The bill came to nearly $50 and when I looked, they charged me $16.99 for a salmon Caesar salad that was nowhere on the menu and then add a $7.99 shrimp skewer that was listed under the steak menu. I asked the waitress what was she doing, and where did she come up with the prices that weren't on the menu. I asked for a manager and this was also a nightmare. I first asked her to show me on the menu where the Salmon Caesar salad was listed and why they also changed me $7.99 for shrimp when you specifically state it's$4.30? They also stated that we couldn't double up the add on's. There was NO statement on that and NO salmon Caesar Salad on the menu. The difference from what I ordered and what they changed was $10.00. The 20+ year old manager couldn't see the difference and first offered only a $4 discount and then agreed to another $4.50 discount which still doesn't get to the $10 difference. This place was a joke, and the waitress should have stated that what I pointed out on the menu was not what she had entered in. The spices on the apple filling on the fried pies were perfect, and I savored every bite that I stole from my husband. My dessert was the Hershey bar cake, which I split with one of my littles. It didn't have a thick layer of icing, which was great. The cake had a nice crumb, and was sweet without being overly sweet. If you haven't been here yet, make sure to take note of their hours and then take a trip to Asheboro. Once you've finished your meal, feel free to take a stroll around downtown and know that you've just had the best meal around.
