The hotel itself is right in the heart of downtown Golden so you can walk to everything, which is a huge plus. There's a big restaurant and bar right in the hotel that makes it easy to grab food or a drink without leaving, and valet service made getting in and out simple. Overall just a clean, comfortable place to stay with a great location if you want to be right in the middle of town

We had been to Golden in the past but never stayed there. We wanted to stay in downtown Golden as we were also going to attend a concert the same night at the Buffalo Rose. The Table Mountain Inn is literally a couple of blocks away so it was an easy choice. The hotel is decorated in a Southwest motif. We stayed in the Navajo Junior Suite which was quite large and included an outdoor balcony and a gas fireplace. From the balcony we had a nice view of Table Mountain and the Coors brewing factory which was amusing as Coors Light is my husband's favorite beer. While it was very warm, we didn't use the fireplace but it is a nice feature, especially if you stayed in winter months. The room was clean and comfortable and well appointed. There were 2 TV's. One in the living room and one in the bedroom which was nice. All staff we encountered were very friendly and wished us "Happy Anniversary." If we ever want to spend some more time in Golden, I would gladly stay here again.

Here are just a few of the small details I love: -bathroom has a nightlight -the room has an illuminated alarm clock -large desk with a chair plus a couch -so many spots to place your luggage/belongings -QR code you can scan to tip housekeeping -big old bowl of Andes chocolate mints in the lobby for guests -semi decent free breakfast -You're right next to Colorado Mills Mall, so plenty of food options All of these things just add up to a pleasant, comfortable stay. The room was spacious, clean, and well laid-out--ample space for both sleeping and working, which was helpful. The bed was comfortable, linens crisp, and the bathroom fresh and well-maintained. One of the highlights: the complimentary breakfast was solid--hot and cold items, good variety, and consistently replenished. The hotel also has convenient amenities (free WiFi, a fitness area, etc.) that made the stay smooth. The location is convenient for local shopping, dining and easy access to major thoroughfares. Minor nit-picks: parking was slightly crowded during peak hours and although the décor is modern and pleasant, there were a couple of older touches showing wear. That said, these didn't detract from the overall quality of the stay. Would definitely stay here again if I'm back in the area--and recommend it for anyone looking for a modern, reliable hotel with strong amenities.

Don't skip Cliff House if you're planning on a Red Rocks show. The location, amenities, staff and…read moreother offerings really added so much to my first time in Morrison. This isn't a super nice or updated space, but we had everything we needed for our mixed bag of early 30s friends. My friends and I stayed in the Stone St. cottage, which is heavily Grateful Dead/psychedelic/ classic rock themed. The room is listed as sleeping 3, which we did on night one, but easily slept 4 on night 2. The grounds were so charming and eclectic. The cottage we were in was a little wonky and slanted on the floor, but the rooms were clean, the shower worked great and we had more than what we needed. We checked in super late in the darkness so we didn't get to experience a normal front desk check in, which I'm sure would brief us on procedures like pre-ordering breakfast the night before, but the staff was so accommodating when we showed up hungry and ordered bacon, eggs and potatoes in the AM. Mary was the cook and she was rad, quick witted and whipped up a lovely home cooked breakfast. There are 2 dogs (that we met) on site names Shokti (gorg white husky queen) and Mr. Dog (precious, hilarious chihuahua businessman) and we loved to pet and visit with them while in the main lodge. That space is incredible: kitschy, eclectic, trippy and warm, just like our whole stay! I could go on forever about how adult-summer-camp-esque the grounds were! Every cottage is themed, though we only entered ours. The covered hot tub was a crucial touch for our group in the crisp 50 degree weather to take a morning dip and unwind after the show. I'm unsure if all cottages come with hot tubs so definitely confirm if that's something you're interested in. The walkability to all the necessities and some breweries/ eateries was appealing when we had time to kill. Cliff House offers a shuttle to and from Red Rocks for a fixed price per rider. The shuttle to the venue leaves 15 minutes prior to doors which was a little late for us, so we opted to take the shuttle back and it was a highlight of the trip. Brook's organized the shuttle, sent us incredibly detailed instructions on where/ how to find her in a short, yellow school bus. I especially appreciate the details because we had been drinking etc and needed the depth of care taken to make sure we found her! The bus was stocked with beverages and we played music and just bopped down the hill, laughing our butts off. This was such a fun stay for us and it was thanks to the grounds, location, home cooked breakfast and tea in the lodge, Mary, Brooks, Shokti and Mr. Dog. I will recommend to anyone I know traveling that way!

Tip: Call to reserve late checkout at 1:30 for $30. First come first served. Otherwise checkout is at 11 AM. It was nice to enjoy coffee in the lodge after a late night concert. Worth it to take the shuttle (mini school bus with a couch and disco balls!) for $15/person to be dropped up at the top of Red Rocks - beats the long line walking up. $25/person pick up - approx 10 min walk but it's all downhill to the party bus and seemed way safer than all the taxi drivers in your face outside of the amphitheater. Brooks is awesome and takes care of you!! We stayed in the Rose Retreat again. It's a small room, but I love the big shower and mini fridge with Brita. The window air conditioning unit kept the place nice and cool with it being 95° outside. Private hot tub and robes in the closet. Breakfast is included. Order at check-in and enjoy the next morning. There is also fruit, bagels, coffee and tea, with alternative milk available. Bottomless mimosas available for a cost. We enjoyed a nice chess game with coffee after a delicious breakfast. Can't wait for the next visit!

Loved our drinks. The blueberry manhattan was delicious. * Free beer with token upon check in was nice. Hydration is key. * Room was simple but had nice touches. Liked the motion sensor for the bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Water in the room. * Full coffee bar on the room floor when you get off elevator. * Didn't get to use at night but the rooftop areas looked nice. At least in the morning for coffee they were * Fancy cupcakes and bubbly in the fridge was a nice surprise. The hand written welcome note was a nice touch. * Included continental breakfast had a decent breakfast burrito, parfaits, waffles and cereals. * free easy to connect WiFi * Again, last minute Sunday. Checked their site for rooms and one available, booked a corner room. The hotel called a couple hours later and said there was a mistake, I really thought they were going to tell me they had no rooms. Just has a different room, that was a bit cheaper. I think the lady calling was thinking we would be mad, it was all good. They handled it great. Can't really think of anything that needed to better- loved it and will stay again.

    Origin Hotel Red Rocks

The TLDR: Extremely Disappointing Stay - Not Family-Friendly, Poor Service, and Zero Accountability…read more We were excited to stay at the Origin Hotel Red Rocks due to its proximity to the venue, but unfortunately, the experience was not worth it at all. We traveled as a group of three adults and one four-year-old, and I would highly recommend staying somewhere else--especially if you're traveling with children. Night 1 We arrived and checked in, expecting a tent and sleeping bag in our room for our 4-year-old, as advertised and included in our pre-paid package for all three nights. It was a big reason we chose this hotel. Nothing was in the room, so we called the front desk. The staff seemed confused and said they'd look into it. Eventually, someone brought up a sleeping bag--but it was dirty--and said they had no idea where the tents were. We were told to call the next morning. On top of that, the Wi-Fi wasn't working. Turns out, the TV relies on the Wi-Fi--so that didn't work either. They said they were "working on fixing it." Day/Night 2 We spent the day out and returned in the evening to find our room had not been serviced. We called the front desk and asked for housekeeping--no one ever came. When we asked again about the tent situation, we were told they gave them to a "larger family" who needed two. So once again, our 4-year-old was left disappointed. Still no Wi-Fi, no TV, and when we tried to use the in-room coffee maker--it was broken, too. Day/Night 3 We called the front desk at 9:15 a.m. to request housekeeping again, especially because our son had gotten sick and thrown up. We used towels to clean up and specifically asked for replacements, along with service for the room. We were gone from around 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., taking a day trip to Colorado Springs. When we got back? Still no service. At this point, we had made a bet that the room wouldn't be touched--and sadly, we were right. So here we are on the third and final night: * No tent * No clean towels * No working coffee maker * No Wi-Fi * No TV * No housekeeping, despite multiple direct requests My husband went down to the front desk and spoke with a staff member named Gil, who promised someone would bring towels within 30 minutes and that we should connect with Amy in the morning. They showed up 30 minutes later with towels and still none of the other issues resolved. Day 4: We woke up and went to connect with Amy and now the front desk says she won't be in until checkout and they can't do anything for us. Sooooo basically I paid for amenities I never received . This stay was unacceptable. We were charged for amenities we never received, had repeated service failures, and no accountability from the staff. I would give this place zero stars if I could.

The decor was so perfect-like modern southwestern rustic, not sure but I made notes for my own home. Bed comfy, shower hot, fire place inside the room a dream. In the room there is a mini fridge and water kettle, but just outside the room there is a sitting area and mini kitchenette with a microwave. There are a number of loungey gathering areas at the house, I think it would be perfect for a chill girls' weekend where you book out a few rooms. Everything was exactly as shown on the website and while we never met the owners in person, they were so accommodating with quick communication through text. Checking in and out was smooth. You will need to be ok with a flight of stairs to get in the front (and then down to the room if that's what you choose). The driveway is steep but the hosts put gravel on it if icy and our all wheel drive sedan did not have an issue. We spent one of our days at Breckenridge Nordic Center (loved) about an hour drive away. Don't sleep on their food offerings at JMH- we ordered a charcuterie board and wine to greet us at check in and a hikers pack lunch which we brought and ate on a break from skiing in Breck. So yummy-- The owners also put together a local recommendations manual and their recs for coffee and food in Evergreen were spot on. We would definitely choose JMH again!

The house is cozy, remote, and filled with spectacular vibes, courtesy of owners Alea and Ashley, who treat their guests like family. I booked a weekend staycation for my lady's birthday present back in November. Little did she know that I planned to propose to her here. On Friday night, I popped the question on the snowy, outdoor deck by the fire. It was perfect. She said yes, obviously! For that reason alone, Juniper Mountain House will always hold a special place in our hearts. However, let me touch on more specifics regarding the house. First things first, book online via their website if you can. You can also find them on Airbnb and other booking platforms. There are five rooms to choose from, we stayed in the Evergreen Room downstairs that has a beautiful view of the mountains. It's also worth noting that it was only a 30 minute drive from Denver! You arrive by driving up a lengthy driveway and starstruck by the most picturesque mountain home. We were greeted instantly by Alea, as she gave us the rundown and tour of the property with the house dog, Denali. Oh, they even have a hiking trail on site that leads to their wedding venue known as The Meadow. Yeah, this place is pretty damn dreamy. There are two common areas inside the house that are perfect for relaxing. Choose your adventure here by going on a hike, jumping in the hot tub, playing pool, sitting by the outdoor fire pit, or getting to know the other guests staying on site. Like any outstanding business, the people behind the scenes make it special. Ashley and Alea were a joy to talk to, so much so that they brought out a bottle of champagne when they heard about our engagement! Little touches like these, in addition to how they've thought about every minute detail of the house to make it functional and fashionable, made our stay absolutely perfect. I don't like to throw around that P word too often, but I can't think of a more perfect word to describe our experience here. Damnit, I used it again... Locals and travelers, Juniper Mountain House is a MUST.
