Are You Kidding Me? $1.75 for Mayo? Wings Richmond just lost a customer over one of the most ridiculous, petty charges I've ever seen. I ordered their lunch special Chicken Clubhouse sandwich which comes with a side order of fries and asked for some mayonnaise. Nothing special just Mayo, because there was barely any sauce in the sandwich to begin with. No one told me there would be an extra charge, no warning, no signs, nothing. Then I check the bill and find out they charged me $1.75 plus tax for MAYONNAISE. Seriously? What kind of joke is this? You're already charging full price for a sandwich lacking in condiments and then sneak in a $1.75 fee for a basic condiment without saying anything? That's not just bad service that's straight up scammy. If you're going to nickel-and-dime your customers for basic condiments, at least be upfront about it. Hiding it until the bill shows up is just shady and unprofessional. On top of that they labelled the mayonnaise as "Ranch Dip" because there's absolutely no mention anywhere on the menus for mayo. When I asked the manager about it and presented the menu to show there was absolutely no mention of charges on the menu for mayo, they simply just didn't care. She brushed it off like it's totally normal to charge customers extra without telling them. It's not about the money or the amount, it's the principle about the shady way they handle customers. If you want to get gouged for condiments and treated like an afterthought, this is the place for you. Otherwise, skip this place and spend your money somewhere that respects its customers. Soft opening of Wings Richmond today. The place is spacious and located near Ironwood Mall. It has the same specials as other Wings location. The owner took over the Original Joe's location in April and renovated the place, install all new equipment and trained all new staff for this location in 2 months. Pretty impressive, eh? Foodwise.... it tastes the same as other Wings at other branches and a wide selection of beer and alcohol. So happy that it is finally opened on Richmond. read more

We were welcomed by a masked server and asked to give a phone number and a name, which is totally understandable but an interesting experience due to coronavirus situation. This place is very spacious and they have booths where you are kind of isolated from each other, so it feels pretty safe in the midst of pandemic. The food was very good but came in big portions so we couldn't finish it. Good thing they gave us a nice little canvas takeout bag along with boxes. I've been here twice on (half off wine) Tuesdays and I enjoyed both visits! I hate tight spaces and lining up so I liked that this isn't as crowded (due to the location) as the downtown Wings on Granville. I love their lunch specials.. specifically the mushroom lasagna and wings. I highly recommend their sun dried tomato pasta as well. They have a big variety of wings (obviously! Lol) -top off my head, Ive already tried the (deadly!) bobby, jakarta heat, salt and pepper, manila adobo (my least favourite -it wasn't as "saucy" as the adobo i'm used to). Service is always pleasant and with a smile. Overall, I'm surprised this place doesn't have higher reviews. Came by for a baseball team reunion here on Sunday night. I read all sorts of reviews on Yelp and elsewhere on the Internet in order to get a sense of what to order and what to stay away from. It seemed to me that wings were hit or miss, which is hard to swallow given, well, the restaurant's name! Given that Sunday is wings special day, we did end up ordering wings, and I'm pleased to say that they were tasty. I'm by no means a connoisseur, but the ones I tried were flavourful and had a good amount of chicken to them. We ordered ten different kinds and I was able to try about half of those. On the other hand, the nachos were subpar. Our waitress pointed out to us that the kitchen had forgotten to put cheese on them....enough said, right? We did end up sending them back to have the cheese added, but the chips were pretty plain and lacked any kind of punch. A plate of yam fries also made its way to the table, and though delicious, it was really small. For ~$9, I would expect more than 25 small fries on a plate. Lastly, the mozzarella sticks were decent, but not something I would go out of my way to order again. Wings has a pretty good selection of beer. Our group ordered four different jugs of domestic beer and had little difficulty sloshing our way through , myself included. If memory serves we had a lager, a pale ale, an IPA and one other. Overall, we had a good experience here. Our servers were attentive, the food was pretty good and I felt like our group of ten had a good amount of space. I went at an odd hour after an outing so the restaurant is quite. We were greeted fairly quickly as we walk it, and our server came shortly after. My little ordered Alfredo pasta, entree was good portion and hot. The pasta is garlicky with just right amount of sauce for my little. I suggest to ask for extra cheese for the pasta. For side, he order steamed veggie which have broccoli and carrot, nothing was added with steam veggie, my kid loves it just that way. Drink is just fountain variety. Wings!! - we ordered from happy hour which is $7 for wings and fries, 5 wings and a plate of fries seems a bit on the high end in price. All 4 orders of wings were big and juicy, it is served on top of fries which tasted very much like McCain's. I order both wet and dry. Sriracha honey, Korean sesame as well as honey garlic. They all taste similar (perhaps because they all have honey?). Dry wings I order maple bourbon, which we mainly only taste cinnamon. Also ordered nacho, decent size and I have to say their chips were very crispy and warm which is a plus, the cheese is stringy but there is no taste to the cheese, salad was blend as well. Food 2/5 - The wings were all so dry (almost tasteless). There wasn't enough sauce or flavour. Once we asked for additional sauces, it made everything better. The burgers were very very dry as well. There were no sauce in them (we had to ask/add ketchup). Pricing 3/5 - we went on a Wednesday so we got the half off wings. The mini burgers were quite expensive considering they were nothing special - $12 for 3. Atmosphere/ service 5/5 - the restaurant is very nice and I can it see it being very popular during game nights. The service was great, a ton of staff. But my last visit I had a server that as nice as she was, seemed to irk me a bit that I couldn't place. I had some bones on a plate with some shrimp tails and she just came over and took my plate and emptied them in the bucket. Sure that's something I would normally do but she just decided to do it for me. Ok maybe she was trying to be helpful but when we asked for some boxes to take the leftovers home, she said that normally we can't take home wings and have to eat them all. Now that bothered me. When she said that management and corporate said it's not allowed, that really ticked me off. Seriously??? I can get chicken wings elsewhere and food that is better elsewhere and if I can't eat it all. That's ok. I can take it home. It's leftovers, isn't it?! I told her then why would I bother to go eat there if that was the case and we've eaten there a bunch of times before. Brought my family there, friends and colleagues. She did mention that some people would order a bunch and then decide to take them home but we just ordered three sets. One for me plus pasta and two for my friend but he couldn't finish them all. Just the fact that I was told that, made me decide that it's not worth it to go there anymore. Is it really worth it anymore, trying to bring them business. The owners seemed really nice but what happened that day? Hmmmmm sorry guys. No more. And feathers in my wings don't help. Now if you know me as a Yelper. I was leaving this establishment and the manager/owner came to us and accused us that we didn't pay our bill, after paying and leaving a gracious tip for the waitress and spending close to $200. This idiot came running to the door and accused us we didn't pay our bill. I spent close to $1,000 in the last 4 week watching NFL games at this location. After I ripped this guy apart for his fake accusations, our waitress came running and said they paid. I asked for an apology again and this idiot hid behind the cash register. I asked for an applo again and nothing. I will never come back to this place. I dealt with slow service although this is the last straw. Total asian attitude to all non Asians. Meh. Second time here. First time we came for 'happy hour' Ordered the chicken taco for $4 and wings and fries for $7. We waited 15 minutes to have a server come by and take our order. Then our food was brought over by a male server. He asked if we wanted ketchup for the fries, yes please we said. He said he would be right back and then went and chatted to a server at the bar and never returned with our ketchup. We came a second time on Sunday for the half price wings. Our wings came out about 30 seconds after we ordered them. That was a pleasant. We had no napkins, no drinks, no cutlery- nothing. We asked for the napkins and got them. Then had to ask for our drinks again, which our server had completely forgotten. The dill pickle dry rub wings are good. The Fiji dry garlic, meh, not so much. A bunch of garlic and other spices chopped up and placed in a blob on top of one of the wings. Nothing on top of the others. The service here is basically non existent. All the servers stand around and just ignore you. You are ignored when you walk in, nobody seats you. No sign telling you to seat yourself. I understand that this is a new location and that they have only been open for a week. That being said, I saw only the most minor of changes in the decor. The staff were polite but not particularly proficient. There were maybe 8 tables of customers and about 4 serving staff. We ordered off the happy hour menu and many errors were made. Items were forgotten and the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed for such a small customer base. We had to repeatedly ask for things like napkins and water. Drink orders were forgotten a few times and it took the server 4 attempts to get our bill correct. It was a bit of a gong show and I felt embarrassed for them. Devon, the Manager of this location offered no apologies for screwing up my Door Dash order. He was rude, blunt and arrogant. Having worked at the Cactus Club for many years, we were always taught that the customer should always be made to feel whole when something goes wrong. He did not care. Wings left the cheese and ground beef out of my taco salad order. When I called, I asked for the Manager and he immediately was rude as he said he was the manager and what did I want. I told him that they left the main components out of my order and he laughed and said that I was correct, that they had forgotten to put it in the bag. No apology. He told me to contact Door Dash for a credit. I told him that it was dinner time that all I had was a bunch of fluff and he said that he was not about to go and drive to my house to drop it off for me and then I would have to do it through Door Dash. Even though I'm sure he is correct because they do not offer delivery, there was no apology and no remorse for the fact that they screwed up my dinner. I work in Ironwood and used to go to Wings often and prior to that it was Original Joe's and I would go there often as well. I'm never going here again because of what just happened.
