Came here for UFC PPV. These were some of the best nachos I've had in a while. Generous portions of guacamole, salsa, and sour cream. The toppings were all perfectly rationed so that you had something on every bite. The Caesar I had was also delicious, made a little extra spicy (the way I like). Again they had generous little extras like pickled beans, jalapeño, and pepperoni stick. I loved it all. Service was attentive and friendly. We've been going to this Match location since their opening a few years ago, so a review is rather overdue. Before that, we used to frequent the Match at Starlight Casino in New Westminster since it was the closest one to Vancouver at the time. This Match is located in the Cascades Casino / Delta hotel complex right along highway 99 and 17A. The food has been pretty consistent during our visits here, and most of the menu offerings are great for pub / sports bar dining. I highly recommend taking advantage of their daily specials and happy hour menu since there are some tasty items at discounted prices. The Match chain will also offer seasonal menus from time to time showcasing chef creations, which can be viewed on their website. Service has always been stellar; we've been treated well every visit. The dining environment has a great ambience, and there are a large number of TVs for viewing sports games. The restaurant hosts various events during the week, such as bingo / trivia nights, holiday parties, live music, and prize draws for sports team memorabilia. It's just a fun place and always an enjoyable meal whenever we stop by. read more

Typical sports bar ambiance. Fifa world Cup game was on but was only moderately busy. Got a table quickly. Table was sticky.Server's thick accent was difficult to understand but took our order successfully nevertheless. Drinks came quick enough. Food was a bit slower than expected. I got the brisket sandwich. It wasn't excellent.... very low meat-to-bun ratio. very light toppings as well. After adding some HP sauce it tasted decent. French fries were a bigger disappointment. greasy, undercooked, unseasoned. Wife got the steak sandwich, which was actually served as a handheld, unlike every other steak sandwich I've ever seen in my life as a knife/fork affair. steak was cooked to order ok but poor quality, tough, grissley. Same opinion of her French fries. Quality check didn't come until we were pretty much done with meal. Would not recommend. read more

Some business associates and I went for dinner after the Barnside Harvest Festival 2024. I ordered the Truck Tacos. My friends ordered a burger and a chicken burger. We split a starter of calamari. I'll start with the positives; the service was prompt and polite. The place was clean and had a good buzz going. Not packed but definitely busy. My friends ordered wine. I ordered a pint of Corona and was impressed by the branded glass it came in. Unfortunately that was the end of the good. My tacos were not only bland, the halibut was over cooked and super dry. My friends' burgers were ok, nothing special and reportedly on the bland side as well. We're pretty earthy folks and we were starving, point being any decent tacos and burgers should have easily hit the spot. Service, booze and ambiance get a thumbs up. The food? I'd rather hit DQ or Taco Bell for the price. read more

Went Saturday night with another couple. We had reservations and still had to wait 5 minutes for them to clear and clean the table as we requested a booth. The waitress came about 3 to 4 minutes later and we ordered our drinks. I felt it was an unusually long time for the drinks to arrive as the place was very busy so I let that go. When they returned with the drinks we ordered. I ordered the 100 layer of lasagna, gnocchi with vodka sauce, sweet chilli bites and the tiger prawn spaghetti. Interesting enough the food came without any utensils so we had to ask for them. We also had to ask for more napkins. All the food was very tasty. The waitress said the 100 layer was a good choice so I ordered it. It looked triangular shape as though it came out of a box from the freezer. I had to ask for cheese and chilli to add to it. Two bites in I called the waitress over as the meal was warm at best. She took it back and got me another one. This one was slightly warmer. I expected it to be steaming hot or just hot but no such luck. The manager came by and I expressed my disappointment with order. Again they asked if I wanted to order something else and I said no. Reason being is that it would take another 10 minutes or so and every one was almost finished their meal. This truly is a downside sending food back. You wind up being last, everyone is waiting for you to finish. The sweet chilli chicken bites were good and it was an appi. Compared to other places it was much smaller and more could have been added. It is unfortunate that the waitress gets to deal with unacceptable meals and she did her best to rectify the meal, she was good. The place was clean and I noticed tables were quickly cleaned. Another plus that I like the meals for the four of us came all at once with 2 other waitresses bringing the meals, Something that I like. I will return again to give it another try. read more

Match is truly a lifesaver as lineup for the buffet next doors is outrageously long. So we settled here for a quick bite instead and fortunately they did not disappoint. Every Sunday all pizzas on menu is only $10 while Caesars are $2 off. Nice. We tried the Margherita pizza, fish and chips, and mushroom pesto rigatoni. All pretty standard pub fare and they were above average I'd say. Fully energized now so back to the slots we go ^_^ read more

On January 31st, we had a table for 2 reserved for 5:00pm. We counted no fewer than 5 servers milling around us. It was near 30minutes since being seated, without a greeting from any server. We then complained to the hostess who sat us at our booth the 1/2 hour prior and she was stunned. They then carelessly brought us the wrong food-- Fish instead of chicken. No apology nor break in our bill for the poor service. What's the point in making reservations at your eatery if your servers wait almost 1/2 hour to show up at your table? Thumbs down all the way and yes we did do your invite for the post survey for wasting our time. read more

Assulted by the server at the Delta location June 22. The server, Donna W, said I better give her a good review. I jokingly said I would. She heavily patted my head like I was a dog. After the third time, I told her to Stop and never touch me again. I hat a hat on and there is a metal peice that holds the button on the hat in place. It was very painful. I have MS and when my head gets hit or I move my head quickly, I get vertical. As I stood up to leave, I almost fell due to the vertical. I never met this person ever and it was the first time I was at this resturant in Delta. This evert was very demeaning and embarrasing. I have complaint on their facebook page and called and left a message for the manage to get back to me. No only responded as of yet. read more

Went to match eatery at the casino. It is similar to a sports bar. As it is the only restaurant there besides the buffet, children are allowed in the eatery until 10pm. We made reservations and all was confirmed and we were sat quickly. About 4 minutes later, the waitress appeared and took our order. We were ready to order our food by the time she came back. There were 4 of us. Food was sweet chili chicken, French onion soup, steak sandwich and a grilled chicken Greek goddess salad. No complaints whatsoever. Everything tasted great and there was so much salad that it couldn't be finished. A bit noisy but football and hockey were on. I would recommend people give it a try. read more
