We live in Seattle so planning an event remotely can be challenging, but Rebecca made it very easy for us with her excellent communication and great recommendations for party rentals and bartenders. Day of the event we were able to gain access to the space with plenty of time to set up and be prepared for our guest. We had a Studio staff member on site during our event for any support we needed - she was great! Plenty of parking for guest and a quick Uber (10 min from our hotel). I highly recommend The Studio for an event. We would definitely consider it for another party.

We also used candles in hurricane containers which I also recommend as it gave the event a bit of magic. One thing to keep in mind is that if you are doing a week day event, you cannot get in to do decorating until 4:30p since this is a place of work. It did make our start time of 6p a little tight. We had the event catered but used disposable/compostable products. The kitchen area is open and perfect for a buffet. We also arranged for a Sweet Cow ice cream truck to come for dessert, which was a big hit and fun way to end the evening. I would do another party there given the chance.

It was love at first sight. Cheryl gave us the tour at Blackstone Rivers Ranch, she has a beautiful soul as did everyone who works for this venue. Each one of them were so kind and helpful. This venue has years of experience and a preferred list of vendors that make this process much easier and more relaxed as they work so well together (and as a bride you feel comfortable and confident that everything will go well). This is very important working as a team to create such a special day for two people. None of our family or invited friends knew about this place. We had guests from Minnesota, Mexico, California, Spain, Colombia, Panama, and other countries. We knew that they were making a huge sacrifice to be here on our special day. The time for the wedding arrived and when our guests arrived at Blackstone Rivers Ranch they were stunned and delighted, our guests did not stop commenting that it was the most beautiful and fun wedding they have ever been to. We had compliments about the venue, catering, DJ, coordinator, photographer, EVERYTHING from our guests. As a bride I was afraid of having the same problem as the other brides, who always had some complaint or something that did not go the way they wanted on their special day, BUT NO I was not one of those brides (YAY)! My wedding was the best and the most perfect thanks to Blackstone Rivers Ranch and their list of preferred vendors. Without the help of BRR my wedding would not have been possible to plan as perfectly. Every penny invested in this wedding was worth it to the fullest. My husband and I are more than sure that it was the best decision we have ever made in having a big wedding with 100 guests and not a small wedding with only 15 or 20 guests. My guests fell in love with our wedding and the venue and they couldn't stop talking about it. They all told us that it was worth the sacrifice they made to travel from far away to experience the beautiful views of the mountains and the river at the venue, the big and beautiful white tent. Everything from the pre-planning (many emails back and forth from CA) to the clean-up went without a hitch. The venue provided everything including a stage with speakers and microphone, upgraded full bar and awesome bartender, tables and chairs with linen, a delicious taco bar with the chef interacting with our guests for the first 2 hours, staff that worked behind the scenes and kept everything clean, tidy and running smoothly. When I asked about a cake Chef John said he could do that as well. We're still talking about the strawberries and cream cake he made which included Neufchâtel cheese in the frosting. The venue has beautiful hardwood floors, large windows, and a door to the outside patio, right on the river. We were able to hang decorations and we're asked often if we needed anything, any help. Leanne Jewell is the event manager and she took great care of us. When we originally booked the venue the plan was to have it mostly outside with 30 people. Just days before it became apparent we would possibly have snow or rain and 50 people. Leanne reassured me not to worry, they would move the party indoors if needed. Planning everything from another state had me a bit frazzled but I can assure you they know what they are doing. I was so impressed. Thank you Riverside Events, we had a fantastic time.

We catered in our own food and served dinner to a group of 25 people. I cannot express how pleased I was/am with the Arvada Community Room. It was everything we needed and the cost was more than fair. The owners were amazing to work with, and they were easily accessible for communication. IF I had to find anything negative to say it is not about the Arvada Community Room itself, but more the City of Arvada and it's small amount of public parking in the area that they have built as a heavy entertainment area. Most of the parking is street parking and a small public parking lot that is usually pretty full. There is a parking garage about a block away that is easily accessible though. Again that is not a a dig on the Arvada Community Room but rather frustration with the city for their lack of planning.
