This was my first time trying Wingstop, which I ordered for our department Super Bowl lunch. I ordered via the website, for pickup today. The 40 piece wings set comes with fries, veggie sticks and dips. I tried an assortment of original (bright orange and medium spicy), plain and bbq. I think I could have ordered one more flavor but I ordered boneless (because it was for the office) but if this were for my own consumption I would have ordered with bones. The fries smelled amazing in my car (and my car still smells) and they tasted great too -- still crisp, skin on, garlicky flavor. No one touched the veggie sticks -- they didn't look appealing. This wasn't a bad option for a crowd. I thought it was priced reasonably, good value, most of the wings were eaten. My order was ready to go when I arrived. read more

I grew up eating Buffalo Joe's in Evanston but became a fan of this chain when they started popping up, due to the greater options (several flavors to choose from, carrots and celery, bleu cheese or ranch dressing) plus their fries are great. Great and seasoned well. Everything is a la carte but you get what you want that way. We always order from this location because my husband swears the food is better than the Evanston location. We came here for some wings. My wife ordered the Korean bbq, my son ordered mango habenero, and I ordered the original hot. These orders included drinks and fries, and we ordered 2 x carrots and celery. They got really busy, so we found a table in the back of the restaurant. They were very limited with the types of drinks that were in the fountain drink dispenser, so we didn't have much of a choice. 15 mins later, we were called to the front to get our food. The wings were all very dry. Almost all the sauce was sitting under the wings. The fries were very greasy and not edible. We only received one order of carrots and celery, but when we told the last at the front, she told me she combined both ordered into the same container. Cons- the chicken seemed over cooked, not much flavor in the mild, zero salt in the garlic parm and didn't taste much garlic. Pros- the hot had great flavor while being hot, the lemon pepper chicken was bursting with flavor, fries were fresh and skin on. They give a lot of fries w the combo. They tasted slightly sweet - as in sugar on them. Both ranch and blue cheese were really great and they give you a large enough container. My family and I love Wingstop with a fierce kind of loyalty. It's hard to figure out something to agree on when we order takeout/delivery, but Wingstop is always a go-to. We only order the classic wings with louisiana rub. I'll get the mild wings once in a while, but I find their buffalo sauce kind of oily and underwhelming. When the wings are good...they're REAL good. In the past, there were a few instances where they cooked them well-done to the point of crispiness where it hurt to eat, but otherwise...no issues. Their fries are some of my favorites when cooked well and seasoned properly. This was my first time at this wing stop location. I ordered my food at 10:25p and recieved it at 11:23. My The guy at the register saw me sitting for an hour waiting. He said nothing. After I reminded him about my order, that he somehow wrapped in a door dash delivery bag, he got an attitude and asked "do you want a free drink?". I would've much preferred a refund. A tasty and hot meal in 14 minutes! Yes, I'm a fan. Something about getting my food quick and delicious really makes me happy. If I'm hungry and have to wait forever for my food, it makes me cranky. I really enjoyed this location. It's your typical fair. Staff is friendly. They even humored me when I was questioning the sweet tasting fries and admitted that they do add sugar. I never knew! That's the one thing I'll pass on the next time we swing by. I like salt, not sugar on my fries. Yuck! I had the lemon pepper and original hot wings. Just perfect! Lots of seating with plenty of sunlight to keep us from withering. The only thing is that people drive like maniacs in the parking lot, you have to sort of drive around to get to the appropriate drive way to get to the closest parking lot to Wingstop otherwise, just park across the way at Brick House and walk over. Wings and ranch (or blue cheese) are sort of a thing right? I mean...who eats wings without dip? Maybe there are a few people and I certainly am not trying to offend them in any way. Just most people i know eat wings with dip. To me wing places should care, big time, when they don't include the dip. Its not about cost, its about the meal. Its not the same with out dip. (updated review) My family had not had chicken wings in years, and based off of my prior recent satisfactory experience from the Niles Wingstop, I praised this restaurant (and I rarely recommend any restaurants). Unfortunately, we received thin, desiccated wings: many drumettes with minimal tough stringy meat, and thin, sad flats as well. I ordered the fries well done because I like crispier (but not burnt) fries, and they managed to send me home with limp soggy greasy fries. I appreciated being embarrassed in front of my family for recommending Wingstop Niles. They said they thought the wings and fries were okay, but their voices dripped with disappointment and I knew this experience likely traumatized them enough to put chicken wings on their menu hiatus for another few years. Wingstop used to be amazing a couple years ago. Honestly, I want them to be amazing again. I dont know why things have changed, but they're not for the better. You'd think they'd want their customers comfortable while dining in and spending money at their establishment. One would think... I also forgot how they don't provide plates at this location. What dining establishment doesn't offer plates to customers? You're expected to put your wings in the containers that are used for fries. How inconvenient is that?! We spent over $50 on our order and are not even provided any plates to eat on. Also, beware of the lemon pepper wings. They are OVERLY seasoned. WAY TOO SALTY AND SLIGHTLY UNBEARABLE. The fries were also partially burnt. Lastly, we asked to supplement the veggie sticks in which we were also willing to pay the upcharge/difference, but they told us that they could not. We spent over $50 yet you cannot supplement one of our items? I guess it just depends on the location because other locations are willing to accommodate their customers. Little adjustments go a long way. Now I remember why I avoid this location and the reason why I won't return. These things that may seem so unimportant to some may make all the difference to others. Some have described it as a sweaty gym sock or rotten onions. The reason I compare Wingstop to durian fruit is the smell they both emit. Whenever I bring Wingstop home, the smell of feet emanates from the bag, Its not overpowering, but it is there, and its not strong enough to keep me away. We ordered a 40 pc family pack to go. When we got home we realized that they only gave us 30 wings, since we don't live close by and this is the 2nd time this has happened at that particular location (The 1st time this happened we chocked it up to them having an off night and didn't bother complaining) we called to request a refund on the difference. The cashier informed us that they do not refund any money but we can go back and pick up the 10 wings we explained that we do not live close by and would have to get back on the highway which would not be worth driving all the way back when our food would be cold. She said she was not authorized to credit us and that she would have to call her manager. Since she was a bit rude on the phone we asked her for the manager to call us directly to explain the issue. We received a call back from the cashier informing us that " The manager said that she's not going to call you back just for that" and " My manager said this will be the first and the last time that we will credit money back to you, next time you will have to pick up the wings" When we agreed the cashier made the snarky comment " So you'll drive back for the credit but you won't drive back for the wings?" I'm not sure what this establishment does not understand about professionalism, and service but I have never been spoken to that way. Especially when they fulfilled the order that I paid for incorrectly. Instead of being worried about customer service and apologizing for the inconvenience it caused we were made to feel like they were doing us a favor by crediting us the difference. Would it be acceptable for me to demand a 40pc and only pay for a 30pc? I think not! The cashier telling a customer "I didn't pack the order myself if I did it would be right so I don't know what you want me to do but this is the last time we are giving you a credit back" Is always unacceptable. I knew about this place for a long time as I pass it every single time I go to Target on Touhy (everyday.) I went there for the first time this past summer and now...I have Wingstop cravings. First time eating at Wing Stop ever! After sampling the sauces we went with the mango habenero & traditional buffalo-10 pieces bone-in. Wings and fries were served hot & fresh not dried out too the bone or soft. Perfectly cooked. Plenty of sauce. The place was immaculate. The bathroom was the cleanest & smelled fresh. I am nine months pregnant so I stay in the bathroom. This is the cleanest restaurant bathroom I have used in a loooong time. The woman behind counter.....man-I can't remember her name....in her down time cleaned windows, the entrance\exit doors and wiped down tables & counter. I will definitely go back if I am in the area. No worries about growth hormones in these wings. I was meeting a friend and she suggested trying this place. Neither of us have ever eaten here before. They look to have a decent selection. The place is just large enough to hold a small crowd, which is what gathered at Wingstop after we got our order. Both of us settled on the 6 wing combo...I opting for Lemon Pepper and Hawaiian while my friend opted for Teriyaki and BBQ. The combo came with a side of fries and a regular size drink. I actually wound up getting an extra bonus wing which was good since they're so small. But they were tasty. I preferred the lemon pepper over the Hawaiian. And just in case your wings don't have enough flavor, they offer a few dipping sauces, including ranch and honey mustard. Wait time was about 15 minutes which I guess passed by fast while reviewing this new app called Tinder. They're fast in preparing the food, friendly in customer service and if they make a mistake on your order, they go above and beyond in correcting it by giving you more stuff to compensate for what they goofed up on. The wings are delicious and the flavors are impeccable. I've had real authentic buffalo wings before and I have to say the Wingstop comes in at a close 2nd.
