Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring, Western Riviera and the town of Grand Lake has something special to offer in every single season. 2 years ago In the summer we came and enjoyed the lake activities. The following Winter we rented Snow Mobiles, went Snow Shoeing, went Snow Tubing, and watched the local ice fishers catch fish, and watched how the town transformed into this quiet peaceful place compared to how it is in the summer. SO MAGICAL in the winter months. This past fall we came to catch the colors of the leaves changing, watch the elk rut, and go hiking. I must say Fall was my FAVORITE season to be at Western Riviera. It wasn't exceptionally clean, but it wasn't dirty either, and the linens were clean. So cleanliness wasn't really the issue. The biggest problem was the noise. I stayed in a ground-floor unit and could hear virtually every footstep from the room above me throughout the night. My room was also next to the kitchen, and I could hear almost everything happening in the neighboring rooms. The walls and floors provide very little sound insulation. For a hotel at this price point, I expect significantly better. Being able to sleep comfortably shouldn't be a luxury, and the constant noise made the stay frustrating. Overall, I'd give the room cleanliness 4/5, but the hotel experience 2/5. The noise was simply too much for me, especially given the price. Let's not forget the surprise $15 per night parking either. I would not stay at Gravity Haus again.
