Michelle has a knack for making a customer feel cared for. I recently switched from 33 years hard smoking to vaping and I am completely ignorant about the vape products. I saw the store from the road and decided to stop by. Michelle sensed my hesitancy and encouraged me with a small friendly talk. She made me feel so comfortable and valued. I attended Vape&Smokes 101. She even made sure to inform me about the relevant items on sale. Michelle provided me with expert knowledge, genuine atmosphere, and kindness. Of course, I came back and, needless to say, I assigned Wise Guys Vapes - Des Plaines as my vape store. Horrible will not go ever again. Purchased a disposable vape. After opening it. It was horrible Ammonia/ cat pee smell/ taste so of course I'm not going to use it. Showed Dec 2024 date they said the was manufacturer date and would only give me 20% off a new one. I threw it in garbage and will go to a different shop for now on. Out $32 was not going to pay more money after poor business ethics. read more

All I want to say is that this is not the place to do business with for vaping/smoking supplies. They have a zero return policy on anything sold that is not opened in the store. For example I got two Orion bar vapes on my way to softball, one of which was completely open (unsealed, no packaging other than the box) and in the box that I did not know about till getting to the field. When I went in to EXCHANGE it THE SAME NIGHT for a sealed one the person who sold it to me politely said company policy is get fucked since it wasn't opened in store. No they didn't say it that bluntly; but I couldn't even exchange it for the SAME thing. So I said fuck it and threw it all away in the shop in front of the person who sold it to me that night. I created a YELP to inform people of this idiocracy. Why would anybody have this kind of a business model. If this was 1-2 days later I get that, I agree; but the same night?! This is a place I would urge others to avoid. If the owner actually reads this I would greatly appreciate the refund that I am rightful owed. read more

I went in today to buy some new pods and I showed them the one I have and when I got home they sold me the wrong ones. I went back to the store and they said it was my fault and they would not give me my money back they could only exchange it for the correct ones. I told them that was fine but they did not have them and that I can come back on Thursday to exchange them. I asked for something in writing and they would not do that for me. don't trust this place unless you like to waste your money. read more

What a fantastic vape store - for both new vapors & pros. Great stock & reasonable prices. Fantastic stock of some great premium line vape juices. The staff is very knowledgeable, patient & ready to help. This isn't your average vape shop, the people that work there are very experienced and have been with the company many years. Give them a shot. Grab a stool, relax and try some new juices. You won't be disappointed. I am an extremely picky vapor - only finding very few flavors that appeal to me. The staff not o lot helped me find what I was looking for but also introduced me to some new lines & flavors that I have never tried. All premium products. No typical crappy store brand. Check it out. It's better than what you find at other shops. Really liked the shop in Fox River Grove the moment I stepped in. Bought a vape for first time as a healthier alternative to smoking butts. Liked the vape that was recommended but within 2 weeks the glass broke and liquid spilled all over me. Had the vape in my hand while closing the car door and that small pressure alone cracked the glass. I went into the shop to see what my alternatives were as I couldn't find the receipt (which may still be somewhere). I had all the component parts and original box. I was hoping they would accept my credit card receipt or be able to reference their reward program I enabled the same day of purchase. The response I got was that they couldn't do anything for me and added that even if I had a receipt they wouldn't exchange it because they stated it was my fault it broke. I asked, these vapes aren't able to withstand a grip less than that of a handshake? Response was a smirk that said sorry not our problem you did it. In my mind, by that rationale the only way a product will be exchanged is if the glass broke by mere act of inhaling! Too bad. Looks like a fun place but why spend hard earned money somewhere that won't stand behind their products. For a $22 vape you think, that only having had it for less than 2 weeks, they'd at least sell me another at cost. You think a tobacco company would close the door on you as a customer letting years of loyalty, streaming liquid sales, and subsequent equipment purchases walk out the door? Totally short sighted, without a customer service backbone. Priority is in looking cool rather than servicing well. read more

I have to give it up to these guys! I have visited a bunch of Vape shops around Chicago and this has to be the best. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with friendly and knowledgeable staff. There selection of E-Liquids is mind boggling, so many flavors to try! I walked in here looking for E-Liquid and the Staff member working at the time told me that my battery was wearing out and that I should replace it ASAP or it could become dangerous. I really appreciated that advice and got hooked up with fresh batteries. Overall great experience and amazing staff, will definitely return! read more

I have been coming to this shop since it opened. Although the employees have changed, the level of great products at great prices and their excellent customer service have not. This to me is the best vape shop in the area and there are several. This places has everything, from the new vapor starting out to more advanced items. The staff is always taking the time to answer questions no matter how stupid you might think they are. The prices compare to most physical shops in the area. They also have a very good juice selection. They encourage you to have a seat at the bar and try as many flavors as you like. Wise Guys is my goto store and should be yours too! read more

Started off with great customer service only to change the rules depending on who's working and per the manager he's fired all the guys that took care of their loyal customers. So now he can keep the customers that walk in and never come back cause he's not going to have any loyal customers when you keep changing your store policies and brag about firing your help. read more

I decided to try Wise Guy Vapes today after my favorite vape shop was closed for labor day. I came in and the place was very dirty, but as they were doing some construction I excused it and was just glad a shop was open. The employees there were not very helpful and hardly acknowledged me and my friends as he was talking to some friends. after we picked our products and decided to hang a bit in their very messy lounge area a couple and their child who could not have been more than four years came into the store, I would find this acceptable if they had come in real quick to pick something up or say hi to their friends but they stayed for quite a bit which I found very unprofessional and illegal. When my friend was filling his tank with juice the cap fell off and juice exploded most likely due to poor packaging and none of the employees offered a hand or even acknowledged the fact that this happened. If you are looking for a sub par vape shopping experience I would recommend this place to you but if you are looking for better customer service and prices I cannot recommend Vapeur District or Big Dog vape any more. read more
