Wingstop is one of those pleasures in every town. It's rare you actually find one that has CONSISTENTLY good taste and service. I got lucky when I started coming to this location. I love that when I place an online order it's ready on time. I appreciate that the wings and fries are 6/10 fresh and cooked well!! Personally I like the rolls more than the fries. Actually I hate the fries and just get flats and a roll and I'm full. Surprised to see all the bad reviews on this Wingstop, this location is great! I mainly order through Postmates or Doordash, and I've never had any problems. I've also gone in person a few times and the service there is good, one worker has phenomenal customer service and is super personable. Wings are great, fries are great. My husband and I really enjoy their chicken tenders with lemon pepper seasoning however the last two times we have gone the place has been absolutely filthy. Garbage all over the tables and floors and workers standing around talking vs cleaning. I requested the store manager's name and called her to notify her while we sat and waited for our food. She seemed concerned on the phone and said she would call the staff however we sat and ate for another 30 minutes the tables and floors remained dirty. A long time ago, I used to go home from my high school and pass through the parking lot of a KFC. The smell was so bad, that I stopped eating there, at Churches, and other places that had that putrid, old grease, stank. I'm doomed. OK, I was actually really excited to see a Wing Stop opening so close to me, but now that they are open, they will be sorely testing my self-control. I can call ahead and my order will be ready by the time I walk over. *sigh* That's ANOTHER day at the gym each week... Quality and atmosphere are much the same as the other Wing Stop I've been to, which is to say very tasty, well-prepared wings in well-balanced sauces. (I like the Original, BBQ, and Teriyaki.) The walls are adorned with photos and diagrams of historic planes and pilots, and the restrooms are sparkly-clean, large, and appear fully handicap accessible. My only complaint is that they forgot to include the celery sticks in my order, but since it's clear that many of the staff are still training, I'll chalk it up to the kinks every business has early on - they're still in their soft opening; the Grand Opening will be in another week or two. This was first time trying Wingstop, ever. After seeing all the less than stellar reviews at pretty much all the Wingstop locations I was a bit concerned but was craving wings so in I went, on a weekend around noon. I ordered the medium combo which came with 8 chicken wings (garlic parmesan, lemon pepper), dip (ranch), fries and a 20 oz drink (bottle of water). The person taking my order was efficient. I sat down at one of empty tables. Only two other tables were taken at this time and one was for a party taking their order to go. After a 15 minute wait, my order was ready. I'm guessing from the wait time the wings are made fresh for each order. I hadn't quite expected the fries to be so large. It could have easily been shared by 2 or 3 people! The wings were hot and fresh out of the fryer. I preferred the lemon pepper wings over the garlic ones but both were good. They wings were big, plump and had very juicy meat. The wings were very well fried - super crispy. The fries were good but not great, as they could have been more crisp. In general, the food is on the salty side. I also moved my wings away from the bottom of the basket as I found more than a tablespoon of grease pooled there. It's best to let them drain a bit. This was a lot of food and even though I didn't finish even half the fries, I was full for the rest of the day. For the quantity and quality, I would say the prices are fair. The very confusing thing is that there are no trash cans. There were no signs directing customers as to what to do with their trash. Does one bring the tray back to the counter or does one leave it on the table? One customer ordered his food to go, but ate it in the restaurant. He then dumped his trash in the garbage can outside. Again, confusing. A plus for this location is that it was clean. The tables were all clean, as where the floors. There was no trash, crumbs or food remains anywhere. This location is in a strip mall so there is parking everywhere, although it's very busy on the weekends. read more

This is by far the worst wingstop i have been to! Now for the past several orders something or the other is always incorrect. This past weekend we placed an order online and it said order ready in16-21 mins. We showed up 20 mins later and the worker there asked what name and my fiancé told him and when the worker Dorrian, said another name back my fiancé said no and spelled out his whole name for him. My fiancé paid for the order and then We were told the order need about another 10 mins fine no issue we went back later. We come back and another worker was there and she kept saying that we hadn't paid for our order. We explained that we paid the other worker. We then had to wait for the worker to return from some task he was completing. When the worker came we found out we were charged for the wrong order. We showed our online order confirmation and the bank charge (because they Didnt give us a receipt) my fiancé asked why it was so much, we found out the worker charged our order to someone else and charged us for someone else's order. When we asked for the right amount and receipt the worker started yelling at us! The other lady worker refunded the overcharged amount, but Dorian, He kept talking over us and wouldnt even let us explain that we placed an online order how do you mess that up and spelled out our name?! The worker became increasingly rude and the other workers just stood around watching. The owners need to really re-evaluate their training and manners of the staff and the quality of the food too. The worker was making rude gestures when there was no fault of ours. The other issue was this worker kept pulling his mask lower to yell at us, which is unacceptable all around. Let's go get some hot wings! We purchased the 20 wings with atomic and original hot flavor. The guy double checked that we wanted atomic, and asked if we could handle it. We chuckled and said "of course" as painful flashback's a previous experience with suicide wings came to mind. So we got that and a soda for about $15, so yes, it's a bit pricey. I'd suggest calling in an order if you're in a rush because they take about 15 minutes to make. How were the wings? Not too bad. The Atomic wings were spicy, but not nearly as hot as I was hoping for. When I go back I'll just be getting original hot and maybe some other flavor. The flavor of the original hot was much better than the black peppered atomic wings. I didn't get a chance to try the fries, but they sure smelled good. I remember eating a 2 strip chicken tenderloin with lemon pepper sauce on the side once....though the meat itself was delicious (and fried, head shake....), the small order took forever to prepare, and I warn ya now... don't be in a hurry if you've just gotta have some Wing Stop. I love the wings here. The wings aren't covered in breading and they are deep fried until the skin is crisp-a-licious! The wing sauces and the dressings are made in-house - and are quite yummy. The french fries are EXCELLENT... and sprinkled with seasoned salt to boot. I stick with Original Hot sauce and the Ranch dressing and I like to get the sauce on the side so the skin stays crisp. My husband is taken with the Garlic Parmesan sauce - it makes the wings taste like buttered popcorn. I eat here about once a week - and I'd be here more if only my husband liked wings like I do. The staff here are extremely nice and helpful... and the restaurant is kept in spotless condition. It's even a pretty pleasant place to dine in - the music is always great - think Buena Vista Social Club. And I always get a chuckle because their sugar packets are from Wendys. The only thing I'm not too crazy about here are the napkins. They use a big roll of unperforated brown paper towels. For such messy food, I'd like a better napkin. I think Wing Stop is an excellent addition to the casual dining options in El Cerrito. This location used to be a tough spot for restaurants - it used to be a stinky Togo's... and then it was a Louisiana Fried Chicken... but the Wing Stop has brought a vitality to the space that was really lacking before. This place does not work for me.. Period. Food takes over 15 minutes for wings and fries and their drink station is behind the counter. The staff are usually in the back so you have to shout "Excuse me" to get their attention to refill your soda. You get a full loaded basket of fries that is well seasoned, and the chicken is somewhat decent, but nothing that really stand out nor worth the wait. (Teriyaki and Hawaiian taste the same.) You can order online as well which is cool. The wings themselves were pretty standard. I liked the fries ... though I had to cook them again to crunch them up. They seem to sprinkle sugar on them which I've never seen done before. I order a six piece combo all flat Louisiana rub and a 10 piece combo all flat Louisiana rub and lemon pepper. Give us all Cajun wings instead of Louisiana rub and on the 10 piece combo we got all drums I brought it up the next morning because by the time I got home and checked the bag they were closed. Went through it one type at a time, about 10 times over, maybe more. I even used my fingers at one point. Very understanding and normal on my part. I ended up getting a whole stack of ranches and blue cheese, like 8 in total. Nuts. The count was also off by one wing for two of the types. I talked very carefully, slowly, not fast. Guy didn't seem nervous at all, nothing. It just seemed like I was talking and there must have been a hologram in front of him overlapping my face like a Deepfake saying something else. Started to think he was messing with me, but I'm starting to think he was genuinely daft. Last guy I was helped by, asian kid, I asked for 3 different flavors, 10 each. 3 times I explained this, same, calm and normal. I get the stuff, only 20 wings in the bag. I order ranch and blue cheese. I give him a $5 bill. Total is $2.51 (Fifty One) I find a penny on the counter, give him that so I could get 50 cents, 2 quarters right? He gives me 1 quarter, a nickel, and 4 pennies. Even if it was 61 cents, how do you get that wrong? I even said twice, Fifty. Several other times the wing amounts were wrong with others. That was pre-covid. Now I understand we are under duress with Covid-19, but damn. Also, some of the wings from here are weird. The second time I went which was today they charged me extra which I could tell was a mistake so I wasn't too upset. But I went home and my fries weren't in there. Then when I went back they gave me unseasoned dry fries. That was definitely the last straw. They don't care about what they put in your bag or what you go home with. They just want your money. There are times when I just crave lemon pepper wings from wingstop. It's true that they don't have much meat to them but most chickens aren't huge with huge wings. Although I've been to other wingstops where the bottom of my wing basket had a layer of oil, my wings here were perfectly fried with very minimal grease/oil at the bottom. The fries were crunchy and a bit sweet in wingstop fashion. The only thing I would improve would be the sauces. My ranch was extremely runny that it wouldn't really stay on my chicken. Luckily the chicken was good without the sauce so I opted to stop using it after my third wing attempt. You will need to wait a little whole for them to cook your order since it is made to order.
