This is the worst managed restaurant I've ever experienced. On a Friday night, they have 2 employees working the floor, the kitchen, and the registers. There are over 30 people in the lobby, waiting for food, waiting to order, waiting for cups, waiting for straws, waiting for someone to clean up the water hazard in the middle of the floor. This would seem like a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but it happens EVERY time I've tried to order food here- it's just constant stress and bewilderment for employees. I really enjoy going to Wing Stop and I'm glad they have now opened a location in Davis. There are places that serve wings in the area, but not dedicated to them like Wing Stop is. I love the selection of different wings you can get here. The wings are tasty, and I think with a little time, you will find a favorite on the menu. Admittedly, chicken wings are a bit on the pricey side for something so small and quickly eaten. My go-to order is the 10 wing combo that includes a side and a drink. It's over ten dollars... and might fill you up if you're not super hungy. But it's really delicious! I usually go for the lemon pepper chicken and then something else a little spicier. Recently, I've really been into the Louisiana rub. It's a dryer and saltier wing, but it is popping with flavor. There is the option to either go boneless or bone-in. Bone-in chicken takes a bit longer to cook up, but it's worth it. In my opinion, the bone-in chicken is far superior to the boneless ones. Speaking of taking some time... it does take a while for them to make your order. The wings are cooked up fresh so you'll be looking at around 15 minutes for them to get you your food. If you're in a hurry, I would probably go somewhere else. So if you're going to go to Wing Stop, plan accordingly! My favorite side is their fries. They aren't anything super special, but they are tasty nonetheless. I usually order them with the melted cheese on the top, just because that's a little unique. It's good... but not mind blowing. In fact, the melty cheese makes the fries a bit too soft and gooey. I tried their bourbon baked beans the last time I came here. They had a very strong bourbon taste to them. In terms of grudges my wife and I would get 4 stars. We had not gone back to this location for 8 years, if we held out for another 2 years and got up to a full decade that would have been a 5 star effort. Alas, we finally caved when we found out that they were serving up thighs, our favorite piece of chicken. The end of our long Davis Wingstop (Thighstop) grudge was not met with positive results however. My wife and I have been to countless other wingstop locations and enjoy the fries and wings. We know what we are getting when we order now. So to try the thighs we got our normal wing flavors. Her go to: lemon pepper and garlic parm; my go to: Louisiana. We got the boneless thigh pieces, plain, for our kids (who were not alive when this grudge started). The verdict (after waiting well over an hour for our food by the way): Lemon pepper was good, as usual. Garlic parm was plain, almost nonexistent.... like perhaps they didn't season them. Speaking of nonexistent, my thighs were a giant no show. We got three boxes making us think we had a complete order, but alas there were two thighs in one box (lemon pepper) and three thighs (garlic parm?) in the other. The thigh bits were actually pretty good. They have tons of crispy bits which I can get down on. Overall, this place is yet again a bust, just for different reasons this time. I find myself frequenting this location more often than I expect due to convenience. If you have time and are willing to travel, I suggest going to the Wingstop in West Sacramento by IKEA. Though they have gotten better over time, they are still inconsistent. Some days their wings and fries will be perfectly fresh and seasoned, other days the wings will be too greasy and their fries bland and not fresh. My favorite flavors at this location are lemon pepper, Louisiana rub, mild, and garlic parmesan. Ask for extra seasoning for the fries on the side. Also, they now charge $1 extra if you request all flats, so make sure they actually give you all flats! They messed up on our order the last time I went in, but were very nice about frying up a new batch for us. Plus, we got three extra wings thrown in there! They're pretty good at having your food ready by their quoted time. Call in on your way even if you're planning to dine in. Your food should be ready within 5 minutes of your arrival if you time it accurately. I have noticed that Tuesday nights are quite crowded due to $5.50 movie Tuesdays, so if you want your food ASAP, choose another day to go! read more

This evening my partner picked up an order I had placed for pickup at 6:30. I placed the order around 3:30 and there was some sort of mixup and the order was made right after I placed the order. My partner brought home cold wings with a missing side, so I called the restaurant. I think the gentleman that helped me was named John and he was able to get the order remade for pickup. I came here with my best friend and three of her apartment mates. One of her apt mates decided to order his own chicken wings whilst the rest of us chose to order one of those "pick three flavors; get thirty chicken wings plus fries and veggies" deals. My best friend was super generous and sweet and picked up the tab... which meant that she interacted with the cashier to place the order. We wanted the garlic Parmesan, hickory smoked BBQ, and atomic flavors. For some reason, the guy taking the order didn't understand her, so she had to repeat herself again. This just led to more confusion, and the guy repeated her order very slowly... Luckily, one of the workers (her name was Alejandra) recognized my best friend and successfully took down the order. Alejandra also recommended that we get the cheese fries, so we did that. After the order was placed, we all sat down and talked. One of the apt mates already retrieved his meal (which was an order of chicken wings {lemon pepper and original hot} and french fries... but they messed up and gave him two french fries). Our order of thirty wings took a really long time (either that or we were just hungry... but I think it was probably both). When our food finally came out, we unpacked everything from the bag (we clearly said that we were eating at the restaurant and not to-go) and started eating. The atomic chicken was definitely the spiciest. It was sprinkled with like black peppercorns and drenched in hot sauce. If you follow up the atomic chicken with one of the BBQ chicken wings, it's not so bad (the sweetness of the BBQ sauce quells the intensity of the atomic chicken). I thought the garlic Parmesan chicken was decent... but I liked the other flavors better. The french fries were so yummy! They're seasoned with something that's super addictive (salt... and other spices) and we couldn't stop eating them. The cheese that was supposed to be part of the "cheese fries" was pretty much nacho cheese in this little container. I wasn't too fond of it because the fries were good on their own (no ketchup necessary, either). I also was quite fond of the bleu cheese dressing/ dipping sauce! It was creamy and had chunks of bleu cheese in it. The sauce came in handy for dipping when we decided to eat the wimpy (i.e. skinny and few) sticks of celery and carrots that came with our meal. When we were done with our food, we weren't sure whether or not we were supposed to clean up after ourselves. We looked around for trash cans, but there were none to be seen! We were also confused about where the napkins were located (when we found them, we realized that it was hard to tear the napkins cleanly when our hands were covered with sauce). I think they should have napkin dispensers on every table. Aside from that, the chicken was pretty tasty!
