After I got the suit back the second time, I guess the suit is finished, but the quality is absolutely terrible, and they would not give me partial refund for not finishing the suit on time (which was the sole reason I paid 500 dollars for this, if I didn't need it the next day, I wouldn't pay that much for sure). This place cannot deliver their promise and the quality of service is not acceptable, especially for this crazy price.

I bought 2 dresses at a sample sale at Kleinfield's, and both needed adjustments. One more so than the other. Sam took the original dress and essentially re-made into a different dress that fit my vision, which was not easy by any means. The dress didn't entirely fit as well and I was very nervous I made a mistake buying the dress. Sam is extremely detail-orientated, and wants everything for his clients to be perfect. Both suits required a moderate amount of work but nothing major, and I was charged about $350 total -- no specifics, more of a holistic billing approach. But the Yelp reviews were very positive (even better at the time than they are now) so I was willing to shell out. B. The work was very clearly farmed out to someone else, and was done terribly. One of the pants was taken in so far in the seat that about half my butt fit inside it. Nelson's response was to say "oh, one of my guys must have done that" and he fixed it in about ten minutes, and to his credit fixed it very well. I have no idea who that other guy was or how he could possibly have believed a human ass would have been covered by his tailoring, but he was not ready for his assignments. The other pants were cut similarly, but I was fed up and just left -- before I even noticed that the sleeves on one of the jackets were uneven. Nelson himself is probably a great tailor, as evidenced by his cleanup job, but whoever he's giving work to...well, you might as well do it yourself with nail scissors and floss. C. It took forever. I finally called after 5 weeks or so and was told that "your suits have been here forever, we left you several messages, why haven't YOU picked up your suits?" This was, of course, blatantly not true . . . especially since I then showed up, and only one of my suits was there (the other still with Tailor X, as he figured out how to eliminate more butt fabric). PSA: take your stuff elsewhere. You've been warned.

The suit looks amazing and when I wore it to an event several days later, I received a number of compliments. I will be bringing in several shirts to be tailored- really impressed with the work. The prices are slightly higher than other tailors, but I thought in terms of "value" vs. absolute "price." Nothing feels better than wearing tailored or custom clothes.

He said he could fix it but not now because they were closing so it won't be ready until 9am the next day and my flight is at 7am. Keep in mind, they wouldn't let me pick the dress up before 5pm. I literally paid extra to have it be done today and he won't even give me money back because he "did what I asked him to". I said "so you don't care that the dress doesn't fit me then" and he straight up said "No". They don't provide a good service at all and admit to your face they don't care.

He WILL make you look better and point out ways to make the clothes better compliment your body that others don't even know about. Not only that, Juan did me a solid by getting the alterations done in-time with a big move out of state. Last minute, off of a random walk-in, and brother still treated me like I was a long time regular. No other place could help but I called Orchard Street tailors (that's what they were called in most places online) and they responded. Gave me a reasonable quote over the phone (via text) and I rushed over. Then a problem - the pants had no more fabric to let out. Most places would stop there. But Fabian pulled extra fabric from the hem without even shortening the pants. Hence, he's a wizard. Got it done in about 30 mins while I waited. Super professional and friendly. We chatted while he worked. Great guy. I'm a brand-new customer and this was the service! I'm blown away. Really glad I found this place and Fabian.
