My wife and I enjoyed every moment at Dove Inn, which I'll describe as Victorian charm meets contemporary style and convenience. Every little detail of the Dove Inn is carefully thought through incl. the booking, breakfast logistics, and the "make your own" coffee station off the kitchen, which had a "how to" video and three different freshly roasted coffee bean selections. I've never made my own coffee from scratch before, but I did at the Dove Inn and it was pretty cool. Additionally, the Dove Inn's location is half a block from Golden's main downtown strip (Washington Ave) and across the street from a lovely Thai restaurant that my wife and I adored, Thai Gold. The best words to describe Dove Inn are "boutique", "one-of-a-kind", and "charming." My wife and I will be back.

My fiancé and I really enjoyed our stay! It's was such a seamless and welcoming check-in and check-out. Access to the kitchen really made the place feel like home. We LOVED the deep, soaking, stand-alone tub! The chase/couch was extremely comfy and the bath towels by Comphy were superb. It's also very conveniently located. Our recommendations: Softer tissue and updated carpet would help. Aside from that, a superb experience!

Where to begin...? We LOVED our stay at the Dove Inn! I've stayed at many bed and breakfasts over the years, and I can honestly say that staying here tops the list of my fav b&bs! I loved the keyless entry concept. When our room was ready, we received a text and an email with a code to the front door, as well as a code to our room. Such an easy process! Upon entering, our room looked and smelled fresh and clean. The decor was spot on with the vibe of the inn. My bf and I were thrilled with our room, and we kept commenting on how much we want to have a bathroom like the one in the Serenity Suite! The toiletry items provided felt of high quality, and I was very excited about the complimentary bath bomb placed near the bathtub! (I used to work in an all-natural bath and soap store, and this bath bomb was LEGIT.) The bed was soooo comfy, and the sheets were so soft! The Serenity Suite is at the back of the inn, so it was incredibly quiet and peaceful... Just what we were looking for! The breakfast downstairs is self-serve, which is nice in a sense that you don't HAVE to be downstairs at a certain time. There's yogurt, granola, almond milk and such in the fridge, and you can make yourself some toast and jam or almond butter. My bf is a coffee connoisseur, so he was pumped about all the coffee options available to make. I was all about the tea. Plus, there's cold brew and kombucha on tap. Also, there are pastries on the counter that are provided by Cafe 13, a local spot around the corner from the inn. (The apple cinnamon one is delicious!) The only tricky part is the parking, but it is what it is for the location, haha! There's 2 hour parking out front and free parking on 14th St between Ford and Jackson, I think. Also, there's a parking garage around the corner on Jackson. All in all, we were VERY happy with our stay! Before we left we were even talking about how we can't wait to stay there again! I'll miss everything about this place...til next time, Dove Inn!

I absolutely love this boutique inn! It was so easy to self-check in and out. The lobby is so homey and they have everything you need to make coffee, tea or to have a snack. We stayed in the Queen Anne Suite. I love how it is decorated and that there is a comfy couch where you could relax and read. On top of all this, Dove Inn is located in the heart of Golden. There are so many great restaurants and bars to walk to. The creek is so pretty and is so fun to walk/bike/tube around there. It's also a great location to drive to red rocks or Denver! I highly recommend it.

Such a cozy and amazing place! The location can't be beat. We were able to walk through the restaurants and shops conveniently in downtown Golden, and it was a very short walk back to the inn. Our room - the Shakespeare Room - was accessed on the outside of the main house and included a cute patio with table. The main house has a community kitchen that was super clean and stocked with waters, yogurts, juice, cold brew, and you can grind your own coffee. The door locks are automated - you get your door code and the main house door code emailed to you prior to arrival. It made everything very easy and simple. We would definitely stay here again.

I will never not stay here when I'm visiting Golden. The MOST gracious owners and staff, generous kitchen offerings (like, kombucha draft and fresh fruits and cheeses available to you all of the time) and beautiful rooms and furnishings. It's literally at the center of all of Golden, so no need to drive anywhere. Sigh, take me back. I hereby submit my proposal for the Fosters to adopt me and let me live in the Serenity Room.

The perfect spot for our small wedding! We feel very fortunate to have stumbled upon The Dove Inn. Ashley was most helpful. She gave us a tour of the facilities and each room. The kitchen is top notch and the fireplace in the living room made for a great altar. Renting the entire inn for the night was an easy decision and it worked out beautifully for our friends and family. Everyone raved about their rooms and the proximity to our dinner spot downtown was super convenient. Thank you for helping to make our wedding awesome!

I'm a Denver resident who has been to Golden many times but I don't feel like I'd truly "been" to Golden until my staycation at The Dove Inn. The keyless entry made me feel right at home and the proximity to downtown Golden lit my extroverted, wanderlusty heart right up! The decor, atmosphere and attention to detail coupled with the intimacy/coziness set this boutique hotel apart for me. I was completely charmed by my short stay and definitely plan to escape here more often.

I wanted to surprise my wife with a special trip for our 10th anniversary. After lots of searching I came upon the Dove Inn in Golden. Its ratings were very high, and I had luckily began my planning months ahead, so I had my choice of rooms. Since it was a very special anniversary, I opted for the nicest room they had: The Aspen Suite. It's a large room with a decent bathroom that included a jacuzzi tub in the room. The innkeeper at the time, Elizabeth, was very knowledgeable about the home's storied history and sat with us a few times and talked about various parts of how she had found the home and the restoration she'd done. It's my understanding there are new innkeepers that took over shortly after our departure. Can't wait to see what they do since it looks like there is a lot of construction going on. The breakfasts were really great for our two night stay. The first breakfast was a french toast, and the second one was a egg casserole with potatoes inside. It wasn't trying to be too fancy, and it was just right. One of the best breakfasts we've had at a B and B. There were small refrigerators throughout where you could store snacks and leftovers. There are always snacks downstairs too, like homemade cookies, or candy bars. The stairs to the second floor are quite steep, but that's part of the charm. We did get a chance to wander through the other rooms before the evening of our second night, and they are all quite cute and have their own charm. The location is quite nice, just on the outskirts of town, and within walking distance to everything. That's part of the charm here. Parking is on street, but it's not too difficult to find a spot, and if you want, wait until the evening then you can park even closer.

I've stayed at boutique inns all around the world, and the Dove Inn is absolutely one of my favorites! Located just a couple blocks from the shops and restaurants of downtown Golden, the inn is charming, comfortable, and stylish. It was recently remodeled to incorporate modern amenities (I loved the sleek kitchen, as well as the nitro cold brew and kombucha on tap!!) while still retaining a classic Victorian feel through eclectic antiques. But it's the little details that truly made the Dove Inn feel like home. The freestanding soaking tubs (and lavender bath bombs!), fresh macaroons and chocolates, and design elements like rustic shiplap, Edison bulbs, and subway tile felt luxurious. Also, there's WiFi and TVs outfitted with Rokus, so you have enough creature comforts to want to kick back and stay awhile. In fact, my husband and I loved our visit so much that we returned to celebrate our anniversary! If you're planning to visit Golden, or if you just want a quick getaway, I highly recommend the Dove Inn! We can't wait to return a third time!

If you are looking for a charming inn with excellent amenities in an amazing location between the city and the mountains, this is the spot. We had such a fun time on this Colorado staycation. We slept well, drank delicious coffee, took advantage of the kombucha and pastries for breakfast and never wanted to leave! Plus the check in and check out processes were so easy and the staff so lovely!

While it was very warm, we didn't use the fireplace but it is a nice feature, especially if you stayed in winter months. The room was clean and comfortable and well appointed. There were 2 TV's.
