First thing... you order from a kiosk when you walk in. Kinda cute honestly. The spot is small but they have TVs going and little Connect Four games on the tables so it has a fun vibe. Nicole was working and she was genuinely warm and welcoming. Not that fake "hi welcome in" energy . She actually made you feel like you were supposed to be there. I did my research before going so we passed on the catfish (the reviews on that were not it). Instead I got the Large Garlic Noodles, Chicken & Sausage Rasta Pasta, and the Crawfish & Sausage Mac N Cheese. All three were hitting. Like actually good, not just hype good. After the food came I decided to try the watermelon lemonade and that was a solid decision. Not too sweet, really refreshing. For dessert we grabbed the Peach Cobbler out of the display case. It came in a little tin that it was made in, and it was slightly dry, but the flavor was there. Tasty, just needs some work. Came out to $70.25 total which honestly felt right for what we got. We will be back to try more stuff for sure. Maybe the protein items next time.

We were just told to sit ourselves. We sat for 20 minutes before a host walked past and finally handed us menus. After that, our server, Liz, took care of tables that came in after us - walking right past ours multiple times without stopping or acknowledging us at all. We ended up giving up on the table and playing pool instead. We mentioned what happened to the bartender, who was also the manager on duty, and she just said "you'll have to talk to her" - no attempt to fix the situation or apologize. By 6 PM -almost two hours after we sat down -we still had not been served by a single person. No water, no drink order, nothing. This is the second time this has happened to us with the same server - we had the identical experience about three months ago. An empty dining room, tables that came in after us getting served, and we're the only ones completely ignored for two hours -- that's not a fluke, it's a pattern. We have been playing Here for years. I Won't be back.

My thing last time was just hating how everything, & I mean everything, was drenched in sauce. Swimming. So this time, requested for the sauce to be on the side. I got a combo plate: Chicken, Tri-tip, green beans, greens, and the medium sauce on the side. Chicken: A bit dry, but it was okay - just lacks flavor without the sauce. Tri-tip: Dry, chewy, bouncy, and lacks flavor, similarly to the chicken. Greens & green beans: They were decent! I actually really like the green beans a lot & ate it fairly quick! The flavor was there. The veggies (all of them) were cooked at the right consistency, not too soft, not too firm! The bread that it comes with: 2 slices of (what seems to be) wheat bread, a fork, and napkins, in a ziplock bag... The sauce: the sauce is good! It's got a decent kick to it! And the flavor is also alright. Service: service was good and straight forward. I also received the food quickly. Portions: I received a full plate, and I couldn't ask for more! It was packed in there! Overall, despite the positives, the negatives outweigh it. The main thing I came for was the meat, and was highly disappointed by it. If I need sauce to make it better (which didn't make it much better, considering how dry the meat itself was), then the BBQ isn't good. Thankfully the sides were great & portions were big, and service was also a plus, the main reason I decided to order was a flop. The quality of the meat or how it is cooked was disappointing.
