Cheese fries are basically just fries. $25.44 for wings with a rationing of sauce and cheese fries with no cheese may as well go to BWW or Raising canes. Also chicken quality is subpar but that's the norm for every Wingstop. Getting all that grease crunch with an absence of chicken. Service is fine except when there's 3 or more customers and that's around the time it's too much to handle. I've seen front counter sweeping when there's 10+ customers and 6 orders waiting on the rack. Nice people just not a great location. read more

First off, horrible customer service. The restaurant itself looked sketchy and rundown. We ordered and came by the exact time it said it would be ready. We waited another 10 minutes. The woman at the front was very rude and seemed like she hates her life. Bless her heart. She couldn't find our order and treated us as though we were an inconvenience. When we get our food, the nuggets were very small and did not look appetizing. They also put our fries in sideways where they fell out into the bag. They were out of ice and the soda machine was super dirty. The drinks were warm. They forgot several items and when we went addressed it, the lady was extremely rude and tried to fight us about it. When she finally read the receipt, she asked for our bag???? She even gave us the items. The whole experience was disappointing. Okay I'm gonna be honest. This specific Wingstop is struggling in all aspects. The quality of the food is unfortunate and inconsistent. The sauce is just wrong I don't know how to explain it, but none of their sauces taste like they usually do from other Wingstops. It's almost like it's just oil/butter with no flavor or wings that usually don't have heat are super spicy like the Hawaiian tasted like a watered down mango habanero. I understand that it's close to campus and that's convenient, but I'd rather drive all the way to the Wingstop on slide road instead. The staff have been friendly and have kindly remade an order for me, but they looked tired and understaffed. Listen to these reviews and just drive across town to a different Wingstop location. I'm not sure what's going wrong with the sauce, but something is and if it's not the sauce on other days the wings are much smaller than normal. I've given this place multiple second chances over the past 4 years, but overall inconsistent and a bit rough. Maybe I've just caught them on multiple bad days. Wingstops' seasoned fries and "cheap" boneless wings are definately a craving of mine. This location is at a very convinient spot for me because of how close it is to where I live. However, it's too close to the Walmart to be declared to be around a nice neighborhood. It forms a great trio with the other 3 pretty decent restaurants next to it: Cheezie's and Lucky Chens (from what I have heard). The establishment itself is pretty small, contaning the front counter (kitchen in the background), several tables eventually leading to the back exit and the restrooms. It is usually busy at anytime I am there, full with medium sized families and college students grabbing a bite to eat. Busy place, but you can always order online to get your quick fill. My orders usually consist on the boneless wings to save some money (they usually have a special on tuesdays and combos), and their deliciously addictive seasoned fries. The fries are sweet and salty, just right. This is one of the places where I don't really like the Hot or Mild sauces, they just don't taste as great to me as maybe the Chilis' buffalo bites or some other restaurants. Instead my top 2 are the Lemon pepper and the Korean Sauce. The Lemon pepper is a seasoning but brings good flavor to the good nuggety chicken. The Korean is unique like a sweet BBQ (bulgogi) and has a kick. The staff there was vary depending on who's shift and what mood they are in, but usually the service is pretty good. I just wish someone would check on the tables sometimes to make sure they're clean and things are refilled. read more

I tried this Wingstop because it was close to my conference location. The service was prompt. I ordered by phone and it was ready in 20 min when I arrived. The Lemon pepper wings were well seasoned. The fries were meh. They were soggy and limp. Disappointing. The best part was the wings. Also the drink machine was one of those fancy red touch screens-which is usually great, but they were out of sprite and all derivatives thereof. Plus the tray was spilling melted ice water onto the floor. If I'm in the area again I might give them another try. read more

This one wing stop was different than I'm used to I the Dallas area. This was not far from campus and Seemed older and rather small to dine in. It also was dirty, greasy and smelled liked a deep fryer. Wings were just as good as every other wing stop I've eaten at, however the French fries were not the same as the ones in the DFW area. They were not anywhere near as good as I usually like their French fries. If your going here get them to go and if your from the DFW area plan on being disappointed in the fries. We visited this location around 10pm one night after a long ride into Lubbock. The staff was very laid back (TOO laid back). The cashier was wearing sweat pants that exposed HALF of his buttocks, and had a very "chill" attitude. So chill, it felt as if we had walked into his living room, not a place of business where he was ready to greet, and serve his customers politely. He took our order, and informed us AFTER placing it, that it would take 25-30 MINUTES to get it. We took a seat, and waited. The tables, and chairs were filthy. The wall beside our table was covered in old wing sauce. The window into the kitchen was disgusting as well, with wing sauce smeared all over it. The soda fountain was a touch screen one. It too was filthy, and covered in a sticky, oily film of residue from people's hands. The machine was also LEAKING WATER on the floor. A female employee that HAD been working in the kitchen, kept walking past us (maybe 3 turns), back and forth to the bathroom. Each time she was on the phone. The guests at the table next to us had left their trash behind, and she would just walk right by it. On her second trip by, she swiped the trash off of it, but never returned to wipe it down, or sanitize it. When we left, she was STILL in the bathroom, presumably on her phone still as well. We had ordered a large meal. 10 wings total, with fries and a drink, and a beer for my hubby. His wings were decent. MY WINGS WERE COLD, DRY, AND TINY. THEY HAD MORE BREADING THAN MEAT ON THEM. I've never had such terrible wings from a Wing Stop. I would NOT recommend this place to ANYONE. It makes me feel like I was very fortunate NOT TO GET SICK AFTER EATING AT THIS PLACE. The food is nothing without its customer service. As you can see from the reviews at this location, this place is garbage. I rather make some wings at home than to eat anything that the people make here. The way they present themselves to the way the food is prepared and given to the customer; is not anywhere near standards. This is the worst Wingstop in the entire franchise. If you call in an order, you show up and you don't know what you are going to get. You might as well say 'give me 22 dollars worth of whatever you want to' as to save time ordering items you surely won't receive. If you do an online order you will get what you ordered, but it won't be ready when you get there because their machine is never working. Be prepared to present your receipt! They also have a fancy Coke machine, like the other locations, but this particular location never has any of the flavors. If I was corporate Wingstop, I'd close the franchisee down for tarnishing the Wingstop brand. You can complain to the owner out of Dallas but you're wasting your breath. Other Lubbock locations are better, for the most part, but this one is close to work and I am cursed with loving the wings a little too much. On top of that, they must've been backed up because when I walked in to order for dine in, they told me they're not taking orders. I told them, "I'm aware y'all are busy. I'll wait." This is the best location in town. Hands down. They are always really friendly and nice on the phone. Wing Stop is one of my biggest guilty pleasures. I have had a few terrible experiences at the Slide location sadly. They forgot my food once and did not even apologize or offer any compensation. It took an hour all in all to actually get my food. Anyways, back to this location. The reason I took away two stars from perfect is the quality seems to be going down and the price going up. The wings were very dry when I got them last night. I'd give a zero star review if I could. I placed an online order, went home and realized that the order was incorrect. I called wingstop immediately and they told me they'd remake the order and I could come pick it up in 28 minutes. I came back just over 30 minutes later and the food wasn't ready. Then I was yelled at by one of the employees for not bringing the incorrect food back just so they could throw it in the trash. I told them that I lived far away and asked if they expected me to drive all the way back to bring the wrong food back just so they could throw it away, and the same employee yelled at me "where the food at". At that point I was done and just left wingstop because it makes no sense for me to be yelled at when I acted completely respectful, and for me to go all the way back home and get the wrong order, drive all the way back, have them throw the food away in order to give me the correct food I paid and ordered in the first place. Wish I could give this place negative stars. The most unprofessional, rude, and unorganized staff I have seen in a long long time. Waited 30 minutes for my order (11 longer than the time promised). Only when I started noticing people receiving food who clearly came in after me did I question where my food was. I was told it would be right up but then overheard the staff announce that they hadn't even started the order. So let's add lying to their list of charges. After 10 more minutes my friend was finished and I'd had enough of watching these clowns. I asked for a refund. I was told my food was coming, but informed them my friend was done and so was I. Did I get an apology, or an offer to comp the food. Of course not. What I got was another 5 minute wait and an extra dose of attitude. If you're the franchise owner of this hot mess do yourself the favor and discharge those staff members that are ruining your business.
