relaxing bathtub at Pansy's Parlor
Rebecca B.

The first time I went to Pansy's Parlor, it was to attend a small wedding in the back garden. It was an intimate affair, probably 25 people. The owner, Judy, took wonderful care of everyone, bringing out the champagne filled glasses for the toast, right on time, having coffee and water available for the folks who arrived a little early. The backyard was full of trees and flowers and there was a good sized deck with chairs for sitting & socializing. The second time I a went to Pansy's Parlor, my husband and I actually stayed one night. We had one of the two rooms on the first level. It had a huge, clawfoot bathtub in the private bathroom, a queen sized antique bed with a vintage quilt, a dresser and small tv. There were 2 seating areas in the front of the house for reading or relaxing. There is a cool stone fireplace and lots of neat details, like tiny vintage framed photos and period fixtures. Judy puts on quite a spread for breakfast, coffee, juice, bread or muffins, eggs, fresh fruit and bacon. She told us some of the history of the property while we ate and seemed very knowledgeable. She told us about many places we could walk to in town for lunch and sightseeing. We were able to walk to a shuttle stop and ride in to Coors Brewery for the free tour. I made my husband walk to the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum with me after that! Pansy's Parlor is quaint, cozy and reasonably priced as well as within walking distance of everything in downtown Golden. It's also close to the School of Mines, if you are going there to visit a student or something. We will be going back again this summer and are looking forward to seeing Judy and having some of her delicious breakfast!

Wonderful host! We enjoyed our stay in Alice's room on the main level. Around the corner from downtown Golden historic area makes for a perfect location (home is from 1879). Breakfast was delicious with breads, juices, tea, eggs, and even a fruit smoothie! Enjoy a bit of history with a basket of artifacts including a bullet casing from Buffalo Bill. Affordable and best place to stay in the area.

My bed for two days.

The hotel itself is right in the heart of downtown Golden so you can walk to everything, which is a huge plus. There's a big restaurant and bar right in the hotel that makes it easy to grab food or a drink without leaving, and valet service made getting in and out simple. We had been to Golden in the past but never stayed there. We wanted to stay in downtown Golden as we were also going to attend a concert the same night at the Buffalo Rose. The Table Mountain Inn is literally a couple of blocks away so it was an easy choice. The hotel is decorated in a Southwest motif. We stayed in the Navajo Junior Suite which was quite large and included an outdoor balcony and a gas fireplace. From the balcony we had a nice view of Table Mountain and the Coors brewing factory which was amusing as Coors Light is my husband's favorite beer. While it was very warm, we didn't use the fireplace but it is a nice feature, especially if you stayed in winter months. The room was clean and comfortable and well appointed. There were 2 TV's. One in the living room and one in the bedroom which was nice. All staff we encountered were very friendly and wished us "Happy Anniversary." If we ever want to spend some more time in Golden, I would gladly stay here again.

Dinner was delicious and my favorite sponge cake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream was served up for dessert. The portions were huge! My room was super cozy and very tastefully decorated. We had room 1-8, which had a valley view and was beautifully appointed with artwork created by the owners. For exercise, you can run, ride, or hike right out the front door around the Mesa which gives the B&B it's name. Or, for the adventurous, Gab will spend time with you jumping on the trampoline or you can take a unicycle lesson from her sister Anna. When the weather permits, meals are taken on the back deck with stunning views of foothills to the west. The chef, D'Gaw (French i think) was creative in his use of the smoker and grill. D'Gaw's wife Stephanie rounds out the the B&B staff, running the hotel shuttle and preparing generous and delicious deserts. We enjoyed the stay so much we plan to come back soon. Highly recommended.

My husband and I joked that even if our wedding was a dud, the venue alone would wow people. The walk through video on their website is just a glimpse into the magic and joy that this spot holds!!! From the ceremony site options, to the bridal suite, to the dining area and the dance floor, we enjoyed all of the spaces this place has to offer. Our 108 guests loved the food, the drinks, and the views so much, they couldn't stop commenting all night on how beautiful and awesome this venue was. And our photos turned out incredible with the mountains, the river, the trees, and the outdoor lights. Dawn is responsive and helpful and she knows what she's doing! My one area of constructive criticism would be recommending that the venue provide a clearer timeline to the couples getting married. I typed my own up based on our meetings but the venue stated they'd send it a few times and never got around to it. Otherwise, I can't say enough WONDERFUL things about this spot. Hospitality is their jam. The rentable items like the arch and photo booth, the in-house decorations, and the food options are positively stunning. The staff is phenomenal, the on-site honeymoon suite was so clean and comfortable, and there was lots of space for kids to run around. An amazing AMAZING spot to make memories and start your married life with your partner off right!
