In a town with few options, I begrudgingly defaulted to BWW because I figured I'd at least get to watch some sports during dinner. Service was solid, the servers work really hard to keep up with a big floor. However, this visit was a great reminder of why I don't come to places like this for the food. I got six wings with Nashville Hot for the sauce, and I think the picture says plenty. The plate was anemic, with tiny wings and no celery or carrots. And then the taste...yikes. This wasn't Nashville Hot, it was Carlsbad Cringe. No tang to the sauce at all, it had almost a curry flavor to it instead. Huge miss all around. Sure, there were TVs. Traveling to the area we decided to order through the app at 6:20. Transaction completed, food will be ready at 6:50. We arrive at 6:40, my wife goes inside and waits and waits and waits. It is not completely booked and she notices quite a few door dash folks standing around looking displeased. I finally go in myself at 7:30 - 40 minutes after our order was due, and start asking questions. The young waitress is like ok, yeah I think it's almost ready. I sit down, fuming, then decide to go back to the car. 20 more minutes later, I watch as all of these door dash folks leave the building with sacks. My wife then comes out shortly after, empty handed. They did not have one of our items and tried to sub something else. She said no, and got a full refund. My first impression of this place was trashy. You walk in and there's trash all over the floors and so many tables emptied but covered with trash. Was greeted by no one when we walked in, had to wait. Our server was extremely slow. We waited forever for our bill and she was slow in giving our card back and she charged us $20 for wings when we didn't order anything. Service was so bad we ended up not tipping her to pay for the food we were charged for but didn't get. In my personal experience with the wonderful Carlsbad, NM, Buffalo Wild Wings is THE ONLY establishment that has any form of customer service and civility. If you are visitingb(or living in) Carlsbad, NM, and you are stuck or otherwise unable to move out of this pit in the earth, I would advise you to only frequent this place. Although there was a serious staffing issue, the waitress I had was extremely friendly (I think she was the ONLY waitress). I wish I had the waitresses name. She was probably the only friendly person who currently resides in Carlsbad and I appreciate the kindness she showed to someone from out of town. I would also like to invite her to move out of that state and come to the beach. You are always welcome on the west coast. We would love to have you. I have read multiple reviews and I would have to agree on some points. The establishment does have a sleepy staff. The bartenders aren't superb and the hostesses might need to be replaced. There was a staff member still putting her shoes on at the entrance. We were later informed she was the hostess that had recently showed up for her shift. I'm going to go on a limb and assume she was late since the waitress seated us and the girl was half dressed. On behalf of the resaurant as a whole it was very clean and well kept. I have been to BWW in multiple states and cities. Understanding that this BWW is a very recent establishment to Carlsbad I hope it stays that way. The beer and food were great. I'm only giving it 4 stars for the food and the one waitress. If the food wasn't quality and I had a different waitress, the other staff would have received a 2 or 3. First of all, our server was nice, and a man who looked like he was a manager, put the football game on for us when we requested it. That was awesome, and we appreciated it. The place wasn't that busy. We walked in, and a man was going to seat us, walked away to check on a table, then never came back. A lady came to us and walked us to a table. Our server came to our table and took our order. It took a while to get our drinks, not because of the waitress, but because of the bartender. He was visiting with staff and other customers and cleaning the bar area instead of preparing drinks while our server was standing there a long while waiting on him to make the drinks. We finally got our drinks. Two of our friends showed up and sat with us. It took a while for them to get their drinks, too. Our waitress was nice but the good service kind of slacked off a bit the more tables she got. It still wasn't that busy, though. After guests would leave, tables stayed dirty for a long time. I didn't understand this because there were two men who looked like management just standing around talking to other staff members. I have been to Buffalo Wild Wings all over the country. This is by far the worst. It's not always the staffs fault. They are under staffed. But Sunday night football is on and baseball playoffs are on right now. They said earlier they would put Sunday night footballs sound on. Now they say the juke box takes priority. I'm pretty sure that goes against Buffalo Wild Wings policy or rules. The manager here is not a manager. He just avoids customers. There were two great bartender earlier. The wait is kind of long but that's expected. The tables are very clean. There isn't a lot of parking and you will get towed of you park in the neighboring business' parking lots. The Bourbon honey boneless chicken is delicious. The small had enough for leftovers later. All the food was spot-on. Had to ask for silverware but that wasn't a big deal. I would go again. My family and I went here on Mother's Day 2022. The hostess was quick to seat a family that came in after ours. There was no warm welcome, the hostess clearly did enjoy her job and seemed to be there for the paycheck. The only time we saw what look like the manager was midway through our lunch. The hostess had left a line of people waiting to clean the bathroom during the afternoon rush. We alerted the manager that was not the first time we had watched a line form in the lobby. There was plenty of tables open around us. Our waiter said he had been working in customer service since he was younger but failed to refill our drinks in a timely manner. Being able to wait on multiple tables is one thing, though providing exceptional service is something entirely different. It's a Buffalo Wild Wings, they're generally pretty consistent. We stopped in after a day of traveling (8 hours). Everything was going great until we received our check. I ordered two vodka waters, doubles. A usual drink for me. I always just order well, no big deal. Server did not ask or mention what kind of vodka I would like, so I assumed it would be a cheap well. $20 dollars for two Tito's doubles. If I would have ordered Tito's, or been aware I was getting Tito's, I may have not minded or perhaps not even ordered a drink. The server tells me, they are out of well liquor right now, and "sorry." I ask to speak to a manager. Apparently, BWW has done away with well liquors. Tito's is there well. NBD, if I would have known. I would have ordered a vodka I specifically like. Anyway.
