This is a new place on Southeast side so we decide to show some support and try it out. The staff and kitchen crew are very nice and friendly. They answered all of our questions before we ordered. We decided to dine in so we grabbed a booth. There are about 10-11 booths in restaurant for seating. Now let's talk food....The French fries are really good. They were fried to perfection and seasoned. My husband got two flavors of wings to try on his 10 piece combo order, Teriyaki an BBQ. The wings are naked and then sauced. We both felt the wings could be seasoned a little more and sauced more also. Also, the Teriyaki sauce was a little watery. The wings were okay. I ordered the buffalo shrimp. They use a butterfly shrimp and they are really big. As for the taste, I would describe them as just okay. They reminded me of frozen breaded butterfly shrimp just sauced. I will admit that I was expecting them to look and taste similar to the buffalo shrimp at Hooters. Overall, I am glad to have new spot in the neighborhood. In understanding that they just open, I will try give them another chance in a few months but I will say the flavor, quality and seasoning is lacking in some areas. This place is one of my two favorite wing places in Tucson. Their wings are done perfectly. And their sauces are by far some of the best. Also, great fries, potato salad, etc... all amazing! We have made sure to keep supporting them during the Covid shutdown. They are taking extra precautions as well, which is great to see. I really wanted wings, but refused to get them from the local big chain pizza place. I looked on doordash and this place came up. So I took a chance. Best decision all week. The wings are big, crispy and well cooked. The wings on fire sauce.... my blood pressure went up... In a good way. The lemon pepper, best ever. This place is fire (no pun intended). This little Rita Ranch neighborhood place is a gem. We ordered buffalo hot and bbq boneless and they were delicious. Perfect amount of sauce and so flavorful. Great local wings here! We tried this place because it is close to our RV park and we shop at the Safeway next door - we were so happy to find this place! The wings were perfectly cooked, nice and plump, but not overly plump and the buffalo hot sauce had a great flavor and the heat was nice and sneaky hot! Addictive! The fries we got were well seasoned and crisp. We did takeout due to the current Covid19 shutdown and by the time we got home everything was still hot and fresh tasting. First time coming here. Got the lemon pepper wings. First place in Tucson that seems to get how wings are suppose to be cooked and tastes. We've gone twice in the last two days (I love wings, what can I say?) and really enjoyed it both times. I called before hand to see if there was any dairy in the sauces or used when making the wings and the owner was super helpful. My husband also confirmed again when he went to make an order. I got the 10 piece wings with mild sauce and a regular fri the first visit. The wings tasted fresh and I really liked the seasoning used on the fries. The next visit I got 15 wings, same sauce and my husband got the chicken tenders. The wings were once again really tasty and tasted like they were homemade instead of frozen and coated in jarred sauce. My husband also enjoyed the tenders and said they tasted fresh. I called to place an order and spoke with a friendly young man. I needed to know if there were eggs in the batter that the Zucchini and Mushrooms are fried in. He said " I don't know, let me see if I can find it on the box" he then yelled and asked someone, returned to the phone and said "no one knows." So needless to say I didn't order. This was our first visit to Wings on Fire. The boneless wings were more like breaded chicken balls. Each was pretty spherical rather than the usual shape. The breading was pretty thick. The sauce was good. We also got chicken tenders and they were okay, but certainly not great.
