This place never lets us down. It's always great food, great service and never disappoints. There was a small wait at check in being Sunday with the after church crowd. The people waiting were all dressed up in their Sunday's best. Our hostess seated us and we ordered our drinks with our waitress. I decided to try the Spinach dip which was highly recommended by a fellow Yelper. I'm so glad I tried it because it was delicious! It's the best appetizer I had: Ever! It was hot and cheesy with bold delicious flavors and the pita was large and perfectly fried and crispy. I will order this every time we go! I decided on a burger because I was craving one. I opted for the salad instead of fries with their delicious homemade ranch dressing. My burger was so big, I could barely take a bite. I ate half and took the rest home. It was cooked to my liking: medium well and was good, no complaints. My husband's steak was the winner. He gave me a small bite and I started to regret my choices. I think I will get the steak next time. It was to die for. We had another wonderful dinner here. Our waitress was great! Our food was great. The price was great! We will be back next time we are in town. The reason it did not get 5 stars: bathroom needed cleaned and the ribs were not available. My mother in law loves their ribs and although her Filet was delicious, she was really hoping to have her ribs.

We arrived with a party of 10 people (6 adults & 4 children), looking forward to dining together to celebrate my sons birthday. However, we were refused service on the basis of our group size. While I understand that restaurants may have policies regarding large parties, the way the situation was handled felt dismissive and lacking in accommodation or effort to offer alternatives. There was no attempt to seat us other than they told us we could sit in separate sections. Good customer service includes making reasonable efforts to accommodate guests or, at the very least, communicating policies clearly and courteously. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet those expectations. I hope you will take this feedback into consideration to improve how similar situations are handled in the future.

My son ordered the triple play special and added the ribs to it for the additional charge. When the food came the waitress advised that they had run out of ribs. He enjoyed his chicken chunks and onion rings and pretzel bites that came with his meal. My father ordered the Reuben and thought his was ok but not great. I ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich which was supposed to come with mayo and pickles but no mayo and very little pickle. Menu looked decent with various food choices, full bar, numerous tvs playing different things; so we thought a good food experience was in the making. We ordered ribs (1/3 rack) with a half salad $18.98 and the rib combo with brisket and baked sweet potato $26.98. A couple years ago, I was in the Houston TX area for a couple months and I was introduced to Texas BBQ - I fell in love with a particular BBQ restaurant in Spring TX. Meat there is always, juicy and fall-off-the-bone tender and is only open until they run out of BBQ meats for the day (which usually happens on a daily basis). Sadly, Smokehouse 734 didn't even come close on the expectations I had for good BBQ in the Toledo area. The Brisket didn't even look like it was smoked - no bark on the meat at all, no truly define smoke ring, and the fat cap / meat was almost cool to the touch. Usually when brisket is smoked properly and you pick up a slice, it will bend with the juices dripping. This was not the case at Smokehouse 734. The brisket portion was 2 slices that barely covered a slice of bread. My serving of ribs still had the silver skin attached and had to work to get the meat off the bone - not able to pull the bone out of the meat. Ribs were a tad bit warmer than the brisket, but definitely not fresh off the smoker by any means. Cornbread was a bit dry (crumbly) but had a decent flavor. With all this said, probably the best part of my meal was the baked sweet potato at the ala carte price of $4.99. My search for a legit BBQ restaurant in NW Ohio / SE Michigan continues...

The brisket taco's were good I would say 5 out of 10, my husband said 7 or 8 out of 10, the only thing I didn't understand with that was the huge portion of tortilla chips that were under the big chips laid small pieces like they came from the end of the bag. They were just there looking at you like eat me. I was looking at them like hell nah you're dry AF.
