Figured my chances were slim, but Tonya (or perhaps Tonia) the manager ensured that my dining dreams came true. She was very helpful, fitting us in at 8:30. The door to enter the restaurant isn't prominently labeled, so I always second guess if I have the right way. It's a classy feel inside with lighting that sets the mood, as well as cohesive fixtures and accents. Tablet menus? Yes. That's a thing here. Our server did a great job taking care of us. All our needs were met with finesse. As for the food, so delicious! I would normally go for the Lobster Mac & Cheese, which is to die for, but I like to switch things up. The Mahi Mahi Sandwich didn't disappoint. The regular mac & cheese that I had for my side is some of the best around town. The cocktails are flawless. My Mint Julep and Manhattan were perfectly crafted and 100% satisfying. This place is consistent and will not let you down. Looking forward to my next visit.

For the food, the best item on the bbq chicken platter was the creamed corn. There was a perfect crunch on top and the cream paired very well with the sweet corn. I believe it had jalapeños in it but there barely was any spice. The bbq chicken tasted just like you would imagine it and the fries weren't anything special. My girlfriend really enjoyed the lobster mac & cheese. Just like the creamed corn, my girlfriend complimented the crunch on top of the entree. We both liked the spinach dip and the chips were lightly seasoned well too. For the drinks, we got the baby blue cosmo and the espresso martini. The martini was good and the cosmo was pretty strong for it being a restaurant.

The quality of the wings was excellent--very tender with just the right amount of flavor. The Lemon Pepper had a nice balance and wasn't overly lemony, which I appreciated. The Chipotle BBQ wings were very saucy in a good way, with a rich BBQ flavor. My favorite was the Blackened Honey. It had a great balance of sweet honey with a bold, peppery seasoning that gave it a nice kick. Overall, really solid wings and great service.

When I returned, they insisted I bring back the incorrect wings, which I did. I politely asked if, due to the inconvenience, I could keep the incorrect wings since they were just going to be thrown away anyway. Instead, the waitress snatched the wings out of my hand and told me to calm down, which was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. The manager didn't come speak to me until after the replacement wings were handed over. When I explained the inconvenience and how the situation was handled, he simply said "sorry, I can't help you" and walked away. No attempt to resolve the issue, no accountability, no courtesy. Again, the food wasn't the issue -- the service was rude, dismissive, and poorly handled. A little basic customer care would have gone a long way.

We went in to order since I had a few questions, and the staff couldn't have been nicer, even with how busy it was. There's no indoor seating, but there are a few tables outside if you want to hang out while you wait or eat there. (We ordered then walked over to Runabout Brewing for a beer while we waited) We went all in with the family deal: 50 wings, 2 fries, and 4 drinks. The wings were big, crispy, and cooked just right. We tried a mix of flavors: KB's Secret Rub (dry rub), That Honey Garlic, That Lemon Pepper, KB's Sweet Heat, and That Fiery Garlic Parm. The standout favorite for our group was That Honey Garlic, while the Lemon Pepper didn't quite hit the same for our group. The other three flavors were also very delicious! The fries were just as tasty.. crinkle cut and crispy. We got both the plain and the "secret rub" fries, and honestly, no complaints on either (the secret rub has a slightly sweet, BBQ-style flavor). The homemade dipping sauces were a nice bonus too. The ranch leans heavy on dill (in a good way) and the blue cheese has the perfect tang. Overall, I'm a big fan. I'll definitely be back and recommending it to anyone craving solid wings! (another thing to note: it's a cashless restaurant)

There were no customers when we arrived, so I was skeptical. But the staff assured me we were at the right place for wings. They sold me on their sauces being authentic and house made. So I tried. We ordered Honey Garlic, Lemon Pepper, and Garlic Parmesan. Also ordered a couple cheeseburgers. Everything came out fresh and hot to order. Place could've been a five star review but the sauce on the Honey Garlic (preponderance of the order) was not what I was accustomed to. Not enough honey and it seemed to buttery - almost like it would be better on crabs. Great blue cheese dip But loved the staff and service. Would return and get a dry wing.

Instead, I found salvation at Lake Nona's Miller's Ale House, my sister's favorite place to eat. The Flight-Delay Forgiveness Tour: Miller's Ale House Edition After my flight from New York decided to linger in the clouds long enough for me to consider the nutritional value of the airplane's headrest covers, and I touched down in Lake Nona with a hunger so ravenous that I was ready to seize the first edible object I saw. My sister's suggestion and my hunger led us here. I sought penance for my travel delays in the form of the Brunch Burger. This was no mere sandwich; it was a half-pound premium beef patty crowned with a majestic fried egg, peppered bacon, and a creamy red chili sauce that acted as a peace treaty for my grumbling stomach. It was so juicy and well-executed that with every bite, it practically whispered a formal apology for every minute I spent on the tarmac. My sister, meanwhile, opted for the English Pub Fish & Chips. The white fish was beer-battered to such a flaky, golden perfection that it almost attempted to swim right off the plate and back to the Atlantic. But let's discuss the real MVP: the seasoned fries. These were the antithesis of the 'double-dropped' or over-fried tragedies found elsewhere; they were crunchy, precision-seasoned, and undeniably fresh. We didn't leave a single stub behind. In fact, had there been a lone crumb remaining, we might have engaged in a territorial dispute over it like a pair of frantic seagulls at the pier. Miller's didn't just provide a meal; they provided a 'salvation' from a stressful day of travel. If you're looking for a place where the food is as bold as the energy in the room, this is your front-row seat. I didn't try it this time, but if you love sweets like me, you should definitely try the Captain Jack's Buried Treasure cake--You won't regret it. Psst, just so you know: it's definitely a treat to share.

The Open-Window Oasis: Maki Hibachi at Lake Nona…read more In a town where many sushi spots can feel like a roll of the dice, Maki Hibachi is the undisputed heavyweight champion of consistency. For me, a trip to Orlando isn't complete without a pilgrimage to this sanctuary of 'top-notch' Japanese cuisine. Walking inside, you're immediately struck by the aesthetic--clean lines, modern decor, and a vibe that manages to be both chic and welcoming. But the real entertainment is the open-concept kitchen. There is a certain culinary thrill in watching the chefs through the open window, knowing that the masterpiece headed to your table is being freshly made-to-order right before your eyes. On this particular mission, I brought my BFF along for her maiden voyage, and safe to say, she's a convert. While I usually pledge my undying loyalty to the Mango Tango--a dance of coconut shrimp and fresh mango--and the decadent Sexy Lobster Roll, we decided to be adventurous and recruited the Monster Lobster Roll into our rotation. It was exactly as the name implies: a delicious, tasty beast of a roll that didn't just meet expectations; it devoured them. Of course, the family traditions remained intact: my sister stayed true to her beloved, generous Bento Box, while my niece happily tackled her reliable mountain of rice and teriyaki chicken. The pro tip for fellow sushi fanatics? Timing is everything. Arrive for the 11:00 AM opening to witness the absolute peak of freshness, or catch them when they re-open at 5:00 PM after their 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM 'beauty sleep'. In a world of 'average' sushi, why would you go anywhere else when Maki Hibachi is consistently serving up excellence with a side of friendly service? In a world of conveyor-belt confusion, Maki Hibachi is my personal sushi sanctuary. This isn't just a restaurant; it's a 'top-notch' mission I make every single time I'm in Orlando. If you haven't been here yet, consider this your formal invitation to excellence.
