Service was fast & friendly. Our burritos were huge! A medium black coffee, two bacon-cheese-egg burritos & one chorizo-egg-cheese-potato burrito set me back $31.45. Yes, I would go back here in a heartbeat as our burritos were scrumptious and came with cups of good salsa. TIP + breakfast buffet was available too! *** the Zia Latte was fire ***…read more My daughter and I stopped by Kith + Kin Roasting before a long afternoon with a doctor's appointment in Roswell back on April 8, 2026. This hip cafe is located in downtown Artesia, NM near the Veteran's Memorial. The service was nice enough and very efficient in getting orders out. Lots of seating and I liked the lighting inside... not too bright, not too dim. They sure know how to make a good latte here. The Zia Latte ($5.90 for a 16 oz) consisted of "cayenne + cinnamon + cloves + cardamom + ginger + nutmeg + honey." It's so heartwarming and delicious. One of my favorite lattes in all of New Mexico! My daughter opted for a hot cocoa ($3.60 for 12 oz) and a house-made blueberry jam muffin ($3.80). I did not try the cocoa but she said it was "so good" and they made it to her liking, kid's temperature. The muffin was fantastic. Order at the counter. Pay. Take a number. They'll bring your items out to you. Check them out along with their hours before you stop by: https://www.kithandkinroastingco.com/

And after our experience, I wish I had recommended we stopped by another restaurant in a more central part of town. We arrived at approximately 12:40 PM. The restaurant was at less than half capacity. We ordered chips with queso. I should have realized that if a restaurant can't get that and salsa right its a HUGE red flag. The chips were incredibly salty and the queso was dried out overly salty. It did anything but fill our stomach while we waited 40 mins for a chicken quesadilla, the "foot long burrito " see pictures and, beef enchiladas. The quesadilla was average and contained what tasted like boiled chicken. The "burrito" was nothing near a burrito. It was the width of an enchilada. I paid an extra $3.00 for queso on my burrito which was the saving grace. However, that made it barely edible. The beef enchilada plate had one flavor, chili powder. Service was sadly not any better than the

Customer service needs to improve, both times we were there we noticed if you are not a "regular" you don't get the same service all those "regulars" get. One thing I did not like is that the servers use one of the tables in the restaurant to put all the coffee cups facing up and the coffee containers. For our taste that is not sanitary, regulars seating at the same table laughing and coughing on the same table where the coffee cups are, is very disgusting and gross. The coffee was always different. I hope this changes. Because people like us that spend the money to stay in the hotel and actually pay to stay deserves the same customer service as anyone else even if you are not a local. The servers need to be less rusty and pushy. Both times always in short on staff or they just don't care.
