I have been coming here for years. Brian and Radar are top notch employees. Dr. Meek was easy to work with and very thorough. They also give you a free hearing exam as well. That was completely unexpected. Prices are in alignment with most optical shops. They took great care of my eyes as well as my ears! Was a very comfortable office visit. Dr. Meek, Kelly Q and Sheldon were so amazing at making me feel welcomed, what a super nice and laid back staff! I previously went to Wisconsin Vision on 108th street in West Allis and one of the sales reps was extremely rude/mean about the style of frames I wanted so I didn't want to return to that location. Kelly Q helped me pick out the frames I wanted and even looked for extra pairs while I was in my eye exam. She made sure I was billed correctly and Sheldon helped her verify the insurance information. I will definitely be coming here in the future! read more

Best Customer Service! One of my nose grippers broke off, and Justin, Betsy and Victoria sprang into action. They got me a new set of frames and had the lenses in in about five minutes! I had an eye exam here. Unfortunately for me, the doctor didn't realize he was supposed to give me an exam (or maybe he just wasn't told), and I caught him just as he was walking out the door. Bad appointment / record keeping? Either way, the end result was a quickie "eye exam." I left with a feeling that I didn't get the full exam I paid for. I felt rushed and hurried out the door - not something I want to experience when I'm getting my yearly eye exam! Incidentally, my husband's experience with WV should be a negative star review. He got an eye exam, tried on a pair of glasses he liked and wound up purchasing the glasses. When he went to pick them up, it turned out they didn't order the pair, but wound up just giving him the display pair instead. I should also mention the pair didn't fit right, and he wound up going back several times to try and get them fitted correctly. Oh yeah, and one of the lenses kept popping out, and we eventually just stopped taking them there, since they couldn't fix them correctly to begin with. A year later, they still don't fit correctly. They are incredibly tight on his head and this was something they didn't fix, either. We won't be going back here. The people were nice, but after my husband's experience, we decided it would be better to go someplace else that would give us the thorough exam we need, and the glasses we really paid for (and not the display pair because they forgot to order them in). read more

I think I might enjoy shopping for glasses... really only when I find glasses that I want. Anyway, my first thought today was, "I think I want to get my hair cut." What ended up happening was that I went to pick out frames for new glasses. They have lots of selection, inexpensive to designer. You can have an eye exam as well. The staff have been great... well minus the time that they didn't tell me that I had to pay a co-pay and then asked me to come back to the store to pay it. They are fairly knowledgeable about the different vision insurance policies, although some of them will say that the lenses are fully covered by your insurance, but you may want to take a look at which lenses are actually fully covered versus the ones with Teflon coating or the super thin ones... your insurance may actually only cover say... $8 of $65 (and that's just for one lens). I'm not bitter, I have just worn glasses for so long and know that the really nice stuff, like the no-reflection lenses are not usually covered by insurance. Anyway, I tried on a lot of glasses today. The lady that helped me was really set on a particular pair and even after narrowing down to three, she walked around to find glasses that were similar but slightly different since I liked one particular aspect. In the end, I still settled on one of the ones I had chosen. One of the things that I took a star off for is also the fact that they don't do the lenses in house, so it has to be sent out and instead of instant gratification (or gratification in an hour), you have to wait for an indefinite amount of time. The lady at the store said a week to two weeks. This might be why I always went to Lens Crafters... 1 hour, and I could shop in the mall at the same time. I should have paid attention to this fact as I was hoping to have my new specs for my vacation, but at least I will have something to look forward to when I return. read more

Cannot say enough positive things about the staff at this location in Elm Grove. Fantastic customer service with every interaction. Clean. Standard brands plus variety of luxury lines. Prices are nothing to complain about here either. The one female dr I've interacted with most made schedule changes/tweaks to fit me in, since I had time constraints. WORST eyewear purchasing experience EVER. Could not tell us what the cost would be at time of order because they did not know how much INS would pay. That's a new one on me, we've had INS for over 25 years and always knew what we were going to pay before we left the store. MONTHS later they sent us an invoice for more than we expected, and they could never really explain how much the INS co paid. I finally had to call my ins carrier for an explanation, which did not really match their invoice. Lens did not fit in frame right and they had to remake the lens, and we had to drop them off at the factory in New Berlin, otherwise it would be another 5 days for them to mail the glasses. I had problems after my last exam, spring of 2012. I think the Dr messed up the prescription to begin with as I couldn't see well out of 1 eye when the glasses came in. I spent a lot of $$ on the glasses and they remade the lens 2 x. Finally I was refunded the $$ and asked not to come back there. The last pair I had gotten made there the lenses ended up having scratch marks on them after a few months. They had to remake the lenses, at their cost, due to poor quality material. If I'm not going to see well out of my glasses I sure don't want to pay $500 or more! I had a pair of reading glasses made at a little private owner place and they are great, at 1/2 the cost. read more

Not that great of a place to invest all your money. Go some where else. They could not tell me the cost of the frames and we recevied a bill months later because of insurance costs. But the problem is that Wisconsin vision said that THEY CALLED and it was NO PROBLEM. Everything was a problem right from the start. On top of the costs, our frames did not fit. We had to go to New Berlin to fix them ourselfs.. They never called when they were ready and no one even said sorry for all the work I had to put into it. They are nice, but not helpful when needed. I took off a half day of work to fix it. My parents later had the same experience. I am starting to think that this is how they run. Never got any of my money back. read more
