Have tried this place on a few occasions in hopes of it getting better. It has not. So, today was my last order from this poorly managed excuse for a wing place. Here are the issues: 1) their wings are MINUSCULE. I mean, really really small. If I didn't know better, I would think they are using baby chickens. Yes, they're that small. Its clear that they are buying by the pound so the smaller their product - the bigger the profit margin. Especially when you are selling by the piece and not by weight. Essentially after delivery, etc - their wings work out to about $1.80 each. Super expensive for the size. 2) theres no consistency in cooking. One order with be overdone, the next will be underdone, one will soaked in oil, then next will have no seasoning. They're all over the map. So disappointing, as a frequent visitor for the past few years I had an absolutely terrible experience this weekend with Wingstop ruining the Superbowl. They had a logistical nightmare, messed up my order twice, and really showed they care more about the bottom dollar than providing a good experience for their customers. I placed a large catering order 4 days before the Superbowl with a 5:45pm pickup time (45mins prior to game time), intending to be the hit of my party. When I showed up at 5:40 there was a mob of people inside waiting for their orders and a table set aside that said "pick up orders" but it was empty. The employee in front of the table was lounging in a chair and on his cell phone. When I asked him about the status of my order he replied "I don't know, it will be at least an hour". He didn't attempt to find out, just made up a time estimate. Obviously there were other angry customers so I didn't cause a scene, I patiently waited for my order. After 45 mins of waiting they finally called my name. I grabbed my food, went to table to see if it was all there and to my surprise they left out 15 wings, 2 fries, and 6 dips. How do you get an order that colossally wrong?? I went back to the counter and told them and got back to waiting..... Finally they completed my order and I went to my party, where the game had already started. When we started eating we realized that they had given us only Blue Cheese, no Ranch! We had ordered 14 dips, 7 Ranch, 7 Blue Cheese. They look the same from the outside so I did not know until we started eating. For some of us the ranch is our favorite part so with so many disappointed guests I decided to drive back to Wingstop. It's on the spicier side but dipping it in ranch helps. The bbq just taste like any generic bbq sauce. Waited 30-35 minutes for our order. *We get our food and noticed that there was a ranch dip missing so I asked the young lady for another. Came here with a friend for the first time. It wasn't the worst but I have experienced much better. Food: We ordered a family pack with 3 different flavors. The Mango Habanero was the best tasting but also not even the tiniest bit of heat. The atomic was barely a burn and their Louisiana Rub was tasty but again no heat. Before getting into it, I want to clarify that the only reason that I'm leaving a one star review is because yelp doesn't allow less than that. Wow, how things have changed! Like most new establishments, after wingstop's initial buzz disappeared, so did the quality of the food and reasonable pricing. Typical! Quality goes down and prices go up. I remember that when this place first opened, the wings were huge, tasty, & cooked to perfection. Now, it is the exact opposite. The wings have been consistently shriveled and ridiculously small, overcooked to the point of being burnt, & the prices have actually gone up. The wings are tasteless. When u bite into one, it is such a hard chew that you actually lose interest in taking a second bite. Those Louisiana rub and garlic parm flavors used to be so delicious and now its feels like I'm biting into a cooked piece of cardboard. There is hardly any chicken meat on the wings anymore and the cherry on the sundae is that these people had the audacity to raise the price of their wings. I was charged about 42 bucks for a family pack. I remember back a few months ago when I last ordered, the bill was around 36-37 bucks. So the same family pack that I ordered tonight cost 42 bucks. Our food comes out eventually, and by this yime the place was really filling up. There was at least 5 people after us now. We ordered 4 flavors of boneless chicken, 2 fries, coleslaw, and bread. The chicken was mediocre at best. It was white meat, but thats about the end of the good about it.. the coating was too thick and hard, mostly flavorless and just smothered in salt. We didnt finish any of the 5 piece wings that we ordered. The fries portion was enormous, but we also didnt finish either tray, since they were so salty. Average drinks selection, fountain soda was good, but the teas tasted watered down. Overall, not coming back. after wanting to see what all the hype from my friend was about, I finally was able to walk in last night. the seasoning is perfect. the batter is terrific, not too much flour. but I couldn't get myself to like the rubber texture of the chicken, reminiscent of a 20 piece wings pack at a local supermarket for $5 near you. these wings are uniform in shape and size, so I'm guessing it's bought in bulk from a corporate meat company. in the end it's where the source of the meat comes from that makes a banger meal, and I just wasn't that impressed. give these same seasonings on authentic, hand cut chicken and then you've got the real deal. but then again, wing stop is a corporate chain, I guess I should have expected this. read more
