But today's home run was finding the ice cream inside- and the friendly attendant who asked me if I wanted a 2-FOR-1 Scoop. I couldn't get the word YES out fast enough. Honestly, even without the double scoop special it was a good experience. The lady who scooped the ice cream was friendly- and so was the cashier. There were two other people in line in front of me and they were not exactly friendly, or sober, but the guy behind the counter did his best to handle a bad situation. When he was finished with them and they departed the store I made sure to tell him he showed great patience and handled the previous folks well. At this location, just outside campus and in a rougher looking part of town, the team behind the counter today did well to handle whatever came their way, avoiding a possible conflict on one part- and ensuring I knew about a free extra scoop of heaven on the other. Not every hourly employee would have done one- let alone both. Thanks UDF. This made my day.

So if you use the mobile Yelp app at all, then you might have seen my many quick tips regarding…read moreplaces that have free air machines. Well, of the 3 or 4 I knew of in the city, this is the only one that still has free air. In fact, maybe I should be keeping that a secret. Oh well. So my rating mostly comes from the fact that it is now the only place I know of that won't charge me 75 cents or more for a few minutes of air coming out a hose. However, in addition to that, it has I guess about 8 pumps, a 2-bay service station, and a tiny storefront as well. I haven't had any work done here, and on some days it doesn't even look like they're open. The convenience store part is very tiny, with a very limited selection. They sell some beer, but mostly tall boys and a few brands of six or twelve packs. Not where you go for microbrews. The same goes for the snack and beverage selection. Just the very basics. But sometimes that's all you need. Oh, lastly, the location can be kind of hard to get in or out of due to its location right off Neil near Goodale.

After finally leaving my 3 day training (tons of fun), I decided to stop here for gas. As I arrived…read moreand actually filled my car up with gas I decided to go in and buy a five hour energy for the trip and some food as I was absolutely starving. It's the first time I've been to a GetGo gas station and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. There aren't any gimmicks here, no super fancy diner, no real restaurants attached to it. There is absolutely nothing making this Gas Station any better than most standard Gas Stations out there, only there is. When you can excel in customer service, you've absolutely won the game. Two of the nicest, and quickest staff members I've ever come across at gas station. I can't remember the exact name of the gentleman that rung me out, but he was a baller. He sparked a conversation with me and made me feel welcome, like he wanted me there. Wasn't in a hurry to get me out of there, the feeling I typically arrive to when I'm at any gas station. He was more than willing to treat me like a person, bravo. On another bright side, they were very well stocked, and I think that goes still with the two employees I saw working there. They had the Deli food stocked to a tee and I felt like I had some real choice in what to eat, which is great. I wont highlight the food too much, it was decent but the overall experience and the people they have working there make this a 5 star experience. I'm here to highlight those great customer oriented employees I come across. Keep up the work, don't lose the magic.
