Not even the service, which is always just off... but the food, came in a couple weeks back, hey chicken sandwich day, buy one get one... ok so I stroll in on a cheap chicken high, order their most spicy sauce and a new flavor of hot honey. Now I know they're not gonna be as hot as the reaper from Dave's, but I do expect it to you know make me a little uncomfortable for a minute. Don't get me started on the hot honey. I got for my son. It was just buffalo sauce. It tasted like generic buffalo sauce. Nothing exciting nothing new. Maybe they ran out of the correct sauce or maybe it's just a buffalo sauce who knows. I don't have a lot of one star reviews, but I really passionately feel like wake up is messed up, not only on their supply chain of getting good products, but also just everything besides their appearance and their namesake. Seriously though it's under the two for three dollars Jack-in-the-Box chicken sandwiches. It's under KFC and Popeyes and Chick-fil-A. I ordered wings 30 minutes ahead of my arrival. When I got there they had given my order to someone else. I waited for another 20 minutes to get the replacement order and should have checked to make sure it was the right order only to find when I got home to Sandy that I received all plain unseasoned wings. When I called and spoke to the manager I was told that I had to drive all the way back to Gresham (40 mins) to get them exchanged out. When I told them that was not an option and that I wanted to speak to who ever was above this person they were unwilling until I kept insisting on a return call. The gal up front wasn't asking anyone for order names instead was helping the back while over 10 people were trying to pick up orders. I watched three people pick up their orders and come right back in saying their order was missing something. People waiting in the restaurant for their food said they've been waiting over 45 minutes. I've tried to call in an order multiple times and they NEVER and I repeat NEVER answer their phone. Their recording, which says "Right now we're saucing up some wings and we'll be right with you" goes on and on and on and they NEVER answer the phone. They want you to place an order online, but if you're driving, that's a little difficult to do. You can also order with an automated server on the phone but it can't take special orders and you just end up asking to speak to someone, and they NEVER, EVER PICK UP THE PHONE! I finally decided to give them the crappy review they deserve. They've missed out on my business several times and all they would have had to do is pick up the phone. Winner!! Winner!! Chicken Wing Dinner!! I am a big fan of a good chicken wing and believe I am ready to crown the new King. The crown goes to Wing Stop. Wing Stop makes a great chicken wing and they are my new go to place for wings. I really loved that the wings weren't super greasy and that their flavor selection is comparable to other chains. I tried the boneless garlic parmesan and the boneless lemon pepper. Both were amazingly delicious. The chicken was super moist and seasoned just right. I also enjoyed that this location wasn't super crowded and noisy like Buffalo Wild Wings. There lobby area is large with plenty of TV'S to go around. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. I ordered 5 garlic parmesan boneless wings... and 5 bbq mild mixed boneless wings... they were a good size.... very crispy... and covered in sauce! Their homemade ranch is awesome!!!! It does cost extra for sauce... just know that. I also ordered some fresh cut fries. Honestly -- I only got these because the guy before me was complaining about his order because he thought it was too salty.... in general and I always think these things are not salty enough. I'm not sure what seasoning they use but I freaking love these fries! Omg I will forever get these... I love the seasoning. I asked them to be cooked crispy. They were... and they were yummy! I came here during a Blazer game to eat since local business around were busy and jammed packed. Surprisingly since the game started at 6PM, there weren't that many people inside the restaurant yet. I was able to place my order fairly quickly but noticed that the price I was charged didn't reflect the price on the board they presented (this was a disappointment). I was also given 2 choices of dip and I asked for 1 ranch and 1 honey mustard but was given 2 ranches and charged for an extra honey mustard. It was .95 cents, I didn't want to get back in line and get a refund for that amount. I also remember asking for all flats, that wasn't noted on my receipt, which it usually does, so luckily I caught that and let them know to change it. When I received the fries, they seemed very soggy and not cooked all the way. At one point I just felt like I was eating raw potatoes. Even the burnt ones were soggy and didn't taste like fries. I attached 2 photos of my mild flavor wings, these wings were at the bottom of my tray and they tasted cold, and bland. The sauce didn't even make it on the chicken and they just didn't look appealing. The soda machines here were all warm, and the fruit punch just spat out water. Fair warning, they don't have the fancy select any soda machine here. It's limited to about 5 choices. I've been here before and had the same experience. I never questioned it because it was late at night and thought this was "the closing experience." Now that I've been here during their rush hour, I've noticed how bad this place is compared to other Wingstop in the SE area. Wingstop is hands down my favorite place to get wings. I love the variety of flavors they offer and the wings are always so perfectly crisp. My favorite is lemon pepper and the original hot. The fries here are also sooo good, always so seasoned perfectly and a good mixture of sweet and salty. Recently tried the fried corn with cajun seasoning and it's a really good alternative to the fries (or just get both!) I did dock it down one star because location can be inconsistent with the amount flavoring that is used on the wings. Sometimes there's not enough and sometimes theres just too much that it's almost too salty to consume. read more
