We were late in the season (February) when we tried to get a camping site in devils lake. So happy we found KOA. From the morning of our arrival, we received a courtesy text from the staff. Google maps directed us well to the campground. Once we arrived, check in was super easy. Our host gave us LOTS of info, but it was super nice and great that all of it was down in writing too. They are very friendly, and Ted was awesome in his cart who lead us to our campsite. Among all the great activities that they have planned for the families, we love that they have other amenities: game room, pool, splash pad, laundry room, and whaaaaat? They even deliver you firewood and ice. To your site. No need to get in the car to go to a supermarket and fight someone for the last bag of ice (btw, this is a true story, from this trip while visiting outside of the campsite). How awesome is that? Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip short due to inclement weather, and they were very understanding and helpful. We will definitely visit them back again, and we recommend KOA WIS DELLS to anyone who may be looking for a somewhat last minute get away :) Two thumbs up! Ps: they let you know as you check in that the wifi is not strong enough for streaming, only for maybe checking emails. We planned ahead and downloaded all necessary content. Just FYI in case you have little or big ones who need the extra entertainment!

Tent on ground with inline??

Clean campground accept for the individuals that think they can't flush their used toilet paper. Pool is small and always crowded. If your tent camping ask for a site that doesn't have an incline so you don't roll out of your tent. Little to no activities but quiet.

This is what all the fire pits look like.

I stayed in a cabin when I visited My 10 fast facts: 1) The site has a game room, small convenience store (which is likely to have whatever you forgot to bring), swimming pool, bicycle rentals, dishwashing station, and playground area for the kids 2) The cabins come in various sizes. Some have bathrooms and some don't. Each cabin has enough space to park two cars. 3) The fire pit is also a combination grill so you dont need to bring your own 4)The BATHROOMS and SHOWERS are community but they're completely private. Each toilet and shower is in a small room with a locked door that displays VACANT or OCCUPIED above the door knob And yes so far they've always been clean. 5) The firewood they sell here is 3 bundles for $12 as of this posting. Its basically tree bark, so i didnt by it. The grocery store called Maurer's Market has the best and largest bundles on fire wood I've seen so far. There's also a wood mill a 5 minute walk away. $5 a armfull. You deposit money in a box. I'm sure this is where KOA gets their bark from that they sell as wood. 6) Bring your own bed sheets and pillows as they are not provided in the cabins. Be sure to bring a thick warm blanket or space heater. My cabin was drafty and I got very cold at night. This was in the beginning of August. 7) Bring enough lamps and candles for your site. Campsite gets very dark. 8) The bunk beds that come in the cabins ARE NOT for tall people. I'm only 5'8 and had a hard time 9) Internet reception in the park is decent. I have tmobile and I had 4gLte signal the majority of the time. 10) It's right off of downtown Wisconsin Dells and is extremely close, driving wise, to everything. I shall return

Nice campground in a very central location to the Dells. Easy access to all main attractions in the area. The campground itself is a bit hilly and some of the sites are harder to get into then others but we were able to maneuver into ours. The site was level which works for us! Came with a nice little patio area as well to enjoy the fire. Perfect spot if you plan on heading into the area.

Colorful fire!

Love this park!…read more We've been coming to Country Roads since 2004. We've been here for a number of RV rallies and just short visits on our own. We knew the previous owners well. I don't know the current owner or if I've met them but I will say that the place is still very well run from a customer perspective. All staff we've ever encountered has represented the park well. The property is kept up well. Always mowed and nice flowers and plants well planted and cared for all over the park. We used the laundry this week there for the very first time. It was very clean, the machines all worked well and it was inexpensive in our experience ($2 per wash and $2 per dry). The laundry is behind the office and accessible from the office or from the back of the building. Tokens for the machines are sold at the office. They sell firewood, ice, food and other items at the office. There's a small check-in office as you enter the park. Once you are checked in, staff escorts you to your site. The roads in the park in concentric circles. It's very unique and it works very well. There are a lot of tall, mature trees that they keep trimmed up nicely. So most sides have some shade and some sites have a lot of shade. There are bathhouses here. I've not used the showers but I have used the restrooms. Very clean. This park allows travel trailers, 5th wheels and motor homes. I'm not sure if they have any age restrictions on units. I've seen some older (not junky) units in here, some very nice Prevost-based units and everything in between. There are seasonal RVers here but my sense it that great than 50% of the RVers here are transient. Country Roads has always advertised itself "for the big kids". This means there are rarely any children present. There is no playground here and the pool was filled in, in the early 2000's. This suits us well. There are many, many RV parks in this area and all of them cater to families and that's just fine. We've stayed at many of them when we had our kids with us. Country Roads in 5 to 10 minutes from anything in Lake Delton / Wisconsin Dells / Baraboo. A Walmart and Home Depot and more are a quarter mile away. I can recommend Country Roads to any RVer with any type of RV.

Full hook-ups at a reasonable price. Lots are long and spacious. You're close to your neighbor, but not that close. They do have horseshoes to throw and they do Farkle Friday (dice game if you don't know what that is). It's very close to the Dells, Devil's Lake State Park and Mirror Lake State Park. Lots to do in the area, especially for families. TONS of water parks (which were insanely crowded this weekend as we drove by).

Wonderful State Park! Memorable experience! Would certainly plan to return!…read more Our big annual camping trip with the family recently took us to Mirror Lake, a spot that was new to all of us. It's an easy distance from where we live in Milwaukee, as it's in close proximity to the Wisconsin Dells. That said, even though we were deep in the woods camping, there was plenty of civilization close by should we have needed to restock on anything. Since we had quite a big group, we booked a double-site and boy did we luck out. I think we had the largest double that was available. It fit two large RV/campers and five tents, leaving ample room for tons of chairs around the fire pit and the big picnic tables provided. Oh and they are *electric campsites* which can be hard to find! No water hook up though. Not too far down from our site was the big shower houses/bathrooms. And let me just say, these are NICE! Like very nice. And very clean. Probably the best campsite bathrooms I've ever seen. I feel as though the building was very new / freshly redone. Other pros: plenty of lake activities (we rented both kayaks and pontoon boats), great walking paths (freshly laid wood chips and clear signage), lakeside beaches, and various playgrounds for the kiddos. Oh and fun planned experiences by the park - it was "Smokey Bear's birthday" when we were there and they had a firetruck on-site, water games, bday treats, prizes, and a meet and greet with the bear himself. A hit with our kids. Even if you're not camping, this state park would be wonderful for a day trip!

A self proclaimed Christian thief runs around at this Camp Ground: Earlier this year, a tree fell…read moreon my trailer at Western Woods Campground and completely totaled it. While that alone was devastating, what happened afterward was even more disappointing. After everything I went through (including a recent heart attack) , I also discovered that my propane tank disappeared and the septic tank service I paid for was never actually completed, even though I was charged for it. That is unacceptable. What troubles me most is the contradiction between the image this family presents and the way I was treated. Publicly presenting yourselves as strong believers while allowing dishonesty, lack of accountability, and questionable behavior behind the scenes sends the wrong message. Eric, as both a father and a man who presents himself as a believer (A church Deacon) , should be setting an example of honesty, integrity, accountability, and biblical values for his daughter Lexi. Instead, what I experienced taught the exact opposite. Children learn by watching their parents, and the values being demonstrated here were not biblical values. Lexi, you need to disassociate yourself from these lessons here you're very sweet lady. Scripture says, "Thou shall not steal," and also teaches us to train up our children in the ways of the Lord. Faith is not just something you advertise when times are easy -- it is shown through honesty, integrity, and how you treat people when difficult situations arise. If these statements were false, I would be concerned about slander. I am not concerned because these events actually happened, and I have documentation supporting what I experienced. I was at this campground before this family purchased it. Since they took ownership, I have repeatedly heard concerns from others regarding greed, aggressive behavior, and the way people are treated whenever there is disagreement or conflict. Those are not values that believers should be living by or promoting. This review is not about money. It is about character, accountability, and truth. I want a publicly rebuke, this supposed man of God. I wonder if your pastor Knows about your behavior?

While the grounds of the resort are nice, the safety standards and staff response were unacceptable. On Thursday, August 14th, a member of my group informed staff that the inflatable waterslides appeared slightly deflated. The staff's only response was that someone would be coming on Friday to look at them. No warnings were given to campers about avoiding the inflatables, and no signs were posted to restrict their use. Later that day, I went down the inflatable slide. Because it was partially deflated, I slid down at an awkward angle into very shallow water. The pond also had a raised, turf-like surface at the bottom that created a bump. When I hit the bottom, my foot twisted, and I broke my ankle. The staff response to my injury was extremely concerning. The manager stayed in the office and did not come to help. Instead, a child around 12 or 13 years old was sent to assist, but they were not able to provide any help. Another camper (not part of my group) and my boyfriend ended up helping me out of the water and onto a bench so I could elevate my foot. When my boyfriend's mother asked staff for crutches or basic first aid supplies, they had nothing available. The only suggestion was to use a shuffleboard stick as a crutch, which was flimsy and unusable. No staff member brought ice, took down any details of the incident, or checked in on me. It was another camper (not staff) who eventually brought me ice for my ankle. With no assistance from the resort, my boyfriend had to drive me to the hospital, where I was diagnosed with a broken ankle. Because it was late and raining, we returned to the campground that night, but had to cut our trip short and go home the next day. At no point did staff follow up, take notes, or even come to the cabin to see if I was okay. To this day, I have not heard anything from Fox Hill--no apology, no acknowledgement, and no offer of assistance regarding the situation that happened. This entire experience showed a clear lack of safety protocols, communication, and basic first aid support at Fox Hill RV Resort. The inflatables were left in unsafe condition despite prior notice, there were no warnings to guests, and the staff failed to respond properly after my injury.
