Our experience with Winter Park Escapes was extremely disappointing and frustrating, and I would not recommend Winter Park Escapes as a management company in Winter Park, Colorado. After our stay, we were charged a "hot tub misuse" fee for damage we did not cause. While photos were eventually shared, they did not demonstrate damage resulting from our use of the hot tub. During our stay, a hot tub technician stopped by unannounced to make repairs related to issues caused by a previous renter, which raises serious concerns about how responsibility for the damage was determined. At no point during our stay were we informed that we had caused any damage or misused the hot tub. There was nothing apparent to us that would have warranted a misuse fee, and no clear evidence was provided linking the alleged damage to our stay. Compounding the issue was the lack of communication. We sent multiple emails and made repeated phone calls attempting to resolve this matter and received little to no response for an extended period of time. When we finally did hear back, the company refused to remove the charge, citing internal notes rather than proof, and instead offered a discount on a future stay--which does not resolve an improper charge. This experience demonstrated poor communication, lack of professionalism, and an unwillingness to fairly investigate a legitimate concern. I strongly encourage future guests to carefully review any post-stay charges and be cautious when booking through this management company. read more

Horrific customer service and Inaccurate Advertising! Arrived to my very expensive 4 BR rental home the week after Christmas to find a 30 degree downslope driveway with two inches of ice and 6 inches of snow. After unloading the SUVs, we couldn't get either car out of the driveway to do anything for 4 days! Despite multiple calls for help. They dropped off a bag of sand and a bag of ice treatment for me to dig out of the snow and ice to apply in 10 degree weather! WTF? The driveway should have been snowplowed and treated before our arrival. The ad for the house stated "the shuttle picks you up right outside your door." That was a huge selling point for a three generation, multi family rental ages 2-64 years old. Nope, it was actuallythree hundred and fifty foot, 30 degree uphill walk to the shuttle. We could only take the shuttle because we were iced in the driveway. Called multiple times every day only to be told they "couldn't reach anyone for help." On the third day they sent a repair man who said "I have no clue what they expect me to do." On the fourth day of seven, they sent a young man to tow the vehicles uphill out of the driveway and snowplow the driveway. FINALLY! We ended up parking the two wheel drive suburban in a city garage 1 mile from the house to keep it from getting stuck, again. An answering service answers the company phone with "All I can do is pass on the information." The lack of response to a terrible situation, ruining a family vacation at a $16,000 rental was stunning! I will NEVER use Winter Park Escapes again! read more

My experience with Winter Park escapes was amazing. We decided to rent Pole Creek, which was perfect for our group made up of five couples. The house is located near the Pole Creek golf course, and the views of Sheep Mountain in Indian Peeks were breathtaking. We found everything as described on the website and the check in process went smoothly. The house was very clean and spacious and we loved the rustic decor. The kitchen was fully equipped and allowed us to prepare all of our meals. We also enjoyed using the hot tub which was a great way to relax after a day on the course. Overall, we had a great experience with Winter Park Escapes and would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable and scenic vacation rental. We had a family trip out to Winter Park and this house from Winter Park Escapes was perfect for us. There's plenty of beds for 6 people, 3 bathrooms, a hot tub on the rooftop, and best of all, walking distance to downtown Winter Park. The shuttle is literally down the street. I booked a vacation for myself and ~9 family members to stay at one of their properties on Memorial Day weekend approximately four months beforehand. One month before we to check in, they tell me they have sold the property. They didn't even call me, just an email saying I need to call them or they will cancel my booking. No offer of discount, not even an apology, but they do tell me that I will be responsible for any difference in price now that I am trying to book a holiday weekend for 10 people one month away. Pretty ridiculous considering if I were to cancel on them, I'd be responsible for my booking in full. This cabin was very cozy! With a full kitchen with just about anything we needed and a washer and dryer as well! The hot tub was the cherry on top! Very convenient and well maintained. The bed was comfortable and having a nice big tv to fall asleep to was also a plus! You could easily fit 5-6 people in this cabin, comfortably! Lakota Northwoods Luxury Villa #308 This is true luxury and the view is amazing, the unit was very spacious and provides plenty of room for everyone to spread out or get together to enjoy dinner or games. The place is very new and still needs a few things to make it efficiently accommodate a Ski Adventure. There is not a single drawer for Clothes in any of the Bedrooms so plan on living out of your suitcase. There are only 6 hooks and 1 bench inside the unit to store jackets, helmets, ski boots or ski's. Plenty of Garage space that has not been set up for removing gear, huge waste. Pay close attention to your charges as Winter Park Escapes sneaks in a 3% credit card fee on both payments without indication, that cost can be significant during the Holiday Season. Additionally, the hot tub is considered unclean if there is any foam, so be sure to take a picture of the tub running prior to getting in as Winter Park Escapes will charge you for "excessive" cleaning if there is any foam. We had to beg them to come out and Clean the Hot Tub during our stay and it did not fix the issue, then Winter Park charged us, terrible. Avoid Winter Park Escapes if at all possible they are more interested in over charging you than providing a good service. The "$500 a day" in extra adventure value is worthless and many of the local establishments laugh at the notion that anyone would find any value. Unfortunately, Winter Park Escapes ruined a great week at Winter Park. Beware of this company. I booked a vacation rental in Winter Park, through Winter Park Escapes. I paid the deposit and signed the rental agreement. Three WEEKS later, they reach out and advise that there was a glitch in their system, and the price was wrong, therefore, they were cancelling my reservation. When I called to ask how does that happen when I have a signed rental agreement, I got no answer other than it was a glitch. I also advised I would be writing a review to let others know about this unprofessional and shady practice and was told by the property manager that my review would be taken down, and sure enough it was the next day. Luxury loft #17 was a nice space to stay. Issues with this unit is that it faces US highway 40 and is very noisy with all of the traffic, particularly in the summer when we wanted the windows open as there is no air conditioning. Also note that there is no elevator and it is 25 steps up to the unit, and another 21 steps between the kitchen/living area and the bedrooms and bathrooms on the second level. The cleaning and maintenance fee are high for a short stay. read more

Love Winter Park but will stay elsewhere than the "Luxury" condos on ski Idlewild. Just pick a different place! Family of four Couldn't get in when we were supposed to at 4pm after driving 12 hours because they hadn't cleaned it yet , blood all over the front porch, cigarettes all over, weed gummies left for children to find, leaking water from ceiling in multiple placed that kids slipped and fell from, grill unusable from the last guests, fire pit unusable until they delivered a gas key. Ended up leaved a full day early because of all the issues. And all they say is we will credit $150 which is half of the cleaning fee. Completely unacceptable and sad for the people that own these 4 story condos. $6800 for 5 days! Never again! read more

We had a similar experience as H T. did, in that once our issues were brought to Logan's attention, he became very hostile and offered zero support. I brought our issues to his attention immediately following our rental, and he responded in a horrible way and took no responsibility. We had broken furniture, unexpected expenses, VERY deceptive advertising (free parking, ski in/out, sleeps 8), and his final statement was that "our business is concluded. I will not be returning your call. Please cease further communications." I have everything documented with pictures and all communications saved. I was very polite in my feedback and requests. Logan was not. We will never do business with Winter Park Escapes, ESPECIALLY related to managing our properties. I booked a condo with Winter Escapes and received a confirmation number. So I proceeded to book the rest of my ski trip (ski rentals, lift tickets, etc..). Four days later Winter Park Escapes canceled my reservation and claims to have refunded my money. I called to ask why and they stated that the owners of the property wanted to property for the same dates that I have already booked. They said that there was nothing they could do to help me as all other properties are booked during the requested dates. I am now out of a place to stay for our family vacation and must cancel all other purchases and hope to get my money back. I will never book through this company again. I suggest to those that do chose to book with Winter Park Escapes to be prepared to have your reservation canceled at any moment. I have never had this happen to us before. Very upsetting. read more

Day 1 we arrive and immediately our internet doesn't work and the sump pump alarm is going off which happens to be in one of our guests bedroom. A sump pump is a pump used to ensure sewage and other liquids don't back up and flood the basement. We are very understanding people so we call maintenance to get our issues resolved. Little did I know, our nightmare begins. Maintenance comes out that night and mentions they will have a plumber and comcast come back out tomorrow. The next day Comcast comes out and resolves the issue. The plumber however was never called. I call maintenance again because the sump pump alarm is continuously going off, no one can sleep properly or have any peace. They have another maintenance member come back out. Once again they mention they need a plumber (no shit). They get a plumber to show up later in the night which is whatever, I just want this problem solved so our sewage doesn't back up and that damn alarm will stop going off. The plumber tells us that the problem is not good, they don't have tools to fix the issue and they need another plumber with tools to jet the lines. The plumber told us to use minimal water until the plumber can come back out tomorrow. He seemed very concerned of the situation. That night, no one showers or uses any water except to use the restroom. That wasn't good enough. The sewage starts back flowing into our guests bedroom. The next day the basement containing 2 bedrooms completely reek of sewage. No one can shower or use the restroom now. All of us have to leave since it's completely inhabitable. It's 4:00pm now and I still haven't heard anything from maintenance so I call them repetitively trying to figure out wtf we are gonna do. Their operations manager finally gets back to me and says they can't get a plumber with the necessary tools. I ask him wtf we are supposed to do because the whole place reeks of sewage and can't access toilets or shower. He tries to tell us that we can use the main floor and basement level 1 and just not basement level 2. This is complete fucking bs. Considering we know for a fact the bottom 2 floors go back to that sump pump. The bottom 2 floors also contain ALL showers and all toilets except 1. Not to mention the bottoms floors reek like literal sewage and people would have to move onto the floor and couches yet again. We deemed it was no longer safe to stay there and moved out EARLY since they had no other units nearby we could stay at. Winter Park Escapes later tried to refund 25% of our stay which we laugh at. They all managers discussed and settled on refunding 33% since "only 1/3 of the unit was inoperable" ARE YOU SERIOUS? How would you like to stay in a home with an alarm going off 24/7, not able to use any water, and a "luxury" cabin that smells like an outhouse so bad that you have to leave!? I get shit happens but why does it have to come out of my wallet!? read more

The home was beautiful and the property manager John was very helpful in response to a concern over a gas leak. I would return based only on these things. I will not be back ever because; The reservation interaction with Booking was very disconnected I received over 16 emails and phone calls from both booking and winter park escape that contradicted each other, and my card was charged upon reservation months in advance ( different from the advertising) the reservation that I made. I did attempt a few returning phone calls (outside of office hours) and left one message that was not received. I had a brief conversation with April who left me feeling like I was definitely doing something wrong and lucky to be there. With over half the street still under construction and buildings so close you literally are on display for anyone to see in, I felt so uncomfortable that I just left at 4am, But not before completing the long built point cleaning and required check out list. Kind felt like I was paying $1000 to intrude in someone's home. Sorry I just wish it would have been a bit more relaxing than; do this, do that situation, Plus that was expensive for winter park. read more

I had a nice time using Winter Park Escapes for our stay at Fraser Crossing at Winter Park. They sent very informative emails that were timely and detailed. The price was cheaper than going with AirBnB or VRBO. The parking, keyless entry, and ski lockers all worked without issue. The only thing I'd change is I called 48 hours in advance to request an early check in and they said that wasn't possible, and check in was at 4pm. I would have liked a little more negotiation on the check in, since 4pm is pretty late, but I understand in ski season that turnover on ski condos can be time consuming. It was really nice that we had access to the parking garage the whole day of our stay though, so some of us did go skiing while we waited. Fraser Crossing is also a very nice condo building, and the hot tub, appliances, and snow shoveling made our stay very comfortable. read more

If I had the ability to leave a zero star review of this organization, i would. My experience was unfortunately very similar to two others as I'm reading through the reviews. My family stayed at a lovely property in Winter Park for the weekend to relax and enjoy the beginning of the Fall weather and Aspens changing. I found the property on VRBO and called direct https://www.vrbo.com/3165138ha?noDates=true. We spoke with Logan Lima who on the front end was pleasant and easy to work with. This changed drastically once we discovered the heat was not working in our condo when we showed up. I wish that i had booked through VRBO so i could leave a reviews there as well, maybe the condo owner would see it. The condo is lovely but there were issues. When we arrived the heat wasn't working. My boys are 3 and 6 and the temps were getting into the 30s at night...COLD! There were other issues. The shower had a leak and sprayed water out of the top of the head all over the bathroom. We fixed by throwing a towel over it. The wifi worked the first night, but was out the next two days. This was extremely inconvenient as we had to work during our stay and had to camp out at coffee shops. The ice maker never worked either. We made due and enjoyed our time, but the constant run around from the call center, miss-communication, lack of decision making, utter inability to get things fixed or have straight answers was extremely troublesome for a unit that bills itself as luxury. These were normal (somewhat) issues that could have been addressed in a professional quick manner and all would have been resolved. Instead the Winter Park Escapes team proved to be more of a call center with no ability to make real time decisions or have any insight into what may be going on in the unit. They have limited management on weekends and we never got a call back from a manager the entire stay, although we were continually told they would call us. Still have not. We did however receive a series of hostile emails from Logan stating our family is never allowed and banned from staying at the Escape properties. I've honestly never seen a situation as simple as this escalated due to a complete lack of professionalism. The team continually over promised and under delivered. It is a shame for the owner as we were up looking for a condo to use over the ski season. Instead of having a relaxing weekend in a nice condo, we had a stressful weekend in a condo where basic services didn't work. The website and advertising promotes this condo as a luxury condo and experience, but it's far from this. Logan Lima is unprofessional and the root of the majority of the issues in my mind as the 24 hour staff was nice and empathetic, but unable to provide much help. read more

All n all, it was a lovely vacation spot. Clean, nicely decorated, nice neighbors. The only critic would be that we reserved for 8 guests and they only had 4 towels in all the bathrooms. When we called management it took some time to get the towels delivered, which made us late to the music festivals. So I would say bring extra towel with you. read more

Condo was clean, completely updated and so close to all the action that is at Winter Park and has a view as well. Logan is such a great host! Very responsive and accommodating. The location of the condo, in the resort and minutes from the lifts was great. However, it is not ski in ski out, as in put your gear on and you are on the slopes, as it is advertised. This unit was different as there was access from the street via outside stairs to the entrance. The alternative was to go in the main entrance to take an elevator up to the second floor parking garage and go through the garage to a door that is right outside the condo. Going back that way to either ski lockers or hot tub required a 13 digit code to get back into the garage, which is real fun to get wrong standing in a bathing suit in below freezing weather! The condo is street side of the main road through the resort and it tends to be noisy with trucks and plows early in the morning (5-7 AM). Not sure if condos further back were as noisy. The condo was comfortable for our party of four, plenty of space, bathrooms were good. Kitchen was adequate, not a chefs kitchen by any means, we did a lot of cooking during our weeks stay. There must have been an issue with glassware in the past as we were supplied with four small glasses and a few plastic cups. The internet was spotty most of the time. There was a TV with apps such as Netflix, we were unable to access them as it was not set up for internet access. When inquiring about this we were given the WiFi access code which was neither helpful nor an answer to the issue. The biggest issue was the heating system in the master bedroom. We listened to a mechanical electric sound coming from the base boards. It was loud and occurred about every 30 seconds to a minute and was constant. Needless to say, it was annoying to listen to and made sleeping less than restful. There was no issue of this sound in the living room or the second bedroom. We inquired about the issue and were told it would not be fixed during our stay of 8 nights. Pretty disappointing. These may seem like first world problems but this was a supposed to be a first world vacation in a nice condo. I would certainly hope that the owners or management will take these issues seriously for the next renters. read more

My fiance and I first called to make a reservation through Winterparkescapes... and were told that both my fiance and I were to receive two $250 voucher's to participate in select activities offered daily. We decided to invest because that would be a perfect experience on our honeymoon. We called in to schedule an activity a few weeks later and were told it was $250 for one and we would have to purchase an event for my fiance. I told them I would call back after we discussed it. The property we booked, 130 Discovery Dr in Winter Park, was exceptional. It was clean with plenty of space and storage. We could even park in the garage. Lots of what you'll need is already there to include Laundry detergent, coffee, condiments, paper towels, etc... The view was great, and it had 3 stories. We had no problems with checkin. It's very convenient to town and the slopes. Why didnt I give 5 stars you might ask. 2 reasons: The touchscreen door lock was very sensitive. You had to touch the screen just right for it to come on. Kind of a pain if you're cold with your hands full. Reason #2. I paid for the property about 3 weeks in advance in full. About 3 days before we were to arrive, I get an email from Logan saying there has been a problem with my credit card. I freaked and called Chase. Chase confirmed the charge went through 3 weeks prior. I then called Winter Escapes. The person I spoke to said she saw the note on my account and didnt understand it. She said she was in reservations and Billing would need to help. She couldn't connect me but said Logan would call me back. Nope, never got a call back. Luckily all was fine upon arrival, but the email and then no response was frustrating. Overall, property was great. Maybe just tighten up on processes and customer service. read more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE- DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Not only were there several housekeeping items that were incomplete prior to our arrival, but we had a very jarring experience with unannounced workers entering our unit while it was occupied which resulted in a frantic 911 call and a frightening experience for our entire party. Kyle the manager was the most unprofessional individual I have encountered in the hospitality industry. He refused to validate our experience or compensate us in any way. He belittled and ridiculed my family, accused me at being "good at getting free vacations" and essentially ruined our entire stay. We paid $2500 for two nights stay and were treated extremely poorly. I have reached out to the owner of Winter Park Escapes repeatedly about our experience with absolutely no reply from him, and judging by the other reviews, it's obvious that he doesn't care about his guests' experiences or if his staff is completely rude and incompetent. This company claims to be a "luxury vacation experience" but grossly overcharges and underdelivers. Their customer service is appalling and unprofessional, and they have no business being in the hospitality industry. There are plenty of other options out there for vacation rentals, so if you are thinking of renting from Winter Park Escapes, please reconsider before giving this company your money! read more

This is a really nice house. It's clean, new, tastefully-decorated and well appointed. The location was great. Check in was easy. The only complaint is management response. The hot tub was 80 degrees when we arrived, which was unfortunate because we wanted to use it the first day and it took 24 hours to heat up. We started heating in the dark because there is no light outside near the hot tub. The following afternoon, after skiing all day, we went to use the hot tub and it was gross. The water was murky and low, and not useable. I told management, but they said they would be sending someone after we checked out. I asked for a credit and never got a response at all. So, assuming all is fine at check-in, you'll be happy. But, if you have any issues, I'm not sure they really care or will try to fix them. I would say it was not worth all the money due to lack of customer service. read more

We recently booked a property in Winter Park, CO through Winter Park Escapes. The condo was in a total state of disrepair. We had to call maintenance 5 times. They offered us a 1/2 of one day refund. NEVER use them to book lodging. Here are all the things wrong; - Broken dishwasher - third floor shower door wouldn't close - drapes in master were falling down - didn't smell clean, let alone Covid sanitized - TVs were missing in both third floor bedrooms, which we found in garage and had to install ourselves - master bath sink faucet fell off - hot tub didn't have enough water in it - kitchen sink faucet missing part to switch from stream to spray - ice maker barely works - heat was turned off in master so froze first night - right front burner on stove didn't work - This one is huge! Granddaughter was taking bath in master jacuzzi when it just came on by itself! She was screaming and water was shooting everywhere ! If her hair had been near the intake when this happened, she would have drowned. Maintenance man confirmed faulty switch. read more

Half of our two-night stay at a Winter Park Escapes managed cabin in Granby, CO, was very cold because the heater on the first floor was broken, rendering the living room, kitchen, and first floor bedroom devoid of heat (the thermostat said 62 degrees, but it felt colder). The lack of heat on the first floor forced us to crowd upstairs, with most of us sitting on the floor to spend time together. We also didn't use the hot tub the first day, since we were worried about being able to warm back up once wet. I reported the issue within a couple hours of check-in, but the handy man who showed up to address the problem tried to convince me that it was just the design of the house that caused it to be so cold. This was not the case because the heat was functioning the second day after someone came a second time. On the first day, no temporary fix was offered, such as extra space heaters, blankets, or an alternative house with functional heating, despite my respectful insistence that this was not a tolerable situation. So we spent the first day and night wearing our winter coats while cooking and eating meals in dining room, and, for those in the first floor bedroom, to bed. Regarding the Winter Park Escapes/Xplorie vacation activity planning, I left Logan Lima a voicemail and sent him an email one month in advance of my trip requesting help planning activities and obtaining discounts, such as those advertised on the VRBO rental page and the Winter Park Escapes/Xplorie website. After not hearing back, I then called the 800 number and was told that someone would call me back. No one ever got back to me. Communication with Winter Park Escapes was generally poor, as we were also never informed when or if anyone was coming by to address the heater issue, and no one ever called me to follow-up to see if everything was ok once they fixed it. Upon emailing Logan Lima to politely ask for a partial refund for the night without heat, he replied with an email containing a series of baseless accusations, all of which were second-hand and inaccurate. At the end of his ranting, condescending email, he offered $75 in compensation for the broken heater. There were also several smaller issues: there were no dishtowels, all the outlets in the living room were out when we first arrived, the walkway to the front door was icy and not salted, and the kids' loft had a single, twin, foam pad with no sheets or pillow (when advertised as a "Kids bedroom in upper loft/Den with 2 twin bed cushions"). Won't be going to any Winter Park Escapes properties again. read more

We had no problem finding the condo. We did have trouble getting into the condo though. After calling the customer service number we were able to get the code reset and get into the condo. The condo was very nice. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows were a little hard for us. There were a ton of pillows, but all of them were a bit firm for our family. I realize that is a personal preference. The hot tub was great and the location was perfect! The fireplace is very high tech and it started beeping and did not stop despite us turning it off. Contacted the management again and they sent a technician out and he resolved the beeping by bypassing the technology and a manual turn on and off of the fireplace. Worked great for us. Great communication and stay despite a couple of hiccups. read more

We stayed at Hideaway Station #14. So, the reason for any stars is the location was excellent. Right in town and next door to a wonderful grocery store. Parking was free and access to the building was super easy. Heated floors and a beautiful kitchen and fireplace .The big downside was the sleeping/upstairs area. We have three kids and two adults. The beds were queens--Okay can deal with that but NO tv's in the bedroom was the first bummer. The bedrooms were so tiny the queen beds took up almost the entire rooms. The next thing was that the twin bunkbeds were un-sleepable. They were home-made by some company, not made to be beds. They are plywood shelves basically with a ladder in a bad location in the hallway. The bunks had extremely hard mattresses, were hard to get to, the top bunk was incredibly high up and you had to be a contortionist to get up or down due to the proximity to the ceiling and the ladder. My kids ended up sleeping on the sleeper sofa together downstairs. That itself was a nightmare because the fireplace was determined to keep coming on and off. The kitchen was not stocked with much besides baby stuff--they had enough bibs and plastic spoons and dog bowls (?) but only very basic utensils and a few pots. No pot holders and one kitchen towel. The bathrooms were basic. No water pressure. Provided luxury organic" shampoos were enough for one person for one shower. The advertised perks didn't turn out at all what they seemed--there were no snowboards left for us to get for free, the community center was full of extra charges for different rooms such as the trampoline area, and the sleigh rides were booked weeks ahead of time. We tried to contact Winter Park Escapes a few times during our stay by email and phone and no answer back--everything was automated we couldn't reach a person. We first thought it was because it was Christmas week but seeing as it is the busiest and most expensive week of the year someone should have answered us back. Judging from the other reviews they do not take care of their vacationers. For almost 6K per week (yes we were there during high season) I think we could definitely have done better. I tried to not complain too much around the kids but I won't be booking again with this agency due to false advertising. There is NO WAY this place sleeps 8, let alone 5!!! read more

We loved the property - it was beautiful (Rendezvous Luxury Chalet in Fraser) - well appointed kitchen, gorgeous views, hot tub, modern amenities. We left it cleaner than we found it, followed all the rules and were prompt in all our communication. Our review for using the property, however, was not as expected - all our reviews on air bnb have been very positive; this was only satisfactory. We made very effort to discover the logic behind our review but could not. After multiple (6+) phone calls leaving messages for the manager, Logan Lima, and an explanatory email that we know was received via a return receipt, we have no other option but to regretfully say that our rating of WinterParkEscapes (NOT the property) is only a "1" since "0" is not available. read more
