What a cute little place I never knew existed! In the back of this local liquor store is a nice patio with fireplaces and area to enjoy a cocktail and chat with friends. We came as a date night and the drinks were delicious and service was friendly. The weather was very nice and some people even had their fireplace on! Patio is only open at certain days/times so check ahead of

What a quaint and wonderful store! Brea (hope I spelled that right) was AWESOME! He has a cool vibe and instantly made us feel welcomed. He was extremely helpful as well. There is a good selection of products and we quite pleased to find a particular beer we had been searching for. We checked out the unique bar area and totally look forward to going back when it's open! They do have a military discount. Highly recommend this business.

Hidden gem located in Brandon, right next to a Publix. This outdoor space is everything I've been dreaming of/wanted in Florida since moving here. I moved from STL and this reminds me of the patios there, which is a great standard. Drinks are 10/10. I had the old fashioned (there are 200+ different whiskeys here) it's made with Elijah Craig, and it was fantastic. I then had the margarita which was made with fresh limes and it was also great. I finished off with a lager which I don't know the name of cuz I had the waiter surprise me and it was one of the best beers I've had in a while. I'd rate my experience a 10/10 overall. Atmosphere, drinks, service, ambiance, everything is what it needs to be here. I will definitely be coming here frequently. You should too!

OK so I live in Brandon like 2 minutes from this place and I had no clue they had a Patio that has cocktails, beer, and more! It's hidden away behind the liquor store in a courtyard that is very reminiscent of Europe. The service was stellar and of course if you want to take some alcohol home, the store is right next door. I was impressed with my Old Fashioned ($10) and their selection of beers included a delicious Vanilla Stout that I ordered twice ($8 each). My guest enjoyed a Margarita ($12) with freshly squeezed juices, no sour mix crap. The vibe was very chill at the courtyard, plenty of shade and protected from most of Florida's elements, although you probably would have a hard time there on a summer stormy day, there was some covering from a balcony. The bar inside is even more quaint and very 1920s. I would totally chill in there and talk to the bartender pre-COVID days. It's still really great though, even if its just for a minute and I saw people in there having some fun. The crowd was older and more mature, which was enjoyable since I'm in my 30s now (lol). I'd go back and recommend you do! Hours change so check out their website for the latest and sometimes they do have events so be aware. I'll be back soon! We went ahead and purchased a bottle of Dos Hombres Mezcal on our way out because the price is the same as other liquor stores for it, so shop small always if possible!

This is a really cool place with down to earth owners. The store offers a large variety of spirits and beverages. On Wednesday through Saturday they open their patio to customers for a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy tasty beverages. They allow you to bring in your own food as well. We've seen people bring in food from The local eatery near by. If you plan on going on Friday, get your food and get there early. This is a very popular place to hang out, listen to music and relax.

Best outside whiskey bar in Florida. Incredible selection of bourbon and 1950s vibe!

Located in the Winthrop Plaza in Riverview/ Brandon, I've purchased things from this hidden gem liquor store off and on throughout the years. This one is the only one that I've been to so far that has an in-store bar included. Walking in, this place looks like your typical local liquor store, but with nicer ceiling tiles due to their matching of shopping plaza's architectural theme. The selections are somewhat limited due to the tenant space size, but it serves it's purpose. They have a very knowledgeable staff when it comes to craft beer. They can give you stories/opinions up and down about most of the craft beer selections. They're also pretty good with their knowledge of wine too. They have a bar right next to it accessed via door would you lead you into a beautiful narrow indoor bar area which then leads through an exterior door into their side patio. This bar used to be open for their winetasting Wednesdays (Before the worldwide pandemic). There's a bar, however, has re-opened for Friday nights, and Saturday nights. If you purchase a bottle from their store, there is no corking fee if you choose to have a drink at their bar/bar patio area. It's worth a visit if you happened to be on this side of town and are looking for a low-key bar hang out for drinks with friends and/or significant other. Remember: wear your mask, practice social distancing, and wash your hands.

So Whiskey Cake has been on my bucket list FOR YEARS and I'm so happy to have finally gotten around…read moreto getting myself over there as I'm now on the market to go somewhere else for cake (and let's face it, I a new dinner spot). Really, I came for cake, but I stayed for...everything else. I got good vibes upon visiting here with my pup Muffin. The folks at the hostess stand were super welcoming and seated me right away. Very shortly I was greeted by my wonderful server Amber. She told me all about the restaurant which had me even more excited to come here for dinner. She also gave me great recs for drinks. Being that it was a SUPER HOT day I went for a non-alcoholic drink (because I barely drink) and Amber recommended Ruby Slippers, which is basically a strawberry basil lemonade. OMG SSSSOOO refreshing, and when I dumped my water into the glass to get more of the flavor it helped quench my thirst. For my appetizer, their fried green tomatoes. Generous portion, lightly breaded and crisp, practically a tempura. Came with a thick dipping sauce with dill that was rich and refreshing all the same. For my dinner I went with the steak salad. Normally I don't do salad for dinner unless I'm unimpressed with the menu, but that was not the case here, rather I just wanted to eat a little lighter. I thought the steak salad would be a great choice. What impressed me with it is that it wasn't overly large like salads tend to be at other places, and had a great variety of ingredients including shaved gruyere. My steak was cooked PERFECTLY (I went with medium rare). The portion size was PERFECT and I could see myself eating this on a normal lunch day. And of course, I've saved THE BEST for last. The major reason why I came. Their signature namesake dish. WHISKEY CAKE. I was pretty fully at the end of the dinner, so I got it to-go. Turns out, it was smart move so I could pair with coffee and really take my time enjoying it. This is some SERIOUS CAKE. Tastes like dreams and toffee with a little bit of a kick. Moist yet dense with a hearty toffee and molasses taste to it, it comes with a side of vanilla cream cheese drizzle that I poured over the toffee and pecan covered top. It was PEFFECTION. So glad to finally try Whiskey Cake, and I would definitely be back--even if it's only to get a cake to-go!

The patio is so cute, with some hydroponic gardens and a little herb garden, but the inside had the A/C going, so we were grateful for the cooler air inside. Since it was noon on a Saturday, we were able to enjoy the brunch menu. My kiddo had the chicken melt, which was HUGE, and she really liked it. I had the crab Benedict. The hollandaise sauce had a nice little kick to it, but the crab was kind of "fishy" tasting, so I kind of drowned it in lemon juice and that made it better. The poached eggs were perfect. We both had the chili butter potatoes for our side, and they were SO crispy and delicious. We didn't save room for dessert, but wished we had - the signature whiskey cake looked delicious.

We arrived around 5pm and we were able to pick where we sat. We sat at one of the booths and Brian was our oh so awesome server. He came over with a smile and a run down of what's good. We started with cocktails, we both ordered The Elderberry, it was perfect & so refreshing. For our entrees, we had both of the burgers on the HH menu, the Small Batch Whiskey and the Small Batch Lassahn. We also ordered The Salmon burger. For sides we had the regular fries and the Parmesan truffle fries. Everything was soooooo good. The beef burgers were seasoned so perfectly, and cooked medium as we requested. Every bite made my taste buds dance. The truffle fries were so good, I almost ordered more. The garlic aioli is a must for dipping your fries in. The Whiskey has lots of seating, tables, booths and bar seating. There's lots of pictures on the walls and tvs. It's a vibe for sure. I'm so glad we had lunch at The Whiskey and will definitely go back the next time we are in Orlando. Thanks Brian for making our experience awesome!

For the entree, I ordered a Shroom n Swiss - it was cooked so well, but I was surprised that the mushroom was the size of the patty versus smaller ones. The service was great, very attentive and quick!

If you are in Ybor City and trying to enjoy yourself without lighting your wallet on fire, Barrio…read moreTacos is a very smart move. What I appreciated most is the build your own taco option, because it allows you to order exactly what you want without paying for a bunch of filler ingredients you were going to push to the side anyway. When you strip it down to the proteins and toppings you actually like, the cost savings are real. In a place like Ybor, where prices can creep up quickly, that matters. Now, the à la carte menu can feel a little confusing at first glance. It is not the most straightforward ordering system if you are just breezing through. But once someone walks you through it and you understand how to piece your order together, it becomes completely worth it. You end up with exactly what you want, and you are not overpaying for things you did not ask for. The vibe was great. The service was friendly and patient, which helps when you are trying to decode the menu. And the location is ideal. There is an outdoor patio with umbrellas on the sunny side of the street, which gives you options. You can sit in the sun if you want that warm Florida glow, or you can stay shaded if you are protecting your skin but still want to be outside watching the action unfold on the strip. And let's be honest, half the entertainment in Ybor is people watching. Add in the random roosters casually strolling around like they own the neighborhood, and you have a full show with your meal. I loved everything about this place and highly recommend it if you want to save a few bucks on food while still soaking up everything Ybor City has to offer. Good tacos, good vibes, good people watching. Hard to beat that combination.

Not much changed from it being the previous locations of other restaurants, but it definitely needs more natural light. It's like eating in a dungeon. The tacos there was a lot going on on the menu and I'm sure this is a niche, but it is not a niche. I am on board with any taco that had ground beef was kind of disgusting the other tacos. You could've made them at home and probably made them better if you're looking for authenticity this is not the place. Service the service was not much to write home about nothing was stellar, but nothing was bad. With all things being equal, this is not a place that I would naturally recommend somebody likes it but it's probably the same people that eat Tijuana flat.
