I've now updated it to 5 stars. They changed the way they make the fries on a consistent basis, and it is now always crispy and delicious.

We were looking for a good wing place...WOW...stumbled into the best wing place and arguably the…read morebest Asian food spot as well. We ordered a bit of everything as we read the reviews and FOMO kicked in while reading the menu. We ordered: Fries Pork lo mein Steak fried rice 20 wings with three different sauces: mild buffalo, sticky Asian , and the Joe's spicy lemon-pepper. We also ordered draft beers to wash it all down. The fries came out...nice and crispy with great seasoning. The draft beers are super cold and fresh. The steak fried rice is excellent...a touch of garlic on the super tender steak and the rice is cooked perfectly The pork noodles followed and are delightful and full of flavor. The wings came out next and the buffalo and sticky Asian are nice size wings and really amazing to taste. Joe's lemon pepper options is a dry rub on wings that you can hear the crunch when you bite down. A pop of lemon with a back end of spice in pepper. I leave 5 star reviews but this place has me wishing there was a 6th star available as an option. All this almost made me forgo complement the excellent service we received from Ireland and Chris. The portions are huge, the service is over the top, and this is truly the best wings and Asian food I can remember enjoying in many, many years.

My wife and I ordered the Dirty South, Fish Sandwich and Boudin Balls for app. All 3 dishes were fresh and delish! Seasoning and Spice level was on point. Food came out steaming hot! I couldn't highly recommend this place enough! I'd give it 10 stars if I could!

A true taste of Louisiana right here in Wylie!…read more Finding authentic Cajun food outside of Louisiana is no easy task, especially since my husband's dad passed away--we've missed that true home-cooked flavor so much. The South absolutely hits the spot and brings back all those cherished memories. This is a fantastic, well-run mom-and-pop gem with a warm, welcoming vibe. The wait staff might be young, but they are top-notch: attentive, polite, and efficient. You can instantly tell the owner treats their team with respect because every single employee seems genuinely happy to be there and eager to help. Our absolute favorites: The Dirty South with Blackened Catfish - Flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. Gumbo & Boudin Balls - Rich, authentic, and packed with deep Louisiana flavor. Pro-tip: Don't miss their happy hour between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM! Also, a quick note to address a few confused reviews: this is not a formal "seafood" establishment. It is an authentic Cajun joint that happens to serve incredible seafood--and yes, there is a huge difference! If you want real-deal Cajun comfort food served by people who truly care, please do yourself a favor and check this place out. We will definitely be regulars!

It wasn't too spicy at all. Highly recommend it. Service: The servers here were very attentive and kind! I thought this was a counter order place, but evidently it is not! Dine in, folks! We ordered a 24 piece wing with three flavors, honey garlic, galbi, and Gangnam style. Flavor wise, the honey garlic and Gangnam style were my favorite, but all three were pretty delicious. They all had the right amount of tang, garlic, and acidic profiles. The French fries were perfectly shoestring. The so ddeok so ddeok was fantastic! The sauce hit all the right notes. The fried dumplings were crispy and well seasoned. The service was great; each table had a button to call the server or pay. I only gave it 4 stars bc the fries weren't all that crispy. They could've been far more crispy and salted. The wings also differed in crispy level; some were perfectly crisped, while others were a little soggy. I assume due to the heat and how the wings were placed in the basket, that some were steaming and became soggy. The flavor was there, but some pieces weren't all that crispy. This is a great place to try if in the area. Flavor wise, it's a 5 for sure, but I execution, in our visit was a 4. I'll def be back though.
