Ahh!! Where should we start?! Wink is a studio and store in downtown! They're located right across from Starbucks and Aloha Beer Co. Fortunately for me, I'm able to walk but I know there's street parking and a number of garages nearby. My artist is Krissy and I LOVE her. The first time I met Krissy, we did a full removal of another artist's work. I did not like seeing myself naked LOL but it had to be done. Krissy asked about my desired look and lengths, I gave her an idea of what I want but I'm super open to anything so I told her she can do whatever! She gave me a blanket, played some old throwbacks, I went off to snooooze, and woke up looking way better than when I walked in I've gone back to see Krissy countless times since then and every time, it's the same comforting and warm experience. Lash pain or discomfort? Never! Fall-out? All completely normal with my shed cycle. Frequency? Every two weeks, as normal. How does Krissy take feedback? Amazingly! I let her know I prefer shorter lashes after awhile because it would bump my glasses and she had no issue with my request. She informed me it will take a few fills to get them all the same length (no prob for me) but it was 100% possible. Scheduling with Krissy is really easy and she's always prompt at responding. With my hectic schedule, it's hard for me to make appointments far in advance but I'm so fortunate to have an artist willing to accommodate my life and schedule (if need be). The owner, Mya, is the sweetest gal and she's the one that set me up with Krissy. I'm beyond glad she did! I was visiting on my honeymoon and was seen the DAY OF for a full set. (This typically never happens with lash techs, but they were able to get me in by the grace of God after coming off a cruise.) Kina was beyond a lash tech, she was a caring human who educated me on how to take better care of my lashes while doing fun island adventures! I've learned so much within the 2 days I've spent with her. She is very patient and is very open to any questions especially if you have a lot like I do. I have been coming to Mya to get my lashes done even before she ventured on her own and created Wink. She has always been very precise, professional, and compassionate with me. She is extremely detailed and thoughtful with her work. I have an almond eye shape and felt like previous extensions from other artists made my eyes look droopy. She took the time to review my eye shape and created a custom design that made me look lifted and awake. She is my one and only lash lady that I trust. I recently got my lip blush touched up with Mya and LOVE them. My entire experience was phenomenal. I was numbed very well and the procedure was virtually pain free - I was actually drifting to sleep. Mya has a gentle hand too! I really appreciated that she spent the time needed to make sure she got the shape of my lips correct. She color corrected all my spots of concern and I cant believe all my expectations were achieved in a single session. What really impressed me was that I had a minimal amount of swelling, no bleeding, and the coloring of my lips were significant! The sun damaged parts of my lips were restored to a youthful pink again! I couldn't believe how amazing she made me look and feel afterwards. This is the only place I found that does foreign fills, and Mya did a really good job at making them look exactly like how they looked when I first got the full set in NYC. I recently tried it to help shorten the process of doing brows in my makeup routine, and also just have nice brushed brows all the time. I had been going to them for about 6 months or more, and everything was okay in the beginning. There were a few times when they weren't on time and I would have to wait a few minutes outside for them to arrive, but I tried not to let it bother me too much. Then there was a schedule mix up when I was waiting for over half an hour and no reply back, and there had been a "schedule mix up". Then when the last time I had my lashes done, I paid around $170 for everything and my lashes fell out within a week. More than 50% of them were gone. I texted about this and was supposed to get a free set for this. They never got back to me to schedule this and it has been months since. I just feel like time management was very lacking and customer service. They were nice people, just not running business very well. read more
