My…read morefriend and I decided to take a drive and I remembered Blvd Bistro was on my list of places to try for a while now. Traffic wasn't too bad, so we arrived in good time. We parked on a side street not too far away and noticed how friendly people were as we walked to the restaurant. Everyone said hello and smiled as we passed through. You certainly don't get that same experience in many other areas of the Lower Mainland. Because it was spur of the moment, we didn't have a reservation. We put our name down with the host and waited about 10-15 minutes for a table. The restaurant was a little noisy but not overwhelmingly so. We both had coffee, which was really good. I should've asked what kind of coffee they serve because it's not very often the regular drip coffee is this good. I was having a hard time deciding between the Blvd Blackstone Benny with maple bacon and the Smokey Brisket Benny. I ended up choosing the latter with a side of avocado and my friend had the Huevos Rancheros - he added a side of fried potatoes when he saw how good they looked on my plate. I took one bite of the brisket and I was instantly so glad I chose it. The meat was so tender and flavourful and I didn't even need my knife to cut it. It was phenomenal. My eggs were overcooked but immediately replaced with new eggs when I mentioned it to the server. The replacements were soft with perfectly runny yolks. She also brought extra hollandaise sauce. My friend's meal looked amazing, in fact I now have to come back just so I can have this dish. I wasn't able to finish my meal so I boxed it up to finish later. I will definitely come back here to try more of the menu items, especially when the coffee is this good. Makes me wish I lived closer!

The food and drinks arrived to our table at a good amount of time although, it took a little bit for the server to come take our order or to re-fill our waters. Maybe it was because we were in the patio area but the server was very nice. The food itself was really good. I got the breakfast sandwich. The brioche bun was soft yet crispy and the flavours were nice. My friends got eggs benny. They said it was good although the egg was not runny, rather a soft jammy egg yolk. If you like a runny yolk, be sure to let the waiter know. On the table they have a hot sauce, and that was delicious. It was sweet and tangy and had a good amount of spice. Overall, it was good and I would come back again

Roof top patio + Happy Hour = a pretty great Saturday night!…read more We did not know that Happy hour was offered 2-5:30 pm daily! In fact, being from Phoenix, we are mostly used to Happy Hour being a weekday thing. Last Saturday, I ordered their snack burger for $10 and fries for $5. It was surprisingly tasty and satisfying! 100% Canadian beef, aged white cheddar, pickles, house mayo + gluten free bun + $2. I omitted the caramelized onions due to my SIBO but I bet they would have been delicious! While living in Arizona, I have been spoiled with excellent margaritas made with good quality tequila. So when I took a gamble on the HH margarita here for $10 but I was pleased with it even though it came with a LOT of ice. Others ordered the Pesto Linguine with shrimp $21 and the Ranchero bowl $19. I will leave the commenting to those who actually ate them. It got chillier after 6:00pm when the auto shades came down and a breeze kicked up but that's what you have to expect on a roof top! When the weather is still pleasant, there's just something extra nice about dining outside. Cheers!

It is a very comfortable place to watch game. We ordered a few beers, fries and chicken wings. Waffle fries were very crispy and decent. Highly recommend if you like to have drinks , meals while watching game!

How many times has it happened to you where you walk into a restaurant and before you have even fully walked in....the host smiles and greets you...like they are literally welcoming you in through the door personally? How many times? Myself. Only once or twice and today was one of those times....by our lovely hostess/server HANNA L. The restaurant itself has a really cool, chill, relaxing, friendly vibe. Aside from its great floor plan, it just has an inviting energy. Oh, and you have to see the outside ....they've got fire pits! :) What's more awesome than sitting around a fire pit in the fall?! We sat in a cozy little booth, ordered a couple of Social Lagers, Dry Ribs and the Traditional Pub Burger. All fantastic. I've had this same exact combination of drinks and a meal at a different Browns but this hit different. The Burger was expertly made (see pic.) The dry ribs were a stunning pairing with the crisp Lager. We also ordered a side of gravy. You have to try their Gravy! It's ridiculously good. I'd probably dunk my rain boots in that Gravy and have a bite and it would taste good. The Dry Ribs were hot, with Peppered Salt juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. With the fat trimmed off of almost all the bits, there were a couple of little pieces that were intentional rib fat which were heavenly. Yummm! We ended the meal with their newly added addition to the menu, the Sticky Toffee Pudding (see pic.) Quality creamy vanilla ice cream with chocolate sponge melting in your mouth and Toffee pouring out.....yup. The Lagers were typical cold ones that really hit the spot on a Friday afternoon starting off the weekend while gladly sliding into a beautiful Autumn Transition in cozy Lynn Valley. Hannah took care of us delightfully from beginning to end, as we also had the chance to meet this location's manager Connor who was equally on top of his game clearly running this place with his great team on a stellar level. Thank you Browns Lynn Valley. For a wonderful Friday experience.

We ordered some pan fried gyoza to start with, a cowboy salad with grill chicken, and a French dip sandwich to share. The food was freshly made, and portion was pretty good. I enjoyed the salad a lot c as it comes with a lot of proteins and fresh greens. The French dip was nicely done, exactly how I remembered from many years ago. Although the gyoza tasted just like store bought, with very chewy skin and not much meat inside. The restaurant is bar style, with many TVs hanging around. I would definitely come here again if there's a game going on. It's a great place to social and watch sports.

The place has a dated retro look, with vinyl seats and plenty of Elvis style stuff. Definitely a blast from the past. Staff are friendly and helpful. No complaints. The deluxe burger is pretty juicy. Didn't try, but worth mentioning. Good choice if one wants diner type food.

Wifey ordered French toast. I also ordered perogies. Fairly standard breakfast fare. Nothing fancy. The waffles imo could be better.. they were kinda dry inside bit fluffy. Def crispy on outside but with the missing fluffiness inside it kinda detracted from the enjoyment of having waffles. Rest of the breakfast food was as said standard and decent. The one thing that did stand out was the home made perogies.. they were very delicious. Over all, decent place to get your breaky but i don't think I'd go out of my way again to visit.

So we came back and my daughter ordered the Babka French Toast again. She didn't ask me to share it…read morewith her but simply made sure to stop eating after she had finished about half the dish. Much appreciated as this allowed me to order something different. I had The Classic which came with Eggs, mushroom & broccolini, potato rosti, baked beans, roasted tomato and housemade sourdough. We also ordered a Nutelle Hot Chocolate and Matcha Oat Latte. I loved The Classic. While I do enjoy trying new things all the time, I think I'm a Classic girl at heart. I often fight the urge to order the tried and true for the sake of trying new things, but I'm ever so happy on those occasions where I give in and order something more Classic. Baked beans and toast remind me of family trips to England. Havn't gone for one of those in years, but I do have some good memories of them. When they're on sale here, we sometimes like to buy cans of Heinz British style baked beans, and I sometimes make my own homemade version of baked beans to store in our freezer. I don't often see baked beans on brunch menus so this was a bit of a special occasion for me to be able to order something with baked beans for brunch. Personally, I would have preferred the beans to have been just a little bit softer. Nothing wrong with them. They were fully cooked but perhaps just a little bit firmer than I'd have liked. I prefer my beans very soft and I tend to be like that with a lot of foods in general. My hubby prefers his foods firmer, and I like my foods softer. It's a personal preference. Otherwise, I very much enjoyed this dish and am very likely to order it again sometime! Oh, the potato rosti in my dish was awesome as well. This meal was so filling though that I only ate one small corner of the potato rosti and then took the rest home to eat as I was very full already from everything else I had eaten from the plate.
