Little cozy neighborhood pub. Friendly staff and environment and the only place other than tap house with a pool table.

Tasty pub overlooking the water at Horseshoe Bay…read more Parking is available behind the building, as well as along the various village side streets. The venue has the classic Irish look, with plenty of wooden trim. There is also a N facing patio, though it was closed when I went. Staff are friendly. No complaints. As it was happy hour, my friends and I went for their burger & beer combo. The burger is pretty solid. Doesn't include sides though. I added an onion ring upgrade. Pretty decent as wel. The calamari is also quite good here. Fluffy and not too greasy. Definitely wouldn't mind coming back at some point. Recommended.

Elizabeth at the bar was very attentive. I ordered the soup of the day, a single piece of battered fish (instead of a full fish and chips), and a beer. They have a good beer selection and some cans to-go. I also ordered a tea. I was able to charge my electronics and work on my laptop a bit. Overall, I recommend the place! There were lots of TVs playing Olympics when I went. They had booth seating, high tables, and bar stools. Looks like a good neighborhood bar/conveniently located for anyone else like me waiting for the ferry!

I was intrigued by the location even before I came here in person as I could see on the map that it was in a residential area, away from main streets and other commercial businesses. There was only one lady working here (Monika). I came here with my mom. She ordered a Chai Latte and I ordered a Matcha Latte. Our drinks came out fairly quickly but we had to wait quite awhile for our food. We had each ordered a slice of quiche with a bowl of Potato & Leek soup. Monika realized we had waited quite awhile for our food and brought us a chunk of carrot cake on the house to make up for the long wait. She said this cake was their bestseller. No room to eat the cake as tummy space was already taken up by quiche and soup, so we brought the cake home. The cake was quite good indeed and I enjoyed the quiche as well. Drinks and soup could have been better. I would have preferred my Matcha Latte to have been sweeter and my mom felt her Chai Latte was a bit too sweet for her. I think this place has potential and perhaps might do better with a bit more help. It's a charming space in a nice, quiet neighborhood. I do hope there will be more staff working here eventually. Kinda sounded like Monika had taken over this shop not too long ago so...guess it's in a bit of a transitional stage.

They only serve their hot brunch on a weekend, as during the week there is no chef available so it's the pastries and such in the window on offer. We enjoy their brunch offerings, finding them reasonably priced and overall quite tasty. I often get the big breakfast type dish with eggs, bacon etc. They had waffles at one stage that the kids loved but that doesn't seem to be available all the time. We can't go past a pancake on the side, as they're so tasty and cheap! Pancakes all round! ($2 each last time we were there). We enjoy coming here for consistent quality in a different setting. Service can be a little slow at times, though friendly, but they're a small, popular location with minimal staff covering the demand. There's also a small bodega type shop if you wanted to grab premade items or less common snacks. If you come in earlier on a weekend, getting a seat shouldn't be a problem. There's also a nice patio to enjoy the sunny days on. Pretty sure I've seen a few dogs here in the past. They do a good hot brunch which I'd recommend if you're in the area or posting through.

I really loved how expansive the menu was, with plenty of our favorites featured. For me, the barometer of a good persian place is their Kubideh, so I opted for the Vaziri, with my wife ordering Ghormeh Sabzi, and Lubia pollo for our son. Everything was amazing. The grilled chicken and kubideh from the Vaziri was tender and juicy, quite possibly the best I've had in some time. The rice served with all three dishes was also tremendous, with savory and buttery tahdig that was to die for. The family loved their ghormeh sabzi and lubia pollo as well. So our first persian food outing in Vancouver was a hit. I know there is plenty of Persian food to choose from in this town, but hopefully when we are back this way, we will come back to MIraas as well.

I'm an eggplant lover so when it comes to Persian restaurants, Bademjan has long been my "go to"…read moredish. It typically has meat in it so I've had it a lot less ever since I became Pescatarian. When I read the menu for Miraas online and saw that they had a Vegetarian version of Bademjan, I knew I had to try this restaurant! I came here on a Thursday evening with my mom and we ordered the following: Mirza Ghasemi (Smoked Eggplant Dip) Breaded Shrimps Veggie Mosamma Bademjan The Mirza Ghasemi appetizer came with one piece of bread which my mom and I split into half. It was a warm and tasty appetizer. I was a bit surprised at how quickly it was served to us, but found no fault with the dish and sooner is better than later. With only one piece of bread for this appetizer, there was plenty leftover to bring home afterwards. Mom's Breaded Shrimps dish was super crispy. It was basically like a Prawn Tempura in a Japanese restaurant but a lot crispier than that. I think my daughter would love this dish and will have to bring her to this restaurant so she can order it for herself sometime. My Veggie Mosamma Bademjan was served with a very generous portion of Tahdig (Crispy Persian Rice) and it was the most beautiful plate of Tahdig I have ever seen. I've seen basic versions of Tahdig online. A basic version would be white rice on the bottom with a golden crust on top. This one had the white rice and golden crust on top, along with a sprinkling of dried barberries, something green (pistachio or pumpkin seeds?), and grains of dark pink rice scattered around the edge of the plate. It was so colourful and quite the sight to behold. Service could have been a bit better. Our server wasn't rude or anything like that. Just that I felt like I had to constantly stick my hand up and wave it in the air to get attention. Would have been nice if our server had simply been more attentive to us, without me having to wave my hand in the air. Food was awesome though. We will definitely come back again sometime.

It was served in a scalding hot bowl. The rice was crispy at the bottom and I was amazed at how well it retained its heat. Even when I blew on each spoonful to cool it down, it was still piping hot when it entered my mouth. My niece ordered some tacos and said they were really good. She said she had ordered them before so they must've been good indeed since it was a repeat order for her. My mom's Avocado Benedict looked really good. I will have to try ordering that for myself next time! Service was "meh". It was one of those situations where I could see our server but he was constantly facing the wrong direction. It was ages before I could finally catch his eye and flag him down.
