Lovely accomodations. very convenient, walkable location to downtown. Wonderful proprietress. We had the most delicious breakfast each day.

The host is wonderful (she's a heck of a cook) and you couldn't ask for a better location to downtown historic Golden. We stayed for a Friday-Monday trip and absolutely loved it. You can walk within 5' to just about anywhere downtown. It's a small establishment too and the owner is extremely attentive. We are already looking at booking again for when we go back! read more

Charming, quaint, B&B perfectly located blocks from the heart of Golden. Dining, craft cocktails, coffee shops, tap-houses, live music and shopping are steps away. Surprisingly quiet given the proximity to the action. We were celebrating a milestone anniversary and the innkeeper, Rebecca, went out of her way to add special touches to our experience. She is very friendly without being overbearing. Breakfast was filling and delicious and Rebecca again went out of her way to accommodate the dietary restrictions of another guest. The expansive back yard was out of commission for the season, but with some love should be a nice touch in warmer months. A good place for couples and business travelers wanting a break from sterile hotel rooms. read more

We stayed at Pansy's Parlor this past weekend to visit friends. It was my first B&B stay, so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. I was blown away by the beauty of the space and by the radiant hospitality of our hostess, Rebecca. The space itself is just gorgeous- sweet peas and other flowers overflowing in the front, a cute space in the back, beautifully decorated on the inside with Victorian wallpaper, furnishings. etc. In the front window is the cutest tea nook! And it's a stone's throw from anything you need while exploring Golden- great food, bars, a brewery, boutiques, a park, and ice-cream shop, even a couple of tattoo shops, and probably a lot more we didn't see. Our room was just so cute and really comfortable. We slept great every night. And every morning, Rebecca was there with her great big friendly smile, great conversation, fresh coffee and a delicious home-made breakfast! We have dietary restrictions and she was able to easily adjust for us. She made sure we had everything we needed the entire stay- clean towels, snacks, drinks, etc. On top of that, Rebecca is really knowledgeable about Golden and can tell you where to find the best food, where to go for souvenirs, coffee, pastries, anything you want to experience. As I said, this was my first B&B experience and she made it absolutely wonderful (and may have spoiled me on any others!). I went to Golden for a few days to visit a friend and stayed at Pansys in the front room with the smaller private bath. What a treat! Located just a block off the main strip, yet very private and quiet. The hostess, Rebecca, was charming and gave a wonderful overview of downtown which directed me to great coffee, food and shopping - all within walking distance! She also made breakfast and was accommodating to dietary restrictions. Highly recommend if you're visiting Golden or going to Red Rocks. read more

The location of this place is great and the history is awesome. The outside is overgrown and in need of attention. Back patio is unusable. Bathrooms are en-suite, but there is no place to put much more than a toothbrush. Air conditioning also needs to be upgraded. Breakfast was just ok and we were only four of us there. Just barely lukewarm. For the price, this should be better than they were. read more

Hello fellow Colorado School of Mines families and others interested in visiting historic Golden Colorado! I highly recommend staying at Pansy's Parlor while visiting Golden. In May '23, my son graduated from Mines. I was fortunate to rent the entire B&B to host my family for the momentous weekend. We all loved it! Rebecca was extremely helpful in getting us checked in and she prepared delicious breakfasts each morning. She even brought special treats on Mother's Day. The house is historic, beckoning back to the cowboy and pioneer days of "Lonesome Dove", I think it is from 1872. The B&B is interesting and comfortable. The location is unbeatable! Blocks from the Colorado School of Mines, 1 block from the Main Street, with nearby breweries, coffee shops and great restaurants. My wife and I stayed at Pansy's Parlor in 2019 while visiting my son for spring football. We were overjoyed to return for graduation, this time with the whole family. The first time I went to Pansy's Parlor, it was to attend a small wedding in the back garden. It was an intimate affair, probably 25 people. The owner, Judy, took wonderful care of everyone, bringing out the champagne filled glasses for the toast, right on time, having coffee and water available for the folks who arrived a little early. The backyard was full of trees and flowers and there was a good sized deck with chairs for sitting & socializing. The second time I a went to Pansy's Parlor, my husband and I actually stayed one night. We had one of the two rooms on the first level. It had a huge, clawfoot bathtub in the private bathroom, a queen sized antique bed with a vintage quilt, a dresser and small tv. There were 2 seating areas in the front of the house for reading or relaxing. There is a cool stone fireplace and lots of neat details, like tiny vintage framed photos and period fixtures. Judy puts on quite a spread for breakfast, coffee, juice, bread or muffins, eggs, fresh fruit and bacon. She told us some of the history of the property while we ate and seemed very knowledgeable. She told us about many places we could walk to in town for lunch and sightseeing. We were able to walk to a shuttle stop and ride in to Coors Brewery for the free tour. I made my husband walk to the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum with me after that! Pansy's Parlor is quaint, cozy and reasonably priced as well as within walking distance of everything in downtown Golden. It's also close to the School of Mines, if you are going there to visit a student or something. We will be going back again this summer and are looking forward to seeing Judy and having some of her delicious breakfast! read more

I have never enjoyed a night's stay in a B&B or hotel any more than my one night at Pansy's Parlor in Golden Co. My only regret is that I was only there for one night. This Victorian home - and I felt like I was at home - is steeped in charm and history. Buffalo Bill was a frequent guest of the Gaw family who were the original owners of the home. I had to wonder if I may have slept in the same bedroom that Buffalo Bill slept in. The owners - John and Judy - have wonderfully preserved the unique ambiance of this special house. The accommodations speak of a time when hospitality was a virtue well practiced. From the most comfortable bed I slept on to the incredible breakfast that Judy prepared, I felt like a valued guest among friends. Judy even asks each guest upon arrival if they have any food allergies or preferences in her planning of the breakfast meal. And Judy also takes time at breakfast to give a very interesting account of the history of this very special home. For history buffs like me, it was a highlight unto itself. It is obvious Judy has a love for this special home and it's history. It is evident in the tremendous job she does in making her guests feel 'right at home.' read more

Wonderful host! We enjoyed our stay in Alice's room on the main level. Around the corner from downtown Golden historic area makes for a perfect location (home is from 1879). Breakfast was delicious with breads, juices, tea, eggs, and even a fruit smoothie! Enjoy a bit of history with a basket of artifacts including a bullet casing from Buffalo Bill. I needed a place to stay while visiting my son at the Colorado School of Mines. I tried to book three or four hotels but all were either filled or cost around $250 or more per night. I found this b & b listed and thought I would give it a try. WOW! Only about 5 blocks from the school, fresh breakfast every morning, nice private bedroom with private bath, wonderful host Judy. Perfect place for a relaxing stay while visiting my son. Best find I've had in a long while. read more

Pansys Parlor is an awesome little spot right in the heart of Golden. Very historic background of this property as well as a very "I'm at home" feel. Walking distance to everything in Golden, including the Coors factory. Judie was nothing but a sweetheart and really makes you feel welcomed. Our night was perfect and just what we needed. Judie made an awesome breakfast that also came with a little historical lesson about Pansy and her family that really added to the whole experience. Now, this is the part that really made an impression... Judie and John run the B&B and I had left my air pods there. At least I thought I did, John had called and said he found them! We had already relocated to Morrison, about 15-20 mins away, and he said he was going to deliver them! No issue at all. We didn't want to stay by the 2 star hotels and drive into Golden, we wanted to walk out the front door to town. The rooms were large and comfortable, the breakfast was great. This B&B is a true historical location. The house was built in the 1870's and is furnished in antiques. The main area has era appropriate wall paper, so feels a little dark inside. There is a nice gathering spot in the living room where we were able to sit and visit with our friends. The yard is full of flowers, but we were past their full bloom. The owner, Judy, is very friendly and is a great story teller. She knows a lot about the family that built and lived in the home prior to her purchasing it and shared her stories during breakfast along with pictures of the family and the house. There are 4 bedrooms. The 2 downstairs have private baths while the 2 upstairs share a bath. The rooms are spacious and have window unit A/C, so you control the temperature of your own room. As the bathrooms were added after the house was built, 2 of them are smaller in size, but quite functional. Breakfast is served to everyone in the dining room. It was delicious- ours included a poppy seed bread, peach smoothie and a wonderful egg dish with toast. Judy was helpful with suggestions for where to go for other meals and places to visit. When we return to Golden, we will definitely see if Pansy's is available. read more
