Steve's Foreign Car is exactly what I look for in a mechanic…read more There is no flashy website and no online booking system. You call, you talk to someone who knows cars, and they get to work. It feels refreshingly old school in the best way. I brought my 2018 Volvo in to have a control arm replaced. It had already been diagnosed by another shop, but their quote was almost three times what I ultimately paid here. Steve's team confirmed the issue quickly, explained the repair clearly, and quoted a fair and honest price. No upsell. No pressure. No added work that was not needed. What stood out to me was the focus on doing the right work and nothing more. That kind of honesty is rare, especially when it would have been easy to take advantage of a prior diagnosis. If you want a knowledgeable, reliable mechanic who respects your time and your money, this is the place.

Very nice service, let me use the wifi and stay inside on a very cold day. Well, it only occurred to me later, after the car was diagnosed properly at my normal service place - when a car runs out of transmission fluid, might there not be a leak? Shouldn't a good technician realize that and check for a leak? Apparently the fluid was pooling in the tray under the engine. Mike's didn't see that? So A for friendliness, E for effort. I'm going to keep going farther to the place that goes the extra mile and keeps my car on the road.

They kept my previous car running to almost 300,000 miles... always providing me with options and wise recommendations based on the age of the car and my appetite to keep putting money into it. I'm in a newer car now and I've moved to a different town but still go to Towaco Service for my needs. One time I did not almost ended badly. I broke down and had my car towed to the nearest dealership out of convenience. It took the dealer 2 weeks to diagnose. They claimed I needed a new clutch and transmission. It's so great supporting the small business owners who deserve the business: 5 stars for Towaco Service Center!
