I found out last minute my employer changed insurance so with only a few places to go I went to the wisconsin vision in oshkosh. I didnt get her name but I tried to tell her my insurance doent give you a card we are just suppose to tell you vsp. She cut me off several times when I tried to show her that it says tgey are in network and just kept plunking on her computer not listening. I was puzzled of her behavior so I just said "stop". I said we are not going to do this thanks but i am just not doing this and i walked out. I decided that i still wanted to find what i was looking for and went to the appleton wisconsin vision. I realized a week before my sister's wedding that my glasses were, well, falling apart. Did I want those in her wedding photos? No, I did not. Armed with a prescription from elsewhere, I came in here to inquire just how long frames would take and was told 5-10 days. Once I explained the urgency of the situation, they called the lab and assured me that they could get my order to the head of the line, in time for the wedding. Great. I picked out frames and ordered on a Tuesday afternoon, and was shocked to get a call on Thursday telling me that my glasses were ready -- they more than delivered on my timeline! It took a couple of visits for adjustments, and off I went, with plenty of time left before the wedding. However, I have to say that, despite these being Teflon-coated lenses (and pretty darn expensive!), these are the smudgiest glasses I've ever had in my 20 years of wearing glasses. I clean them, they're wonderfully, perfectly clear, and a few hours later there are annoying smudges on the lenses. I probably spray them down twice a day and wipe with the provided cloth more than that. On a recent trip, I practically ran out of prepackaged lens cleaning wipes! I have no clue what is going on, but it is driving me nuts. So kudos for the quick turnaround, but I'd rather pass on becoming obsessive about wiping off my glasses... read more

I went to Wisconsin Vision for both regular glasses and prescription safety glasses. The ladies on the floor were very professional and helpful when it came to picking out frames and ensuring that they would fit properly. Both pairs of glasses came within the projected two week time frame and they needed no adjustments whatsoever. Dr. Hubertus is friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable with any questions you might have during your eye exam. Highly recommended and will be going back. read more

Nine months ago I purchased three pair of glasses for $900.00+ , I was assured that they were warranties against scratching, breakage, anti glare etc. I recently went in because they had become scratched to the point of causing difficulty seeing. I was told there were no guarantees against scratching but they could give 20% off on new lenses. I had specifically asked about scratching and was assured by the clerk that they were warranties for a year!!! I will never buy another product from them. If you do save all paper work and get warranties in writing!! I should have realized when upon purchase it took over two months for my third pair of glasses to arrive. Very poor service and little regard for customer satisfaction!!! read more

DO NOT BOTHER. I needed a medication refilled, and had been trying to get the Dr. to send a new prescription to the pharmacy for 2 weeks. The day came that I ran out, so I called on a Saturday which is a day that he's not there of course. Around came Monday, and after (I kid you not) 9 calls between WI Vision and my pharmacy, they finally had a prescription. Turns out, THEY SENT THE WRONG ONE. Come to the next day, I called WI Vision again and they said "well, we have a full day of patients but we'll try." EXCUSE ME?! I need these drops to see. I replied "no, that's unacceptable. I expect this to be done by this afternoon." Again, met with a "well, we'll try." Days later and I'm still waiting. I've gone in person twice, each time met with "Doctor isn't in, we can't help you." My primary physician won't write the prescription since it's a specialty eye drop that they don't know enough about. No fault on them, they're not optometrists/ophthalmologists. I'm absolutely enraged, with my vision worsening by the day, and no one seems to give 2 s**** about any of this. I still do not have my prescription. Go to a REAL eye clinic if you need anything. This place is the worst. read more

My husband's employer switched to this awful place for safety glasses! First off he found the pair he wanted and instead of having plastic lenses in the frame like most reputable eyewear places, they measured by using a piece of tape. Needless to say this first pair came back wrong and the side shield kept falling off . This pair took two weeks to get. He went back in and had to pick a different pair. He was looking for a pair with spring hinges and the person waiting on him said they don't make those which was false and he proved that when he found those. This pair at least had lenses. He got these ordered. 3 weeks later they finally came in, only to be the wrong frames. The lady knew as soon as she looked at them and said that she must have written the number wrong. Well now it will be another 3 weeks to get these. It is going to take at least 8 weeks to hopefully get his safety glasses and that is if they are right this time, which I really don't think they will be! They also called and lied to his employer as they knew he would be complaining! Stay away! read more

I was in Wisconsin visiting long time family friends. I had a contact lens tear and get stuck in my eye. Of course it was late and I had to wait until the next morning. I went to the Oshkosh location. The woman there was very rude and seemed put off that I needed help. I am 45 yrs old but am disabled and have Medicare as my primary and a PPO as a secondary. The woman told me that they do not take out of state insurance. Ok Medicare is federal and I have a PPO. I was treated great by the eye doctor. Flash forward. I get a bill from them telling me everthing was denied. I talked to my PPO insurance and they said that they paid their share and that it was submitted wrong. I then talked to Wisconsin Vision. It was the same even ruder woman. She refused to listen refused to think she made a mistake said her 4 month old bill was not paid by insurance and told me that Medicare is a state insurance and they do not accept. If a company does not take federally recognized and backed Medicare and can not bill properly to a nationally recognized PPO I would say to go somewhere else no matter how the doctors are. read more
