Great Experience! It was perfect for seeing a show at Red Rocks. We saw Yo-Yo Ma play Dvorak's Cello Concerto with the Colorado Symphony. I was a bit hesitant after reading the online reviews, but was pleasantly surprised with our overnight stay. We booked one of their premier suites, Red Rocks Suite. Situated on the 4th floor, across the hall from the Origin suite. It was clean and very spacious. I wish we could've stayed for multiple nights but unsurprisingly, this room was booked, probably for other concert goers. The only slight peeve were the barn doors for the bathroom; I understand that it is a design element that some hotels adopt, but they're not very functional and diminish privacy. Anyways, service was great. At check-in, they offered and brought up extra linens to do up the couch. They're managed by Wyndham so they do a lot of their communication through their app, even when we booked through a 3rd party. read more

Great hotel for Red Rocks concert. Dog friendly. The restaurant is $$ , and it had great Colorado beer on tap. There's a nice gas station / convenience store up the street with everything you need. The TLDR: Extremely Disappointing Stay - Not Family-Friendly, Poor Service, and Zero Accountability We were excited to stay at the Origin Hotel Red Rocks due to its proximity to the venue, but unfortunately, the experience was not worth it at all. We traveled as a group of three adults and one four-year-old, and I would highly recommend staying somewhere else--especially if you're traveling with children. Night 1 We arrived and checked in, expecting a tent and sleeping bag in our room for our 4-year-old, as advertised and included in our pre-paid package for all three nights. It was a big reason we chose this hotel. Nothing was in the room, so we called the front desk. The staff seemed confused and said they'd look into it. Eventually, someone brought up a sleeping bag--but it was dirty--and said they had no idea where the tents were. We were told to call the next morning. On top of that, the Wi-Fi wasn't working. Turns out, the TV relies on the Wi-Fi--so that didn't work either. They said they were "working on fixing it." Day/Night 2 We spent the day out and returned in the evening to find our room had not been serviced. We called the front desk and asked for housekeeping--no one ever came. When we asked again about the tent situation, we were told they gave them to a "larger family" who needed two. So once again, our 4-year-old was left disappointed. Still no Wi-Fi, no TV, and when we tried to use the in-room coffee maker--it was broken, too. Day/Night 3 We called the front desk at 9:15 a.m. to request housekeeping again, especially because our son had gotten sick and thrown up. We used towels to clean up and specifically asked for replacements, along with service for the room. We were gone from around 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., taking a day trip to Colorado Springs. When we got back? Still no service. At this point, we had made a bet that the room wouldn't be touched--and sadly, we were right. So here we are on the third and final night: * No tent * No clean towels * No working coffee maker * No Wi-Fi * No TV * No housekeeping, despite multiple direct requests My husband went down to the front desk and spoke with a staff member named Gil, who promised someone would bring towels within 30 minutes and that we should connect with Amy in the morning. They showed up 30 minutes later with towels and still none of the other issues resolved. Day 4: We woke up and went to connect with Amy and now the front desk says she won't be in until checkout and they can't do anything for us. Sooooo basically I paid for amenities I never received . This stay was unacceptable. We were charged for amenities we never received, had repeated service failures, and no accountability from the staff. Came to Golden for one night, one concert. First off the hotel lobby smells delightful! We did a pre check in the day prior so our room key was already sitting aside. It was so quick and painless! Room was GREAT! We had two beds, love the desk area, bench for suitcase, there was a mini fridge and coffee bar set up as well. The bathroom was super clean, lots of room for our makeup bags and a nice walk in shower. Honestly we did not eat here but we did grab drinks at the bar and they were delicious and (inexpensive!). We did pay for the shuttle to Red Rocks for the concert - recommend doing that too because it's a shorter walk and you know you're getting home safe! Overall, super great stay! read more

This used to be a great place to stay for a concert. A few years ago, the management changed, for the worse. There seems to be an entire family that runs the place now. They speak English well, at least. I had no hot water twice, and they kept my extra deposit. Some rooms don't have hot water and the hotel is outdated, from 1995. The whole feel of the place is like it's a "Con job" to extract money and give you nothing, not even the basics. It's very sad they have become rude to guests. Steer clear... this hotel is very overpriced and service was terrible. We came into town for a wedding and although the bride and groom had rented their top suites, spent a ton of money, and also blocked rooms for guests. Hotel managed to care less about her wedding, lose her dress, have no idea what time their bridal party shuttle left and really didn't care to find out for the entire time (2 days). I hesitated to write this review but after discussion with other guests, I realized all guests were experiencing same issues. None of the front desk agents have any idea what they are doing, nor do they care about guests. Decor is trendy in the lobby and elevators but that's where it ends. The rooms are not very clean, everything old and broken within room, and beds are horribly uncomfortable. They offer yoga supplies to your room but told us that customers have stolen everything so they have nothing left but a mat. We stayed here on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the day after (2024) because a family member was in the hospital, and I can't thank the staff enough for being so hospitable. The hotel itself is stylish, clean, and comfortable, but we particularly appreciated the kindness of the front desk and bar/restaurant staff during the holidays. Everyone here seems eager to ensure you enjoy your experience and the rooms are great, with comfortable beds, nice linens, a perfect coffee maker, and a nice shower. My husband and I recently stayed at Origin Redrock, checking in on Saturday, September 7, and checking out earlier today, September 9. Unfortunately, I feel compelled to share our disappointment with the condition of the room we were provided (Room 336), as it did not meet the standards we had expected given the rate of $450 per night. Here are a few issues we encountered during our stay: **The room was overall quite dirty. **There were noticeable stains on the lamp shades. **The furniture appeared worn out and in need of replacement. **The bedding was ripped, and despite requesting a replacement, it was never addressed during our stay. ** The bathroom faucet was not properly attached to the countertop, making it difficult to use. Given these conditions, we do not believe the price of the room was fair and are very disappointed with our experience. Based on this, I regret to say that we would not recommend the hotel to others. I contacted the hotel the day we checked out and have not heard anything back which is really the reason for posting this negative review. We flew into Denver later and stayed here on our way to Breckinridge for our snowboarding trip. The hotel is conveniently located off I-70 and is near a variety of food places within walking distance. When I got to the front desk to check in, there was a sign that said they'd be back in 5 minutes. I waited for a while and no one showed up, and more people were coming in and forming a line. It was definitely way past 5 minutes. My husband tried to call the hotel and whoever picked up was not helpful and seemed confused as to why we were saying there's no one at the front desk. A guy finally showed up and seemed flustered but was nice. The hotel and room is very tastefully decorated and clean. This hotel seems like the only one around. Great location less than a 10 minute drive from red rocks. Walking distance from breweries, a gas station for late night snacks and a 6am coffee shop. Little gift shop with Red Rocks clothing that isn't at the RR gift shop. Front desk staff were great! I did have to take off one star. I was debating between a three and four star though. First the parking lot is awful, it is super tight and if you don't park in the front you have to park all the way in the back and they don't have a back entrance. The bed was also very used, soft and uncomfortable. If you have a bad back, these beds will make it worse, you sink in the second you sit on it. They are clearly not rotating the mattresses of replacing them when worn out. Also, the shampoo and conditioner they provide is just communal on the wall and can be tamper with. I have seen that style before but normally it is locked so only the person servicing the room can open the lid. For how much we are paying they can afford to provide individual bottles. Bring your own because you never know what someone puts inside there. Lastly the price of this hotel was outrageous. Paying $600 plus for less than 24 hours, I expect somewhat of a luxury stay. They couldn't even afford complementary water bottles in the room ($5 each, worse than Disney land prices). I personally wouldn't come back just because it's not worth it to pay that much when I live an hour away. But if you are open to splurging a bit, and are looking to be as close to Red Rocks as possible this is the spot! Overall 3.5/5 read more

Location is great for seeing a show at Red Rocks Amphitheater. We took the shuttle from the hotel to the amphitheater. I don't know if it was just our room (227) but we had little hot water. Had to take fast showers. From 3pm to 5pm the bathroom would smell like sewage. It was coming from the shower, sink and toilet. Since the hotel was sold out we couldn't switch rooms. We had to close everything and bathroom door before leaving the day. I had to keep asking for coffee pods still didn't get any. For the cost of the stay this was definitely not worth the price. read more

I booked this hotel back in August for a concert next week but unfortunately have gotten sick so can no longer attend. The confirmation email I received from the hotel, I booked through the website, says cancellation policy is 48 hours prior to check in on date and there are no charges. I am calling today Sep 20 and the reservation is for Sep 24. They are telling me I will be charged 1 night stay because the cancellation policy is 5 days prior. ...but my confirmation literally says 48 hours! They then told me I have to call the third party I booked through, but I didn't book through a third party. I told them the number on the hotel website and the confirmation I received was the number I was calling so they transferred me to some customer support who reiterated that the cancellation was 5 days even though my confirmation email FROM THE HOTEL says 48 hours! I have been on the phone for 30 minutes and was told they could not help but to call the hotel and they gave me the SAME phone number I had originally called, the number that was still on my phone. I did call it again and hit 2 for Sales and they didn't even answer. This whole thing is ridiculous. I ended up emailing the email that sent the confirmation email but lord knows no one is monitoring that or its just an outbox. Regardless, I will be disputing the charge should it come in. Inviting lobby, pleasant staff. They have bikes for guests to use which is pretty cool. Couldn't switch from a room with one king bed to two queens since we were booked through a third party, which seems dumb. Whoever designed this room doesn't understand bathroom privacy. The barn door to the bathroom is half wavy glass...right in front of the toilet. They use all gels here, and the shower gel was super watered down so we had to use the hand soap gel instead. Shampoo was positioned so that you spray yourself in the face when you reach your hand to get some. The shower spray was...aggressive... but nice and HOT! Although the shower door opened so that keeping your hair dry is impossible. AC was legit, we were able to sleep nice and cold. Bed was comfy. Like all hotels, the walls are pretty thin for noise. The fridge door was falling apart and the inside was not at all cold so we had to throw our food away. No microwave in the room, or on the floor that we could find. Decent stay. read more

My boyfriend and I came into town for a night and stayed at Origin. We both love the atmosphere and design of the hotel. The front desk agent who checked us in was fantastic-throwing in a couple of free drink cards because we had a long travel day. We booked a deluxe king room which had a mountainside view. The room was spacious, clean and well designed. We had an issue with our original room on the second level because the mattress was caved in on the right side and had an incredibly squeaky bed frame. We called down to the front desk and the issue was promptly resolved with a room change to the 4th floor. The room on the 4th floor had a slightly better view but the bed was still a little caved in on the right side and squeaked but was minimal compared to our previous room. The bed was comfortable, however, it is clear this establishment may need to update their mattresses. Breakfast was good. This place makes a solid Bloody Mary! I had the chorizo breakfast burrito which was fantastic! Fun tip: Elk pass through the field on the mountainside of the hotel. I called the day of the booking. I was extremely ill and wanted to have my brother use my room as I was unable to make it. My brother already had a booking for a room that night with 2 out of town guests. I booked an additional room so that he could bunk in my room and the 2 out of town guests could use the other room and everyone could have a bed. The young lady I reached on the phone had a heavy accent and was difficult to understand but I explained the situation. She seemed a little frazzled at the time and put me on hold for a few minutes and she came back on the line she asked If I could call her back in 15 minutes due to the fact that she was very busy at the time. I was feeling terrible from my illness at the time I was making this call and was getting a little frustrated but was never rude to her. I asked if I could have the name of the GM of the hotel and she replied "NO". I called her back after 20 minutes after considering she was young and a little flustered during a rush. I worked for a hotel development and management company for a few years and understood the struggles. I added my brother's name to the room and she sent an updated itinerary via email, so I thought everything was taken care off. My brother and guests showed up and they refused to let him use the room. $300 wasted! read more

We booked this the morning of our stay as we drove from MN to CO. The website states their COVID action plan and policies and that they aren't booking any rooms up to 48 hours once they have been occupied. This alone makes you feel safe and assured. When we arrived we were happy to find that the pictures and description match real life. Easy check in process, front desk employees are wearing mask, stay a safe distance apart, explain everything needed and send you on your way. They are offering to go breakfast at the front desk in the mornings for purchase. They clearly let you know you can order from the Nomad restaurant downstairs and eat it in your room if you'd like. And they have reminders to social distances and only ride with 2 persons or your own party in the elevator. The room was clean and felt very modern and laid out. The only thing we noticed was quite a bit of dust underneath things and along corners with it being all wood floors but other than that we felt totally safe especially for it being our first stay since COVID took over our active lifestyle. When you check out you place your keys in a bucket of sanitizer and carry on your way. Red rocks amphitheater is currently closed to pedestrians and visitors which is a bummer but just means we will have to come back to see a show and stay here again once life allows us to! The gym was still closed FYI as they have to follow state guidelines. Located outside of golden but close enough and close to red rocks. Hallways can be louder once people are moving about and we kept hearing a double knock noise in the early hours which was odd - thinking it was an electric room maybe across the hall from us? Not sure! Gas station literally a stones throw away so easy to fill up if you are road tripping before hopping in the road again. It took me a day or so to warm up to this hotel. At first, I found it a little too modern for my taste and noticed some inconvenience like the lack of drawers to store clothes, especially underwear and socks and little things like that. So you have to keep things in your suitcase, but there is a nice area to lay it down. There is also a closet to hang shirts and coats. Then I discovered the pluses of this hotel: Comfortable bed with nice linens Super nice shower, powerful and roomy. Nice when you come from a long hike and all you want is relax and get some soothing from a nice hot shower. Quiet, even though it's a dog friendly hotel, I was never bothered by any barking Nice TV with Netflix, which you just have to sign in. That signing resets every day which is a little annoying when you stay for a week but insures your privacy when you leave the room. Decently fast free internet which you can upgrade to a very fast one Nice and very affordable restaurant (Nomad) which is convenient when you are too tired to go anywhere after a long day in the mountains. My wife and I decided to try something a little different than our usual Choice hotels type place and Origin came up. We've been by there numerous times over the past few years and it always looked nice. The place was super clean! The staff was very friendly as well. I unfortunately fell down on the ice when we arrived out by my vehicle of my own doing. lol. The manager bought me a couple of drinks on the house for my troubles which he didn't have to do. The bartender was so friendly and chatty! We enjoyed an app and a couple of drinks before heading to our room. The room was clean, up to date, modern and spacious. The staff was really wonderful and helpful. The room looked identical to the photos that are posted but the big issue that I had was with the shower. The water pressure was so strong that it wasn't pleasant at all. It felt like being blasted with 9 tiny fire hoses. I ran out of water before I could even finish washing my hair because it blasted through it all so quickly. Probably the worst shower experience I've had in any hotel. The body wash container was really watered down too. My guess is watering it down so they don't have to replace it as often. Nice hotel in a good location! It has great style, a wonderful restaurant, and enough other places nearby that you can stay a few days & still get some variety. If you book the king corner suite, be warned - it has a weird layout. The bathroom is as far from the bed as it could possibly be, you have to walk through the living area almost all the way to the door. Which would be convenient for socializing / having guests in the room, except that it has one of those stupid sliding barn doors and a big frosted window that takes up the whole top of the door, so... zero privacy if anyone is in the living area. The bed was weirdly soft and lumpy, pretty uncomfortable but I can deal with that for a few days. In general I'd recommend this hotel, especially if you're going to a show at Red Rocks. Be sure to check your bank statement if you stay here and have any issues such as late arrival. I had booked a non refundable two nights. I didn't arrive the first night and I knew I wouldn't get a refund. But they had decided I was a no show. So when I did arrive they had to figure out how to get me into a room. Newer hotel. Friendly staff and very comfortable beds. Unfortunately, I have no idea if this hotel has a GM. It's not a clean hotel. While it's new, it doesn't appear that maintenance, general upkeep, or daily cleaning is something they care about. The gym is dirty. Has piles of dust and dust bunnies on the window seals, on the floor, and filthy mirrors and windows. Handprints everywhere. The food and coffee was average and quite expensive, and they don't offer cream with coffee. We stayed for 4 nights, and were very ready to leave. The best thing is that the staff is very accommodating and friendly, and the beds are excellent. If you don't mind a grubby hotel and you are just in town for a concert, it's a decent place to crash. They should definitely take some time to clean up their outside dog area. Too much poop everywhere. Pretty gross. read more

The staff we super friendly and I was very convenient to hop on the bus to go to red rocks (for a fee). The building next store was super cool with a food court and bar in the middle. You could grab some food, sit at the bar, order a drink and enjoy. We got lucky and got to play trivia the night we were there with the locals that live in the above apartments. Good time! We had a great two night stay for a concert at Red Rocks. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Food at the onsite restaurant was good, but it was expensive. There is a nice outdoor seating area attached to the restaurant/bar. The hotel provides a free shuttle to Red Rocks and the pick up and drop off was great! Our seats were close to the stage and in the lower section so the drop off and pick up points were especially close, but still required some walking. The hotel does have free charging stations for electric vehicles. It came in handy for our rental car. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and we would stay again, especially for concerts! read more

Even living in town this would be a nice staycation option. Sometimes you just need a break in your own city!!! They have bikes for rent and have a shuttle service to take you two and from Red Rocks events. This area has a few new businesses across the street and is a short drive from Colfax Avenue and Lakewood/Colorado Mills. Super nice rooms. Large parking area plus electric vehicle charging stations. The hotel contains a few meeting rooms so while far from the airport this is a solid choice for your next company event. read more

I needed a last-minute place to crash in Golden, and this was great. It was clean and relatively spacious (I booked the slightly larger king bed room). The only drawback was that there was no housekeeping available, so when I needed new towels, they were slow and awkward about dropping them off, and there wasn't a way to get rid of the dirty towels (long story short, we had a hiking adventure that ended with us needing to wash ourselves and our shoes). I'm assuming the lack of housekeeping was a temporary issue, but it was a little inconvenient. I would stay here again if I were in the area. read more

When we were given our room key to our reserved room, we noticed blood stains on the bedsheets. The desk clerk did not give much of an apology, but just stated the sheets would be changed. We were a bit grossed out. All nearby hotel establishments were booked do we could not go elsewhere. We were not given a complimentary anything.
